Absolutely terrible management. My estimate was scheduled for 9am. I should have known better when they didn't even show up until 1pm due to a "busy schedule". After checking out my property, they simply stated they CAN'T do the job because it takes too much time and resources. So essentially, they are refusing to fix my air duct because it isn't worth their time. This behavior is absolutely inappropriate and unprofessional. It's so amateur that they can't even manage their schedule properly. I'm thankful they showed their lack of professionalism and experience upfront and saved me the headache of hiring them. Where do I start, Billy Black was my second call. In the past we used what I thought was another reputable company. The company came out to look at our HVAC system and decided at nine years old they wanted to sell us a new system. They assumed we had a leak and it made more sense to replace the whole thing. That company quoted me $13,200 to replace the entire system. Fast forward to my experience with Billy Black. The first time I called I spoke to Billy, just a down-to-earth guy. Billy sent his technician Jake to give me a second opinion. Both Billy and Jake are true professionals. It's clear these guys operate on honesty and integrity. Jake used an electronic device to sniff our entire system. He could not find a leak. We did end up replacing condenser fan motor and topping off the system. I went from $13,200 with the other company to a few hundred with Billy Black. From now on, Billy will be my first phone call. read more

My AC went out while I was on vacation and I got back home to a AC blowing hot air. I called one of the other guys to come service it. They couldn't fix it but still charged me an hours work (im sure this is normal). I started calling around to the high rated companies to get pricing. Billy himself wanted to come out to do an estimate. When he got here, he was shocked that many things had even passed inspection when I bought 3 yrs ago and he was also shocked my outside unit even still worked since it was like 40 yrs old. He was the most reasonably priced to install my new unit, outside condenser and inside coil and heater and all that stuff. As well as upgrading my thermostat and wiring/gas line. His guys came in and then cleaned up after themselves and were completely respectful and professional. He also offers his own extended warranty (which I didn't take since I plan to move very soon) that other companies dont. I would hope if I ever had to go through this again (hopefully not while Im in town), that I could count on Billy again. BTW, research the brands everyone offers. Just moved into a new home that the builders rushed to get us in cause they were 6 months behind schedule, and of course there was problems but thankfully not many. Unfortunately we found out that the builders rushed getting us in so fast that they didn't allow the HVAC ppl do there final checks and functionality checks either so this we found out the hard way. We just had our first winter blast that brought us down in the evening to 19° and our heat did not work. We bundled up for a chilly night with just the fireplace and an electric blanket and we were just fine especially since the new home had foam insulation. Billy Black was at our home first thing in the morning as they had promised the builder and my wife said they were very kind, courteous and prompt at their job. They cleaned up very well when they were done also which most companies don't even bother doing anymore. Now our heat works like a champ. No complaints here at all and I will definitely be calling them to continue servicing our HVAC unit when my home warranty expires. read more

Got my 4 quotes for the work, Billy came out in person and was most knowledgeable and price was good. He showed up to the jobsite on time and with all the proper tools materials and labor. It was an all day job. He didn't cut corners, he used very good materials, and he double checked all of his helper's work. He wasn't satisfied until I was. It was a very good experience. Although Billy Black HVAC Service was not the lowest priced contractor in town, they do strive to be fair & competitive, And I can honestly say that they were not my first call for service, as a matter of fact I left messages several times with other HVAC providers, BILLY BLACK however was the only ones that answered the phone early this morning, and I am very satisfied with their repair & prompt, same-day service that they provided. read more
