Failed patch job less than one month later. We were charged over $500 for this non-guarantied repair.

D & D Plumbing charged me over $500 to repair a broken pipe in my front yard. They said that they would not be able to guaranty the job because the pipe was an "off" size and they had a hard time finding materials of this size to repair the pipe. Less than one month later, their patch job failed. We called them for support, and they wanted to charge another service charge to come fix the pipe. We fixed it ourselves using standard sized sharkbites which were readily available at the hardware store. During their visit, they also found a leak that my neighbor had. They charged them $300 to fix this leak. The leak was actually not the neighbor's leak, but the water companies. The plumbers should have pointed this out to my neighbors, but instead just took their money.

This past Sunday my AC stopped working and of course the part I needed wasn't available because everywhere was closed.

If you need attic insulation, save yourself a metric-ton of time and energy in calling around…read moregetting quotes and vetting companies. Just call Cliff and Houston @ Midland Insulation Company. We recently purchased an older home, built in 1959, The attic insulation was 6"-8" of fiberglass (white) insulation. Most professional recommendations (including TU Electric) recommends 15"-18". So, I started the arduous task of calling around to find someone who performed the service. After searching the internet and the Yellow Pages, I made 18 calls (not counting the calls made to FB friends who made recommendations) to advertised Insulation Companies. Most of the companies I contacted were either INDUSTRIAL INSULATION companies (who insulate piping and equipment in refineries, pipelines, etc. - NOT RESIDENTIAL SERVICES), or were Heating & AC companies who USED to do insulation, but no longer perform the service (but had not updated their websites - which plainly claimed they did blow in insulation, but don't). After all of that effort I had found 5 local companies who said they did blow in fiberglass attic insulation. The estimates ranged from $2400 - $3200 ($1.10 - $1.48 per square foot) for 8" of additional insulation, and all of them did the estimate without coming out to actually see my home. Additionally, they ALL stated that the estimate was just that - an estimate - and may be more if they needed to add more insulation than just 8" - They would just have to wait and see. ALL OF THEM EXCEPT MIDLAND INSULATION. Cliff with Midland Insulation came to my home the day I called. He put eyes on the project and reassured me that my recommendation for 8" of additional insulation was more than adequate, and that any more would be unnecessary. And, the best part of all: His HARD BALL QUOTE, not an estimate, was $1517.00. That's about $0.70 per square foot. Cliff and his Son, Houston (a family owned and run business - another plus) showed up the day after I called him and told him I'd like MIC to do the work. He showed up on time, and he and his Son were done in about 30 minutes. They made sure that I inspected the job, and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. They were polite, courteous, and ubber-proffesional. So, again, if you need fiberglass attic insulation (new instal or addition), save yourself a lot of headaches and just call Midland Insulation Company. You will not be disappointed. PS. I could feel the difference in the house within an hour of them completing the job! I cannot make a higher recommendation. I am elated with their promptness, punctuality, service, value, and professionalism.
