He ordered the latch on Thursday with an appointment for Monday, but told me he'd call if the part arrived sooner. Sure enough, he called Friday to let me know the part had come in and said that if I could get there shortly, they could install it right away. I really appreciated Tim going the extra mile to fit me in. Instead of being without my vehicle all weekend, I had it repaired the same day. Seems like great, "go out of your way for the customer" service is rare. It's refreshing to find a shop that communicates clearly, keeps its word, and genuinely looks out for its customers. The let us use their tools and he gave us a new battery (of course we paid of it) and replaced the dead battery and the car started right up. We went back and returned the tools and thanked the owner, who told us he could not change the battery in the car off premises for legal reasons.
