Stopped in here last weekend also courteously of Jennifer's wonderful review! Came in just after noon for some all day breakfast (Although sadly they're only open until 3pm), but man was I ever impressed! I ordered the potato latke breakfast and it was amazing! Those little latke's are to die for, I honestly could have eaten just a plate of those they were soo good, lol. The service was very friendly and prompt, I came in with 2 other friends so for 3 people our meals came out very quickly, and of course the food was absolutely delicious! Tried some of a friends Montreal smoked meat and it was damn good! I could definatly see myself stopping in for a nice deli sandwich. The portions are also enormous, I was stuffed after my breakfast, and could barely even eat dinner, lol. They also can make you pies which look absolutely amazing!! Picked up an apple pie slice and it was soooo good as well! On that note I'm sure everything here is good. not to mention good service, good food, and good people! I've now been specifically for lunch and while my overall opinion hasn't changed, I wasn't all that impressed with my dish. I ordered the club sandwich, which comes on a kaiser bun so you don't get that lovely stackable toast effect. The bun basically overpowers the deli turkey, tomato, bacon, lettuce and mayo. My mom had the soup (beef barley) which I tasted and enjoyed, although I've had better. Her hot roast beef sandwich was stacked high and my one bite allowed me to give her a thumbs up on her choice. I would rather come here for breakfast (served until 11:30 on weekdays, all day on weekends) but I am willing to give the lunch menu another try. I had seen some good reviews for Billy's and since my parents were in town last weekend, I thought, hey, lets go there for breakfast! This place was pretty busy but there was a few tables available. It's a bit cramped but manageable. I believe there are some tables upstairs as well so if you notice its full, there may be more room up there! I ordered the Mixed Grill. I originally wanted the Egg McBilly but they said it was only the sandwich and I was HUNGRY, so that wasnt going to work. The Mixed Grill came with toast, 2 eggs, bacon (or ham) and a pancake. I must say, everything was cooked perfectly. My eggs were the perfect amount of runny, the bacon wasnt too crispy and the pancake was fluffy and tasty. My family enjoyed the homemade jams that they include with the toast. My dad got the skillet and was stuffed. Everyone was very happy with their meals. I have lived in London for over four years now and I finally went to Billy's Deli now?! What the heck took me so long?! I've read the many great reviews, and friends telling me via word of mouth how amazing this place is, and they're all right. Since I live in the downtown area, my friend who was staying with me from out of town and I walked down here on this gorgeous spring day. We arrive around 11:45am, so I was deciding between breakfast or lunch, since I hadn't eaten anything at all. I was feeling lunch, so I went with Billy's Club Sandwich and a Greek salad instead of fries. The salad came with the dressing on the side and the sandwich was absolutely fresh, warm and delicious. My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict with fruit salad and the hash browns, and she ate every last bite. The ambience of the entire place had a quaint, small town feel to it, and our waitress was very prompt, and cheery, which makes every experience better, asking how we were and explaining things on the menu. This is a place that I won't pass up again, like a diamond in the rough. You want a good breakfast, lunch or even brunch, this should be your first choice. read more

I had breakfast here around 9am on a Friday. It wasn't busy, aside from our table there were two or three more taken up but they both had pretty big groups. This place reminded me of Cora's a little bit but way better food, just the layout and the decor is pretty similar. Lady that served us was super super nice and really helpful. Prices were more than decent. I got the skillet. It was hash browns (shredded potatoes) fried with onions and ham, on top we have bacon two eggs (however you like em) and covered in cheese. It was around 10 bucks and came with toast. I asked if I could get some cheese to put on my toast and she ended up bringing me a grilled cheese sandwich pretty much, it was aaaaamazing and the most pleasant surprise. My friend had French toast and or boy!!! It was like 3/4 of a huge bread loaf, big pieces all beautiful and golden, with syrup on the side. Another friend had a breakfast wrap that was on special for 8.75. Came with hash browns and fruit and he said it was deeeeelicious! Another one had an omelette - looked goood and they added cheese to it :) Everything came to around 45 bucks with tax, for 4 people and were full until lunch. I recommend this place 100%, one of the best breakfast places I have ever been to!!! read more

