I'm not sure why my review got deleted But that's not cool yelp !!! I wish I can leave a review about yelp !! Well anyways let's get back to my review which is what's important here I discovered these guys about a year ago and they have done multiple services on my car They have done an engine rebuild a transmission rebuild and custom services and I have been extremely satisfied nothing is perfect but everything has been on point customer service was great pricing was very fair the quality of the work was phenomenal... I would truly recommend anybody that's trying to rebuild or get repairs done to come to these guys ... they currently have one of my cars right now and they're doing a engine rebuild and so far everything is good .. very transparent they get right to the point and show you what's wrong and they recommend parts and whatever else you need with integrity Awesome guys to work with ..

I wanted to order my own parts, so they wouldn't warranty their work but I needed to save money as this vintage car project has taken a long time and included some expensive machine shop and cylinder head work. Car is running well and strong so I think it was a good investment, although it was significant dollar-wise.

I had removed the engine from my 99 Mustang Cobra at 200,000 miles primarily as a precaution as these motors die a violent death if the timing chain driving the overhead cams takes a dive. Many of the engines died a violent death prior to reaching 100,000 miles. Their teardown of the engine included a detailed, measured assessment of virtually every component for wear. For those not understanding what an engine tech teardown includes the cost may seem excessive when compared to the corner shop eyeballing stuff. The parts list included those scheduled for replacement plus those needing replacement. The careful inspection was necessary to understand what was happening with my motor. The alternative approach used under the shade tree either replaces more than necessary or misses things that will come back to haunt the owner. Thankfully due to the care received from a shop in LA, Mobil 1 + Lucas additive the engine was in very good shape and needed only pistons, rings, valves , timing chain and other wear items. The price was the price they quoted. The only surprise was the smoothness of the engine when I picked up the car from the installation shop next door. It was like a turbine had been installed. Expensive , somewhat Worth it yes ^3

I was told on the phone that they are not a transmission shop. This is not about repairing a transmission, but ensuring the new engine is not installed into a compromised drivetrain system. Even if engine was bought at your shop or not. Or even rebuilt or remanufactured or even used engine . A proper swap should always consists of Inspect torque converter engagement ,Check transmission fluid condition (not taking trans apart) Confirm no metal contamination is there due to a engine knocking and being destroyed. And if it needs transmission oil due to contamination or any type of flush due to contamination no need to take it to a transmission shop. As an engine swap specialist you should be able to do that if contaminated. If you guys consider yourself a professional skilled shop that specializes in rebuilding Engines and installing them all day as you claim over the phone, then what I was requesting for was no need for attitude or taking it to a transmission shop. For anyone considering an engine swap, it's important to understand that a proper Installation often includes checking related systems like the transmission and torque converter especially on high-mileage vehicles. These components can directly affect how the new engine performs and how long it lasts. In my case, I expected a more complete installation service that considers the overall drivetrain health, not just replacing a engine and moving on and not checking for what's recommended when swapping an engine. If a shop specializes in engine swaps (installation ) I expected them to at least discuss torque converter condition, transmission fluid contamination, and other drivetrain concerns that could affect the success of a replacement engine. Instead, I felt my questions were brushed off. I'm sharing this so others understand exactly what level of service is being provided at coast motor supply before making a decision. Especially if you don't know anything about cars. Please get inform. I was really looking forward to taking it to coast motor supply even though they had good and bad reviews, I still decided to get a quote. But after all of this and speaking with Omar and he giving me some information. It was a no for me . I called the following week (2nd time calling and last ) with follow up questions about torque converter and he was very rude and stated he had 3 other customers to attend to and didn't have time. I was willing to take my car to get repaired by them but with the type of customer service I got over the phone by Omar I decided to go to another place. Customer service has a lot to do with how customers refer or even decide to make business with. Clearly he doesn't need my business cause he stated he had 3 customers and 21 cars pending to fix. I would do my research if you're thinking about going to them and really see if they are the right place for your business.
