I just got off the phone with them after speaking to them for over a hour, first time they called I spoke for about 20 minutes and the second time it was for over 30 minutes. They are certainly targeting Indian/Pakistani people with this because they guys spoke Urdu, they had a harder time with english. They were very pushy and I told them I would visit their office since I live close by and then decide if I want to give this a go, they told me over and over there was no risk, they would pay my bill and and I would pay them back via their chase bank account. This went on for over an hour, I told them their site looked like a scam, they sounded like a scam, and at one point they guy told me that he needs to close this sale otherwise he will lose his job. They were trying the bro angle, like you are our brother, please help me help you.... in the end the last guy said "you CAN NOT visit our office, we wont let you in unless your a customer" security wont let you in. At that point I lost a bit of composure and started laughing, I told him what kind of business would prevent potential customers from coming in, and decided it was time to end the call. I told him that I was not interested and I will not be doing this at all at this point. I am sure he looked at the clock and decided time to call it quits. read more

The update is still never use this company. My unlimited plan I was grandfathered into was never restored, and since I was then paying egregious prices with T-Mobile for less services, I left that company. Honestly this all could have been avoided had I never used BillCutterz. Also I never was refunded the initial amount I paid for their "services." Services obviously in quotes because they did nothing, and actually got paid to make everything worse. Also this company had the audacity to send me an email a year after the initial date of this debacle to ask if i was ready for them to renegotiate on my behalf. Avoid BillCutterz AT ALL COSTS. I wish I had. I hired them to help me reduce my Spectrum Bill. They negotiated it and told me they were able to get me savings with NO changes to my plan. 3 weeks later I discovered that my plan was changed and I am missing channels I watch a lot as a result. When I contacted them to fix this issue, they blamed the plan change on Spectrum, refused to take responsibility and hung up on me. I will be disputing the money I paid them with Visa and I regret ever contacting them in the first place. Don't make the same mistake I did. Use Billshark or just call the retention dept of whatever company you are getting your bills from and negotiate on your own behalf. STAY AWAY FROM BILLCUTTERZ. read more

Just got scammed by this company. They used a stolen credit card to pay my bill. For two weeks a credit was showing in my bell account and so I paid them half the amount but after two weeks, bank retrieved the payment. I asked bell and they confirmed with the bank that owner of credit card report fraud activity of this transaction that's why they retrieved the transaction. Never trust them and don't give them half amount because after a certain time they will retrieve the amount they gave you. Don't trust their positive reviews those are fake too. read more

Billcutterz has harassing marketing methods. They called me in Toronto (Canada) over 2 weeks ago and I said to their rep that I was not interested. The guy keeps calling me every day 4-5 times a day using different phone numbers including one Toronto local number. I sent a complaint using Billcutterz contact form on their web site. Three days have passed but no reply yet. Calls from this company from the same guy continues. I will give them 2 more days and will send a complaint to the Canadian Federal police about these harassing calls. read more

These guys are awesome -- they reduced my DirecTV bill by $60 a month for the second year now. You send them your bill, they do their magic, and then you pay them 1/2 the savings, with the discount. They are huge timesavers, so definitely worth it! read more

They got my cable/internet service down from $178/month to $120/month and got me a higher internet speed as well. They get 1/2 of the savings, but if you pay the whole amount owed up front (rather than monthly), you shave off 10% of that. I tried to get my bill down myself, and had no success. So even though they get 1/2 of the savings, I still saved myself around $180 for the year, and didn't have to lift a finger. They also allowed me plenty of time to get my new bill to ensure I got the savings that they promised, before having to pay their fee. They say to call again just before the 1 year mark is up, so they can renegotiate a rate reduction again before the bill jumps back up. I plan to do so! read more

This is a scam. The said they can lower the bill $20, but it was only lowered by $10. I got billed and they keep all my alleged savings. Their response was to keep waiting another month for the savings to show up. It's be months and then they said I it was lowered $20 when it was indeed $10 and this is a scam. Stay away! read more

BillCutterz, horrible spelling aside, is a brilliant idea and just a really well-run company. It's super easy to use. You just send them your bills (cable, cell, etc) and they contact your utility companies, often with you on the line, to negotiate you cheaper rates. Then you split the savings with them.
