Westfield Nursery has been our "GO TO" place for those hard to find plants, trees and shrubs for…read moremany years. Though we now live in Silver Creek - when we decided we needed something very unique for our front Zen area - we went right back to Westfield knowing they'd be able to help. They have a very large selection of everything - from plants, trees, shrubs to pots, bird feeders and all sorts of "must haves" for everything that grows. The prices do not seem out of the ordinary, but the service IS. Today we worked with Laurie (one of the owners) as we hand selected some very different and extremely perfect trees for the Zen area. They are both from the White Pine family - one is a ball (even has a very tiny bird nest already in it) and the other is a spreading variety that is amazing - looks like a giant Bonsai tree. We also picked up a fantastic clematis plant that will be perfect next to the new arbor I just put up. Helping us get the plants into the new Jeep was a bit of a struggle, but with the plastic they supplied - we didn't get the Jeep dirty and the trees and plant all came out of the back once home without a problem. They do accept major credit cards, have plenty of parking, and they all know a tremendous amount about "Stuff That Grows". I don't think anyone would be disappointed going out to see what they have - who knows - they just might have what you were looking for. We already know where we can get our creeping Jenny - in both green and gold as well as the Japanese Lilac trees we've been searching for - next years purchases! BTW - they have Japanese Beetle traps that actually really work!

Plumbing department guys are top notch AMAZING! I'd give them 5 stars! They are so knowledgeable,…read morefriendly, and helpful. Garden people are usually helpful and friendly. Customer service desk workers are hit or miss. Some are downright rude and miserable human beings. They can be total annoyances and not give you your order you paid for online without your ID even though you literally have the email, credit card, and confirmation number signed in on your home depot account on your phone right in front of them. It's a rude power trip some like to play. The people doing the pickup area are hit or miss. Once a rude guy wheeled my order out on a big flat cart, checked my ID, and walked away for me to load my car and put the cart back so I left it taking up 2 pickup parking spots because it's not my job to do it's his. Lumber guys are good most of the time if you can actually find them. Paint people are usually okay. 99% of the time (I'm there A LOT doing DIY and gardening) it's self checkout no cash registers open. I've had good luck with buying dishwashers from them, toilets, tools, plumbing, mulch, and plants. Military discount available!

Customer service levels and staff awareness as it relates to patron needs is super undesirable…read more I should have posted this review before as I have had the same service experience over numerous encounters. I find that the all under 18 staff is consumed with talking amongst themselves rather than trying to pump out an ever growing line of patrons. Today all I needed was a gift card and a sugar drink for my son. There was only 1 person ahead of with 4 very young teenagers working the counter. They continued to talk about the extremely cute dog that was is in house rather than try to move customers through. When it was finally my turn I asked about a gift card and the underage girl without looking me in the eye rudely said that I would need to try the Lakewood shop today because they are out of them. It took another 5 min to get out of the building with my $5+ sugar drink. Having said all of that, I proceeded to head over to the Lakewood shop were I was greeted with eye contact and professionalism. In and out in about 3 minutes. Two slightly older adults working the barista area with their heads down not talking to each other. Just knocking out orders! To wrap it up I would highly encourage people to not pay good money at the foot ave location as you will only experience slow non customer service oriented teenagers more concerned with their own current events than pushing customers through. Instead use your hard earned money at the Lakewood location where service and professionalism actually matter as a business model. For the owners: I'm not looking for any handouts or comps so please don't reply to me directly- I would just ask that you deal with the problems you have at your first location (I am flabbergasted that you made enough money there to open another establishment ) It just sucks, a horrible experience for the high cost and I will never give you another dime at the Foote ave. Location.
