Awesome course. Well maintained and great scenery. Also a great price from GroupGolfer. I only paid $19 for 18 holes and a cart.

Phase 2. This course…read moreis amazing, and I thought I'd seen a great course with my review on Gull Lake View the East and West course! This course has it all! Great views, tough holes, long holes, you name it, it's there. The only difference in ammenities between Stonehedge and the sister course, Gull Lake View, is the size of the pro shop and lounge. Stonehedge does not serve breakfast, per se, but does have coffee available for that early morning tee times. At lunch, they served a great variety of food, but more for on the go, think freshly made, but wrapped and ready to go. I had an American sub for lunch and it came with chips and a drink. The pro shop is fully stocked with anything you might need, but I don't think it's quite as large as Gull Lake View, but it's only slightly smaller. It's not like I'm describing a broom closet... These are the North/South courses for the resort. Stonehedge is gorgeous!!! Woods, water, tight, long. Again, no level lies unless you're on the tee box, and a few blind holes that make for a great day! The second course at Stonehedge is more links style and just as challenging! Just because there aren't trees and hills in the way doesn't mean there's no challenge to the course! If there's even the hint of a breeze, you'll have a rough day! Sorry for the delay, I had to get myself a cup of coffee. That's better. Where was I? Oh yes... Golf. You know the Scottish invented the game, but over there, they called it Goff... Sorry, random quote from Caddyshack. Speaking of caddies, be glad they have carts! The story was told that there were two men that would show up a day early and WALK 45 holes before the outing started which consists of two days of 36 holes. I don't know if these guys were superheros, or just golf fanatics, but wow. I could barely move after two days... I can't even imagine! North Course South Course Black - 71.6 127 Black - 72.0 133 Green - 69.5 122 Green - 70.2 129 White - 67.4 117 White - 67.7 122 Orange - 69.2 116 Orange - 70.3 120 These courses seemed LONG to me, but then again, I was hopped up on ibuprofen and was having issues with my left knee. The North course has three Par 5's on each 9. Again, the courses were kept up in great shape and the leaves were blown clear of the fairways. Any trouble you get into is well off the fairway, and mostly hardpan. Not that I'm speaking from experience, but the ball tends to roll a bit if you're not in the fairway. There's a free, no penalty drop, from any of the stone hedges (hence the name of the course). When you go, be sure to book at the Villas. The four bed, kitchenette villas are perfect for a foursome or group of people staying for more than one day! ENVIRONMENTAL ALERT: Gull Lake View is a member of Michigan Turfgrass Environmental Stewardship Program and a member of Audubon International, which means they are a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. From the back of the scorecard: On behalf of the staff at Gull Lake View and the Scott Family, thank you for choosing one of Gull Lake View's courses. We hope you enjoy your round and have a great golf experience at our facility. If we can help in any way please let us know. Thank you!!! No, no, no, Scott Family. The clubhouse lounge was fantastic! They have a toppings bar for your hot dog/brat with different mustards, sauces, seasonings, etc.

GLV resort encompasses six different golf courses as well as the Villas (a place you can stay)…read more Unlike some of the earlier reviews, I see the courses as pretty high quality, well-cared for, and fun to play. I recently played five of the courses as part of an annual extended weekend with a group of guys. We never had much wait time and course were in great shape. Stoatin Brae and Bedford Valley feel like the higher quality courses, but the Stonehedge courses and Gull Lake East were also challenging but fun. Service on SB was weak for a top course (no water stations, no beverage cart) and food service at all but GLE is minimal. Otherwise, all the staff were friendly and provided great service. We also stayed in two of the Villas units. As others have said, these accommodations seem designed for groups who don't care too much about luxury or the small niceties that might make a place special. Inside the soaps, towels, sheets, furniture and decor were along the lines of a Red Roof Inn. The buildings/rooms are dated and show it. Ours was one of the recently "redone" ones but still had mold issues in the bathroom, a thick layer of dust on top of the fridge, and other signs of being poorly cared for. There was a kitchen that was woefully under equipped -- no serving bowls, no paper towel, no dish soap, not dish brush, no oven mitts, and the list goes on. There is a small microwave, coffee maker and good over and fridge. The "resort" has no real amenities for guests, other than some non-course putting greens around the units. As said in another review, no lake access, no lake view. In the end, our group fit their target audience. We put up with the accommodations because they are what is available and provide easy access to the enjoyable golf that itself is in a location that makes it easy for our group to meet up each year.

I was recently working with my son and his friends over a birthday party. Paintball was the plan but seemed like we weren't getting anywhere. Of the few places left in West Michigan, most required a specific number of players, had scheduling requirements, or were priced way more than what you'd expect to pay for teen party entertainment. The party planners came up with this place and it was exactly what they were looking for. This place has so much to offer and is willing to work with you on several options. Mini Golf, batting cages, go carts, bumper boats, and a HUGE air soft or paintball wooded area. They have a smaller arena for more novice players. I had to have my sons Co2 tanks refilled for the party. THIS WAS THE ONLY PLACE IN TOWN THAT REFILLED TANKS!!! I stopped in and was amazed at all the equipment. Rental equipment was in great shape and they had plenty of supplies to buy. Man have I been missing out by not coming here sooner. This is so big, has so much to offer. The only real downside to coming here is staffing and organization. They operate at minimal staffing and the grounds seem kinda haphazard. There no clear signage or directions as where to go or what's where. Going a couple times gets you used to the layout and how to make thing happen. The owners and staff are real easy going and helpful when you find them. Definitely consider this place for your next party or just a day of having fun. I didn't 4 star this place ONLY because it's a little awkward getting around at first. I didn't 5 star it because they don't serve beer. Lol Hope to see you there. (So I can shoot you in your face with a paintball) ;)
