The passport also includes free bus rides across the city. The building looks like it is located in a seedy part of town (a few blocks away from Chinatown). The clerk who helped us is very nice. I liked the passport program. However, I wish they included more museums. I also wished that the organizers would let the transit service know about this program because a few times, some transit people told us the pass was not a legitimate bus fare. Someone get that memo out!

I emailed them the day before I left home and they responded quickly to say I could pick it up at the office. The woman who helped me in person was great. She explained how it worked, pointed out the couple of included places that were closed, and gave me a easy to follow map. The Passport includes around 27 attractions plus the subway and bus for 48 or 72 hours. I purchased the 72 hour version. It came to just under $100 American and by my calculation I saved at least $50 (American) by using it. I didn't even visit the majority of the included attractions so it's obviously a great deal.

We were a group of 26 (you heard me) and we had no troubles finding our seat or grabbing something in the lobby bar before the show. It was so cool to be sitting watching rising stars doing their thing! Not to mention knowing all the iconic comedians who have been part of this very comedy fest in the past. Also it was nice to be sitting inside since some of the comedy shows were on the main stage outdoors.

Place-des-Arts is a beautiful art venue nested in the middle of Montreal and a great spot to hang out as there is always something to see, do, or hear in there. It is the largest cultural and artistic complex in Canada. Place-des-Arts is Montreal's central entertainment complex. This fun entertainment area hosts many concerts, plays, festivals, parties, and many other events (Opera, theatre, or Broadway musicals).

Security was done right and only complaint was it was general admission. Although general admin we got there early so we only had one row of people in front of us. Pretty proud these legs of mine can still stand for 5 hours. These old style theaters are so ornate in decor and colour. You can only imagine how many live shows they have hosted and people who have come through the doors in the almost 100 years. It's also great seeing live music in a venue such as this as it's intimate with also being able to provide enough people to give you that boisterous live concert feel. The serve alcohol so you can enjoy a nice bevy or a few during the show. Only complaint is there appeared to be only one entrance and exit through the front door. So after the show there was a massive jam for the coat check and it was like a bad traffic jam on the freeway. Move to the left to avoid this if you don't need to check your coat.

I was outside by myself in a city I am not from and I was not allowed to find my friend who was my only companion. Im upset with how that was handled especially since I am clearly under 18.

I went for to see Alien Romulus, we missed the table service window so we had to order at the bar. That's fine, except we got moved to a POS screen which had a long line, and then we had to move to another POS screen that was free and place our popcorn and drink orders with the staff member. The employees were nice but how is this more efficient than continuing table service? It makes anyone late for their movie previews even later and potentially miss the beginning of their movie. This isn't a big deal and wouldn't merit not coming back, but it still doesn't make a lot of sense. The biggest issue I have with this theatre is the lack of immersion. During Alien Romulus, I realized I'd never been to a movie where the sound wasn't loud of clear enough and felt disconnected from the film. I then made this realization when watching Nightmare on Elm Street and The Substance. The lights actually came on during The Substance! That was what killed it for me. Besides this, the layout is so convoluted. You can't go to the second floor and then back to the first to refill your drink or popcorn. You can only leave and circle back to the entrance down the escalator with your ticket in hand. Like what is even going on? I'm done giving this theatre chances and am going elsewhere from now on.

Plus they're the only existing NHL club to predate the founding of the league. They are one of the original Six teams that made up the 1946 National Hockey League until 1967 when the franchise expanded. Sorry to say the Canadians haven't won the Stanley Cup since the 1992-1993 season. Everyone that knows me knows I love hockey. I can't tell you how many games I've been to and watched in my lifetime. I'm sentimental about the Canadians because I've got friends in Montreal. I sure can understand their dedication to this historic team. I'm recommending you support your team if you're in Montreal!!
