Make sure you have deep pockets to be a patient here. Very nice office. Easy parking. It's an intense all day consultation back in 3/2021 when I went, with a very intense description of what I needed to completely heal me from recurrence breast cancer. They give you books to read, offer you drinks, and you feel VIP. A week later, a follow up zoom video call with Dr. John and associate and a finance person...any follow up call that needs a financial payment person is a huge red flag. LOL. I didn't have 30k for everything I needed done. I asked for a modified-what-is-absolutely-necessary procedure I need...give me an amount and they said they would get back to me. Of course, no one did. I emailed Connie a few times to follow up. They must not care to do minor work. When you're going through a cancer diagnosis, you want to heal. I was scared leaving this office and more scared after that zoom call. I pursued another bio dentist in Colorado Springs and asked Biodentist for my xrays and file. Called a couple of times to get it, no return phone call. It was $900 I spent so I didn't want to get more xrays at another dentist. After more calls and pleading with front desk lady, they sent them to my Colorado Springs dentist. Of course it was a file that you can't open. LOL. Good luck with this office. I am not a fan. I got my root canals taken out with my dentist in Colorado Springs and healing very nicely now 5/2022. read more

BioDentist removed my mercury fillings and replaced them with more biocompatible material. I hate giving bad reviews. I had a great experience here when I needed them but they don't stand behind their work. I cracked a back molar a couple years ago and not having a dentist in CO went here for a crown. Dr A wanted $950 to do a full exam then give me a crown which I believe cost $2500. I declined on the full exam because I had a dentist in another state who generally met my needs. Fast forward two years and the crown cracked. I called and asked to make an appointment to get it repaired and was told it isn't under 'warranty' in part because I skipped the full exam and they'd need to assess why it cracked. WTF. The person who answered the phone said I'd have to pay and started listing out a bunch of costs to get it replaced. They added up to about $2500 AGAIN. Crowns are supposed to last something like 15 years. Not two. I went to another dentist who told me there are several materials crowns can be made from and the materials Dr A used weren't strong enough for a back molar that is in a tight space like this. He also told me he warranties his work if I have a problem. Btw Dr Dickerson mentioned in other reviews no longer practices at Biodentist. Just in case you're looking for her she's in Littleton at the mcguinty dental group. Also. Biodentist doesn't take insurance. Plan on paying for everything out of pocket. I told the person I spoke to at Biodentist that I would be providing a bad yelp review. Sadly the only recourse I have. read more

Know before you go. Dr. John has an amazing education and understanding of the body in relation to mouth health. In a society where conventional dentists are LITERALLY making us SICK, the Bio-Dentist holds the key to fixing all of these ailments in your mouth. Really cool. This is a full mouth evaluation in relationship to your health including making the microbiome and gut integrity healthy before they will perform any kind of surgery. Also understand that this is a more expensive service and remember you get what you pay for. You will be getting the best evaluation and a TRULY holistic dental plan to bring you back to health. On my case we are working our way through tongue tie, cavitations, bite correction, airway correction and the removal of any faulty fillings. This is an entirely different dental care experience. I had three amalgam fillings (safely!) replaced and an additional filling done in one sitting. Their unique approach made me calm, comfortable and still virtually pain free after the numbing wore off. Dr. Augspurger is good at what he does and is very knowledgeable about the role the mouth plays in overall health. The whole staff is easy going, wise and kind. They...even play good music. The cost out of pocket is more, which at first can feel alarming. HOWEVER, the results reflect the cost. It feels like a wise investment in my health. read more

My experience with all dentists, until now, has been extremely negative. I accidentally found biodentist and decided to try Dr. John and pay for exam which seemed somewhat high at the time, but given they shoehorned me into a tight schedule on an emergency basis (suspected abcess) and took 2 hours for a thorough exam and 3d scans and explained to my satisfaction why and how the treatment and reversal of previous dentistry was necessary (and I am a VERY difficult person to satisfy) and made additional recommendations for enhancing my overall health before treatment started. In fact, they won't do oral surgery until certain health levels are achieved. Most of them are naturopaths in addition to the mechanics taught at dental schools and have advanced training in the latest techniques to insure the health of the entire body and how the teeth and health in general interact. Above all, they listen and try to modify treatment for what is best for the patient. The only reason I have not given the final star is I have just started treatment and yes, the cost gives me pause. But when I looked at what I paid for in the past and what they have to undo (It is a LOT of bad work to reverse and redo) and the additional work because of my extreme sensitivities and bad reactions to drugs and numbing agents and refusal to take drugs, it is not very excessive, though is difficult for seniors like myself to handle, and my stingy nature to overcome. On the plus side, I am finally achieving the health outcomes I have sought for 40 yrs, thanks to the biovital team's efforts to build me up for the oral surgery still to come. read more

