Everything was running smooth going there until this female started running the register and my oil changes went from $60 to 90 and then the last one was 70 so I don't know for sure if they're putting the accurate oil in it because the price varies so makes me worry now read more

This is hands down the most disappointing and frustrating experience I have had in this town ( KOKOMO ) and state of ( INDIANA ). I don't know how to explain this situation other then give you some known facts as I explain this situation. My vehicle is titled and plated ( disassembled Veteran ) of Indiana and I am in fact a 100% service connected disabled veteran and this will all play in to this review later on in this explanation. I drove past this establishment several times after dropping off my son who's a Junior at the local high school. I originally brought my 2018 Jeep jk four door in to ( Billy's ) and asked if they would look at my jeep because it was making a squeaky noises while driving and smoke was filling the cab. After the diagnosis from the inspection they let me know it was the oil coolant reservoir and thermostat a common problem with Jeep Jk models as I have a 2017 as well and had this issue repaired on that one two years ago. Billy's offered to fix the issue for under $1300 and after a week I got my jeep back and immediately after picking up my vehicle from them the jeep began to smoke profusely. I immediately called Billy's and explain what was going on. The rebuttal at the time was I need to go run my vehicle in to the car wash and clean away the existing oil residue that was left over from my repair. At the time I was taken back that it was left on me to finish the solution to my initial reason for being a customer and paying for repair. After two weeks I used my jeep sparingly because the smoking in the cab continued. I then decided to take my jeep to another shop and only told them my vehicle makes noise like squeaking and smoking is coming in the cab and I wanted a full diagnostic done to see what's wrong. After getting a TRUE & Thorough full diagnostic from this second shop with detailed photos attached to my service response I was incredibly disappointed to see ( OIL COOLANT RESERVOIR & THERMOSTAT ) to be one of the items listed in the repair column that was suggested. I just paid Billy's Auto to do this work ? How could this be possible? Now I didn't notify this second shop of anything other then can I get the repairs they suggested minus the oil coolant reservoir & thermostat because in good faith I knew that ( Billy's Auto Repair comes with warranty ) on the work they did to a vehicle. Now shop number 2 was substantially more money in the quote at $1800 VS $1200 and some change like Billy's on the coolant reservoir repair but since they found a handful of other issues that needed repaired like the alignment front end reset steering sensor/ serpentine belt replacement/ valve cover gasket replacement/ front crankshaft seal removal and replace/ loose and missing components to be replaced and tighten to spec to the total of $3200. Due to the incredible detail and thorough documentation that shop number two offered to support their findings they left me no reason to doubt any of their suggestions. After shop two was completed I drove it directly to Billy's to and to my delight all the squeaks and annoying sounds had been handled. This is when the story takes a drastic ugly change. I showed up to Billy's and explain to them I had my vehicle checked out and I showed them that the oil coolant issue was still an issue but I did not let them know anything els. I did however allow Billy's to see the one page diagnosis that the diagnostic from shop 2 did but the issue is Billy's has in fact been paid for what was in fact leaking. Now after Billy's inspection they deflected at first and said no it's the valve to assist in the recovery of my funds when all he had to do was contact his bank and tell them he is not disputing the charge back so as a disabled veteran I'm hustled out of $1200 from this crooked man and his crooked staff he has chosen the personally groom to behave just as he will if he isn't in place and that's to be dishonest disrespectful and down right discriminating. If you are a veteran of the Arm services I urge you do not take your business to this dishonest establishment for the sake of keeping your money respected and not stolen like I have had mine stolen from Billy himself. If you by chance happen to have darker skin or are a minority like myself please do not step foot in this culturally bias establishment. It is clear as day that Billy himself has some of that old town blood in his veins. read more

My wife took her 2018 Chrysler Pacifica van to Billy's. Thursday 11-21-24 they call and tell us that they can't find a problem with the van. Asked us to keep it one more day just to be safe. Friday 11-22-24 they call my wife and tell her yeah I feel the van shaking and your check engine light is on now. We told them before hand this is what the problem was. They preceded to tell my wife our reader is broke keys are in the van you can come get it. So you had it for two days, knew there was a problem cause you admitted to it, then tells us to come get it cause your reader is broke. We told them we are going out of town next for the holidays so we needed to make sure the van was ok. You keep my vehicle for two days know something is wrong and does nothing to fix it. Horrible experience and just not good business skills. Will never go back there. read more

I had an electrical problem on my Chrysler 200 that appeared to be a weak alternator. They could have charged me almost $600 to replace it, but the first time they looked for the issue, they found corrosion on the electrical connector into the alternator; cleaned it off and the car worked fine for a few days. Parts & Labor about $150. But the problem reappeared, and I took it back, expecting to be charged for the alternator replacement this time. They just called, having found more corrosion near the battery connection. They cleaned that up, re-tested everything (twice), and told me to come get it. NO extra CHARGE!! They could have hit me for at least $600, but their INTEGRITY won out!! GOD BLESS BILLY'S Auto Repair!! HONEST MECHANICS!! Praise the Lord! read more

The car I bought for my son just stopped running with no other symptoms. I had it towed to Billy's Auto Repair and found out it had a broken timing belt. They had to hold it for a few days before they could fix it. Due to past poor analysis from other repair shops, while the vehicle was still on their lot, I had a friend go and check to make sure that was correct and it was. I could of had this same friend fix the vehicle but I felt since they were an honest repair shop that they should have the opportunity to do the work. They did the work and the vehicle is running fine after one week. My son was extremely lucky that additional damage didn't happen because the root cause was running the oil too low creating additional resistance on the belt. I am extremely happy to find an honest repair shop that knows what they're doing. They also charged less than their quote and included an oil change. Also, I put in for an address change because what was listed on Yelp was their very old previous location. read more

Went in to have power steering checked out, window regulator replaced, and a tune up completed. "Service" was completed in a timely manner. Oil change wasn't done, left low on oil. About a year ago sold a truck and new owner from out of state called Billy randomly for a once over before he purchased the truck. Billy checked it out very meticulously and never charged the new owner a penny. I was impressed and thought from now on I shall use Billy Repair when the need arises. Well last week my Chrysler Minivan developed a leak. Called Billy which he worked me in a tight schedule and changed the water pump the next day. After reading another review I decided to have Billy's Auto look at the vehicle for me to get an honest opinion on what shape the vehicle was in. They drove it and checked it out on the lift then reported back to me what the current state of the vehicle was. I bought the truck based off of the information that they gave me. I was traveling through Kokomo on a Saturday morning, which is about an hour away from home. Our van starts making loud clunking and grinding noises from the left front tire. We find Billy's open and busy. The waiting area is clean bright with lots of seating. Upon explaining the trouble, they tell me that they can look at it but may not have time to make repairs given their previously scheduled customers. Within 5 minutes they have pulled the van in to check it out and about 10 minutes later the service rep. comes back to tell me that my van is ready to go. They found a loose bolt in the brake caliper (leftover from a previous repair the day before at another repair shop). The bolt was replaced and tightened and I'm told "The keys are in it. You're good to go." Upon asking what I owe them he tells me, "No charge." I ask again but he insists that there is no charge. True to their word the problem was fixed and we were on our way salvaging our travel plans for our busy Saturday. Pleasant and professional and more than fair. A+ read more