I'm surprised I haven't written a review for this place yet. I come here with work at least 1-2x a year! They're very accommodating of large groups. I usually get the cheddar cheese and mushroom omelette, sometimes with toast and potatoes, sometimes with just tomato. They can do substitutions like that. Their jam is great and their pies are yummy too! And I'm not a huge fan of pie, usually! This is your standard, good food for a good price with good service spot. No real gimmicks here! read more

If you are craving a good sized serving of meat on bread, this is the place to go. I think thay over 20 years I have tried all of the sandwiches on Billies menue. All are great. This time in I had the Reuben sandwich. Excellent. No review of this restaurant would be complete without mention of the homemade pie. This pie is so good people actually feel a sence of life fulfillment and feel that had more people eaten this pie there would be no need for war or inequality. Yum! Portions are huge and prices are great. Our table enjoyed turkey clubs, bacon & eggs, hash browns and French toast. Everything came out perfect and delicious. Fries are the real deal. Meat is piled high. Server was very friendly and attentive. Coffee was delicious. I really wanted to try the pies as they have every kind you could want and they all looked great but we were so full from our meals. A great breakfast spot in London. Arrived around 12:30pm, and there were tables to spare. Do you understand how great this is?? You always wait in Toronto. Sitting and getting served right away? Awesome. I was in a bit of a rush, and was worried about getting in and out in an hour, but the service was quick. Food was brought out promptly, and the bill was left at the table so that I could pay when I had to. I ordered the Montreal smoked meat breakfast, which was filling. The meat was juicy and delicious. Drove up from Windsor to an appointment at St. Joseph's hospital. We wanted to be close to where our appointment was so I chose this little spot. Been there numerous times usually for breakfast. Great prices and friendly cozy atmosphere. Service can be a little spotty. Sometimes it's right on or sometimes you could be waiting a while for your meal. However regardless of the wait the food is worth it. Known for the sandwiches you can't go wrong with the billy club sandwich. Heavenly. Only complaint is that even when they are busy they still don't seem to want to send people upstairs. One of the best breakfast places in London. The service is friendly, with a very informal vibe to it. All three times we've visited I've gotten the hash. Have them slip in some hot peppers and ask for the eggs poached, it's to die for. The last time I was there I got the special omelette with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and asparagus. My wife and I just found our new favorite breakfast spot. We had one of the best breakfasts ever with great service. Even the coffee was high quality. I had the: The Skillet Caramelized onions, bell peppers, corned beef, and a few hot peppers in a skillet. On that, fresh shredded potatoes cooked till crispy. On top of that, a slice of smoked ham, two eggs, two rashers of bacon, some cheddar cheese and some special seasoning. Then, the skillet goes in the oven and served with toast, jam and a sweet chili sauce. My wife had: A 3 egg Pan Style Omelette with Black Forest Ham with Swiss Cheese, with Homefries and Toast. To top it all off, we were given homemade strawberry jam. Also, we saw the homemade touch of the restaurant by witnessing apples being peeled for the homemade pies. This is the first time and the last I would come to this deli. The service was slow, even though there wasn't that many customers and plenty of waitresses. I ordered the Montreal smoked meat which tasted good, but portion wise is on the small side. My husband ordered a Ham omelet, I was not impressed by the look and taste, it's basically some scramble egg and few pieces of ham on top, there's no cheese to be found. In my opinion, it's a "lazy" cooking, I wondered if anyone would order it a second time. We asked the waitress about the missing cheese, she admitted that she made the mistake by not writing the order correctly, she said to us, "what can I do for you? you want me to give you a piece of cheese?" I couldn't believed my ears. My husband is not a person who complaints, and since he almost finished the eggs, he was not going to sent it back, he just want to clarify if cheese should come with it. The waitress didn't want to deal with us, she told us to talk to the owner/manager, so we did. No only the owner/manager didn't apologist to us, he took the waitress side, and even blaming us for not ordering correctly.
