He then did the acupuncture and left for almost an hour (probably watching TV in his house) before he came back. 1)When we arrived, we were at what seems to be his house and not an actual office which was strange.... It also looked dirty and unprofessional. 2)I couldn't find a certification anywhere in sight and I also felt too uncomfortable to ask where it was, so I left and never received the service. 3)The sheets were dirty when we arrived and the place looked really unkept. 4)Billy was very accommodating to our schedule and sounded very kind but I would never recommend anyone to go here until he cleans up this place and makes it look like a real business. Billy's practice is absolutely incredible, and if you are seeking a long-standing relationship with an acupuncture practice, I highly recommend him. The practice is run out of his house, with a very cozy cottage feel and a beautiful, natural garden out front. If you are allergic to cats, it may not be the best fit--because there are cats wandering about--but if you like cats, there are plenty of cuddles to be had before your session! I've been a patient of Billy Zachary for over five years, and I can honestly say he has changed my life through his acupuncture practice. His biggest strength, for me, has been his care and understanding. This was my first time receiving an acupuncture treatment. I went to Billy's new location on Larry Lane, talked with Billy about what my concerns were, and then received my treatment from Billy. Throughout the treatment, Billy and I talked about different topics - where I work, martial arts, books, etc.. What I want to emphasize here is that the conversation was easy going and low key. When I got done with my treatment I felt as if I had gotten a really good massage. The effects of the treatment, however, showed mainly that afternoon and the following 2 days. I have never felt so balanced and free in my body before! I am looking forward to going back to Billy's again - although not too soon. Billy recommended that in my case, it would be best to limit acupuncture treatments to at most once per month. To me that says a lot. I was lucky enough to find Billy during a Groupon Ad. My right shoulder was giving me a lot of trouble with pain and not being able to lift it above my head. This had been going on for several months. I was even having weekly massages, which did help a bit...but still painful and could not bring my right arm up. Billy was so easy to talk to. He listened to my complaint and then had me lay down on my left side. He was soft spoken, had words of wisdom on why this was happening...(it was a very stressful time). I did not feel any pain with the acupuncture. In fact within about 5 minutes of laying there...it was so strange, where one of the needles was placed exactly on that ...muscle, knot, in my shoulder blade area..it started twitching. It actually felt strangely good. I felt very relaxed when I left. This of course was after my amazement of feeling like he got the spot. By the next morning...I could lift my right arm over my head! I am not joking...even the massage therapists was amazed. It was on a Sunday that I saw Billy. My shoulder was almost 100% better. On Thursday morning, it was back, but not as painful as it had been. I called Billy and he got me in right away. There was no twitching this time, but once again, the next morning I could lift my arm over my head. I went back the following week...and the shoulder is Fixed! I just went 3 times.... That's right, no problems with my right shoulder since then (its been over 6 months). I am amazed. Thank you Billy. I have an autoimmune disease called ankylosing spondylitis. When I was diagnosed with the condition in 2009, my rheumatologist basically told me that I could take immune suppressants (steroids or very expensive biologics). My husband and I were trying to conceive at the time, and I had no interest in starting harsh drugs. However, my pain increased to a point where I was desperate and thank the good Lord someone recommended Billy Zachary and acupuncture to me. I first saw Billy in winter 2010, and I remember the encounter pretty vividly. I was miserable, but I told him I was highly skeptical and pretty much thought acupuncture sounded like a bunch of "whoowoo" crapola. He just smiled and said, "That's fine! Hopefully I'll prove you wrong!" Let me just say that he most certainly did! I felt 70 percent better after my first treatment and 95 percent better after the second. I have continued to see Billy regularly for the last three years.
