We called for a malfunction RO system. The plumber walked in and said "there is no leak. We don't fix RO systems that we don't install." The pressure varies read 0. He started the gauge was faulty and left. The gauge read zero because the water was off at the wall. He didn't check. When the water turned on at the wall, it went everywhere. This was less than 5 minutes after he left. He wanted to return later that night. They already reschedule from previous days due to being too busy. They are courteous but don't think things through. read more

What a joke. Kitchen sink was leaking. Came and told us they needed to dig up entire patio on both sides of the house and replace all pipes from kitchen. Wanted to go through the yard. House is pier and beam, that's not even where the pipes are. Quoted $21k for job. We had a slab leak under our Master (Tiled) Bathroom shower. We took bids and talked about it. We chose D&D because of the reviews and hourly cost. D&D responded swiftly with Master Plumber Jose Arizpe and a very knowledgeable helper. These guys tunneled through the adjoining bedroom closet to avoid damaging the floor and shower tile. Every other plumbing company we spoke to said they would need to go through the shower floor and the tile would be an additional cost. They not only tunneled (jackhammer/carrying mud and water by hand, etc...) but the work was very high quality (I'm nosy and looked in a bunch) and they were done in one day. We've been using D&D for years and haven't had an issue with their work. This last visit for a slab leak they told us the hourly cost and material and we agreed to it and then when the bill came they added an extra $800 as a helper fee and tried to tell us that's their new policy for the past year. This was never previously mentioned to us and we had 2 guys out fixing a leak at our new house 3 months ago and never had that charge and there were 2 of them then. There's too much competition in midland to be stuck paying outrageous prices so we'll be going with Ellis brothers from here on out. They do great work without price gouging. read more

We needed to get our pipes flushed due to slow drainage. Our plumber got his little fishing tool stuck in our pipes and had to call a back up plumber. For over an hour maybe two hours they were trying to get his equipment out our pipes. Finally they got the equipment out and said it was stuck on roots. He tried a couple times after that and said he couldn't do it. So after three hours no solution however, they still charged for three hours due to his equipment getting stuck. I called to leave a complaint or some sort of resolution, they said a manager would call back. They never did. 3 hours wasted, their mess up, no resolution, no manager call back or offer to make things right. Just terrible. Highly suggest no one uses D&D. read more

When I can't fix it myself I always call D&D. They are 24/7 which is awesome and very reliable. I'm not usually waiting for very long after I call for someone to show up. They are reasonably priced and very professional. This past Sunday my AC stopped working and of course the part I needed wasn't available because everywhere was closed. D & D Plumbing charged me over $500 to repair a broken pipe in my front yard. They said that they would not be able to guaranty the job because the pipe was an "off" size and they had a hard time finding materials of this size to repair the pipe. Less than one month later, their patch job failed. We called them for support, and they wanted to charge another service charge to come fix the pipe. We fixed it ourselves using standard sized sharkbites which were readily available at the hardware store. During their visit, they also found a leak that my neighbor had. They charged them $300 to fix this leak. The leak was actually not the neighbor's leak, but the water companies. The plumbers should have pointed this out to my neighbors, but instead just took their money. read more