This last week I had an abscessed tooth, it was extraordinarily painful, and inflamed. My cheek looked like I had eaten a pillow. I called Biodentist, and they were so kind to me, and managed to rush me in, even though they aren't an emergency dentist. Dr. Herman was incredible, he squeezed me into his already busy schedule, and spent a lot of time looking at my teeth, and provided me with options. He didn't tell me what to do, he gave me choices, and time to make a decision about what the best outcome for my mouth and entire system. He was gentle, and compassionate during the whole procedure. After he was finished removing the tooth (it just had to be done), I was feeling woozy, and shaken. They had me lay back down for awhile, and rest. There was no rushing. I didn't feel like an inconvenience. They just took care of me, and helped me through the entire process. I have never had an experience like this one. I felt like an honored guest, instead of someone who had ignored her teeth for the last year. Later that night Dr. Herman called me himself to check in on me to make sure I was okay. He gave me some tips, and let me ask even more questions. The Biodentist is the best dentist I have ever gone to, and am so glad I found them. read more

I have had the opportunity to be treated by Dr Augspurger, Dr Dickerson, and Dr Popp for the removal of several root canals, follow up treatment, and the application of the Bioclear Matrix system. They were all very knowledgeable and adept in all the natural procedures/treatments, very professional, and very kind and understanding in what involved a difficult extraction, and my many sensitivities and co-infections; always taking time to listen to me and adjust things to accommodate my limitations. All the staff were also very knowledgeable, kind, professional, and helpful. The Bioclear Matrix system enabled me to keep the structural integrity of my teeth, where I had been facing many crowns; a pleasant surprise. My experience visiting BioDentist is similar to this: Open your car window, and throw $1700 cash out of it over the course of 6-7 hours (time spent at my three visits total). I was initially thrilled to find a holistic minded dentist in the Denver area but was immediately blindsided by an initial visit cost of $895- out of pocket. They do submit this claim to insurance, but when they charge $500 for an exam alone, insurance only covered $150 of this cost (which is a perfectly reasonable charge for an exam). I was also under the impression that this initial visit would include a cleaning (it does not!). I then scheduled my cleaning (which was actually a more in depth cleaning called root scaling/planing)- to which I asked how much it would cost given the initial cost that left my bank account depleted- and they quoted $600. After completing HALF of my mouth, they charged me $900. At that point, I had to clarify why this was so much more than I was initially quoted and they realized they made an "accounting" error. Since I was this far in, I had to go ahead and finish the other half of my mouth for a total of $800 for both sides ($400 each visit). So all in all the initial exam, x-rays, cleaning and root scaling/planing totaled $1700. Go ahead and compare costs, but I guarantee this is the MOST expensive dentist I have ever visited. Be warned, ask questions and most importantly- you need to trust your healthcare providers. I had a hard time trusting when I just couldn't wrap my head around their excessive fees. read more

Dr. Dickerson and the whole team at Biodentist truly reinvent dental treatment. I needed to replace all my fillings very quickly with an upcoming surgery as the deadline. Dr. Dickerson herself -- not a hygienist, although the crew here are top notch and I'd be in good hands -- went through my mouth tooth by tooth. The scans here are crystal clear - you can see for yourself the cracks in fillings, plaque, etc. The procedure to remove my mercury fillings was amazing -- they were so considerate of my needs, clearly explained what to expect, checked in on me repeatedly, and did a very thorough job of removing the dangerous mercury. Terri (hope I'm spelling that correctly) did a great job explaining the costs and scheduling to me. When I returned to the office, the crew (Sarah, Casey, Nicole) were so friendly and warm and welcoming, it really puts you at ease.
