I found out later at a different repair shop that the fix was a $100 fix, not a $5,000 fix. And Don's Repair was HORRIBLE to deal with. The price they gave me on the phone was $500 less than what they charged me. Of course they said there were extra costs once they got into the process. In the end, it would have been cheaper to have the dealer replace my transmission (but I didn't even need a replacement). Total fraud. DO NOT GO HERE.

I live in the cities & reached out for a few quotes there. My mom lives here, always talks up the wonderful service she gets. I emailed for a quote. Luke's was the only one that asked for my VIN. Which i appreciated; means they're confirming what they're looking at! Luke's came in about $150-$200 to the lowest cities quote. Factoring in the fuel i'd burn through to get here, i determined they were worth it! When i received the quote back they were upfront that they couldnt get me in for two weeks. A few days before the appointment i called to inquire about how long the fix would take? And if they could give me a ride the few miles away during the fix? Chad said it would be about 3 to 3.5 hours and i could get a ride. Wonderful. Upon arrival i sat in the cozy & well lit waiting area....as i chatted up the desk fella, i asked his name? Chad. "Oh hey, we've talked a few times!" As we discussed my repair; he said he would recommend the Chrysler plastic/aluminum housing; gave the reason. He said it was the same price so i told him to go ahead w the Chrysler housing. Thanks! A friendly fella brought me home. Friendly Carl picked me up. I was told it needed a new motor by Luke's after they ran a few codes and did nothing else to see the status of the motor. Had it towed to my mechanic 20 miles away and he did a proper more in depth diagnostic and found that the motor was fine and that replacing the timing chain would do. SUV is fixed and running great and quieter than it ever has been. Maybe they will read this post and try harder next time. Probably should request the money back for the diagnosis that they charged me which could have been done at Autozone for free and been just as helpful.

Cordell's: Home of the $1,000 oil change!…read more We took our Jeep in for an oil change to Cordell's. Apparently their technician mishandled the process and damaged a part. Then the front desk staff thought it would be fun to charge us over $1,000.00 to fix the mistake...the mistake that they (Cordell's) made! Upon research, apparently that price is double the price that most shops charge for that repair. Cordell's should be ashamed of this behavior and you should not give this company any of your business. Cordell's, in their response, claim this scenario was the fault of my vehicle. I own two of these model vehicles, same year, that have had dozens of professional oil changes with no issues what so ever. I asked another auto service dept manager about this "common problem". They laughed and said "Its only a problem if the technician doesn't know what they are doing." Cordell's does not know what they are doing and the have no problem screwing customers when it suits their profit motives.

One, they recommended I have my brake fluid flushed as it was dark in color and could be a problem moving forward. I told them to go ahead and do so, even tho I was surprised with so few miles on my Jeep. Two they sent me a picture with a tire gauge showing I had tread ware in the yellow on one tire, no pic of one they said was in the red and two in the green. They said they could provide me with an estimate right away and replace what would be the (all wheel drive) whole set. That was a red flag to me as I'm a retired semi driver and know 100% my tires were all in great shape, I check them all the time. I told them no, I would take a look at them when I came in to pick my Jeep up. I requested the desk representative come out with their tire depth gauge and walk around the vehicle with me testing each tread on all four tires. NOT ONE TREAD WAS OUT OF THE GREEN. There is no excuse for that BS period! After I returned home I checked over my fluid levels to make sure that at least the rest of the paid (over $200) service was performed correctly, my antifreeze level was about one inch below the MIN LEVEL and the cap was half way loose. Now I'm wondering what was true or not about my brake fluid issue I paid over a hundred dollars to flush? I'm a Senior and was so looking forward to having my vehicles serviced close to home and locally. I will never use them again!!!

This type of wear is not normal if the vehicle had been properly aligned. We strongly believe the alignment was never done correctly, particularly on the rear tires. To make matters worse, during one of the services, our hood latch was broken--and no one informed us. We only found out later, and it wasn't until my husband got involved that they finally agreed to replace it. On top of all that, the customer service was incredibly poor. We were met with attitude and zero accountability, and no one took ownership of the damage or the alignment issues until pressed. This shop is proudly advertised as a "Best of La Crosse County" business, but based on our experience, that recognition is not deserved. I checked my bank, they charged me an additional $27.13. I called the company within the same hour. They said it was for a credit card charge. No where on the receipt does it say that, not did the man who towed my bus mention that. After telling them this they agreed to refund my card. A few days later I received a phone call from a man at this business stating a lady tried to refund my card of the over charged but she didn't know what she was doing.
