It can be overwhelming searching for the right bottle of wine. However, the staff at any Binny's I have been to have provided consistently great service. The stores are always well stocked, well lit, and most importantly... clean. I would actually have expected broken bottles on the floor every time I visit, but no. Impeccably clean. Super helpful staff at this location. Everyone from the desk manager to the cashier were top notch. All the stock is organized and relatively easy to find. Good price points for most items. Pretty much if you want it they have, if they don't and you can wait for it, they can special order it for you. Beck's is my beer but I am visiting the area so special ordering a 6pack is out of the question, but they had 12 packs of it in the cooler. I settled on the Original of Hofbraühaus and am not disappointed. The staff is very helpful, and there is always a person there that is knowledgeable of what you are looking for. My wife was looking for a Pinot Grigio, which we found on our own. But then we asked about wines and we were directed to another staff member. They showed us a Pinot Grigio in the import area, and then even suggested a Pinot Blanca, which was the staff member's choice. Needless to say, we left with a six pack of bier for me, a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a bottle of Pinot Blanca for my wife. read more

Been going here a long time and had a bad experience today. Looked like 20 people working the floor and not one person said a word to me. I am a brewer so I like to look at the beer section for specific styles. Especially barrel aged styles. And as I'm looking I was being followed for damn near 15 minutes by an employee. Following me as I look for a barrel aged barley wine yet even made eye contact and didn't say a word. Knowing I was being followed I went to another aisle and she stood behind me following me and staring the entire time.. keep in mind I'm in no way looking suspicious as I'm in the middle of the aisle LOOKING. Pretty shitty feeling and overall lazy employees just staring and watching rather than helping customers. read more

I absolutely love this place. It has a crazy selection of liquor at great prices. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I have never spent less than a half hour here. There is always some liquor that catches my attention, that I've never seen before. I was wanting to have a bottle of Belle Meade Madeira cask bourbon like I had in Tennessee last summer, so I asked for a bottle. The manager ordered a 6 bottle case of it, so I could buy my one bottle. I've been to a few other Binny's, but their selection doesnot compare to Joliet Binnys. read more

Plenty of good selections. I couldn't find something and the guy bent over backwards to locate it for me. The problem was, I was unaware that a particular beer I enjoy had changed their label, so as I went down, that aisle, I missed it entirely. Nice service. Place laid out well and , not too over crowded at all. Wine to the right, spirits and beer to the left. Plenty of registers open. Place was busy for a Sat afternoon but didnt feel like it cause of cashiers doing a great job. Ice near exit just past cash registers so you can purchase first, and not have it begin to melt on you, before you get it to car and in the AC. And my favorite thing and why its a five star? No attitude! The Binnys near me , for years has had an attitude like, we were inconveniencing them by asking them for something. So I stopped going to that one. No Attitude at all in the Joliet Binnys whatsoever. Liking it! read more

General Manager Steward is a racist. I was accused of having a fake ID when I provided TWO forms of ID to the manager. I called back to explain my discomfort with the situation and the manager was very nasty to me and unprofessional. I was never asked at any other location for two forms of ID. I will never return to this location ever again and if I do, it might be in Stew's best interest to go on break :). read more