This was Wednesday night and the motor would not come in until Monday. We called someone else for a 2nd opinion. He found that there was nothing wrong with the motor. If I could give no stars, I would. I called D & D on Monday Aug 19th and made an appointment for a plumbing problem. The scheduled me for Wed, the 21st between 12 and 5. I made arrangements to be home, but at 6 no one had shown up yet. I called and talked to a man named Eric who said he would personally come to my house within 45 minutes to an hour. Replaced tub and P Trap to tub. When we went to use our toilet which is plumbed next to to our bathtub. We discovered they had dropped spilled or poured enough dirt and debris into our main line it stopped the whole house system up!! (at 2a.m.). Including the washing machine.....We call at 8 this morning to try and get them to come fix it and they wait 5 hours before sending someone out. Both bathrooms flooded with sewer water and it stinks to the heavens in the whole house. They tell me I have to pay the labor and service charge and they won't budge! I end up paying 96$ to get them out and I am done! No more D&D plumbing at my house. Do not use them! They tried to create more problems to get more money out of us! It worked but, no more! They quoted me $20k to replace it all. when one small pipe had some rust and someone had dropped an old fitting in the pipes that slowed the tub drain. They left a mess and more! We hired D&D Plumbing to fix three water valves. The plumber went out to his truck at least 25 times in order to extend his time in the home. He also told us he did not have a certain valve that he needed, and we agreed to go to Home Depot and pick it up. D&D plugging came to my house to inspect my a/c unit and told me my unit was bad and needed replaced. 110 degrees out side, what do you do? So we agreed to change the unit. They installed the new unit and with in a week they had to come out because this unit was doing what my old unit was doing. (Same thing). They tried to charge me too fir it. They have been back 12 times and sent out every tech they have to "fix it." They all blame each other on the other guy not doing something right. But needless to say the unit it still not fixed. It's been over a year (which is over my 1 year warranty) so now I am responsible for EVERYTIME they send some new guy trainee out to look at my unit and tell me they don't know what's wrong with it. Today they just told me they can't figure out what's wrong with the unit and just handed me a bill. I WILL NEVER USE THESE GUYS AGAIN! read more

I do not doubt that D&D is good at what they do but VERY EXPENSIVE. They replaced 6 shut off valves underneath sinks in bathrooms and it came out to be over $600!!! I know that the boom is down a lot but apparently customer service by Midland companies is still as bad as ever. My air conditioner stop working on Sunday of this 2016 Labor Day. Called my father-in-law who works HVAC for a living (but not in this area) and he troubleshot it over the phone with me - my AC's blower motor was shot. I called D & D Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning based off of a recommendation. The tech said there would be a charge and that he would be out. Naturally, living in West Texas, my wife and I were glad to have someone come out and fix it on a holiday weekend. The tech agreed that it was the blower motor that was bad but did not have a replacement part in the shop. We'd have to what until Tuesday when the supply stores opened. The tech informed me that someone would be out Tuesday morning and even wrote the same on the ticket I signed. Additionally as we were wrapping everything up, he said there would be no charge since he was unable to help. I thanked him profusely and he left. (For the record, the tech was great. He was professional and kind.) We called to try to have someone else repair it but no one had the part. On Tuesday morning, I called D & D to make sure we were on the schedule for Tuesday morning. I was put through to who I believed was the scheduling person. I told her I was following up to make sure we were on the schedule for Tuesday morning. She said we were on the schedule and that they (being D & D) would get to me when they could. Now mind you I am home from work because I was told someone would be out Tuesday morning. So I pressed for something more specific - would you be out between 8-11 or 1-5, any kind of time frame, and was told something along the lines of you're on the schedule we'll call you whenever your next but I have no idea when that will be because we have jobs from last week on the schedule ahead of yours. She didn't care to be helpful and was short and rude about it - in my opinion. I know I'm a small homeowner compared to everything else they probably do, but seriously?!?! From what I can tell D & D prides itself on customer service and if this is their best I'm scared. Based on the fact that I was told in not so many words that there would be no help from D & D that morning, I called around and found someone that could come fix my AC that morning. I called and cancelled any service from D & D. You would think this was the end of my dealings with D & D. Incredulously, I received a phone call that afternoon stating I owed D & D $120. I asked for what and was told for the Sunday service. I made an excuse not to pay right then as I wanted to check my ticket. Remember the tech had said there would be no charge. I've reviewed the ticket, which says someone would be out on Tuesday morning (which didn't happen) and it says "No Col." Now I will admit I erred in not making sure the notes were more clear before I signed the ticket. I'm just so disappointed that the company doesn't honor their tech's words. What good is it to have your frontline guys out there representing the company, allowing them to tell customers things and then to just ignore what the tech tells the customer? I'll pay the fee as there is no sense in getting into a "he said, she said" type argument. However, I don't plan on using D & D Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioner again and would suggest that you not use them either. read more
