This is a lovely shop. It has a beautiful selection of items for gifts and art creations. The owners, who are sisters, really offer a feeling of kindness and compassion to this thoughtful little shop. It is a true hidden gem you need to check out!!! read more

History

Established in 2019.

As sisters, we've been crafting and making art together ever since we were kids. We were raised with an appreciation and love for art, design and nature, as well as a sense of environmental responsibility. In 2019 we created Art Cloth & Craft. Our grass route journey began with selling our handmade goods at festivals, the local farmer's markets and pop-ups. After a few years we moved into a shared office space with a couple fellow artists and began to do pop-ups there. After a lot of work and luck, we came across a great venue in Downtown Jamestown to expand our business. We now offer a curated collection of small batch handcrafted goods from small companies, makers & Western New York artists. In the boutique we also carry unique finds, vintage items, gifts, beauty and bath products as well as boutique clothing. We aim to source the goods they carry from environmentally conscience, socially and ethically good companies.

She got back to me within 12 hours and low and behold, I had entered the information incorrectly. After placing my order, I received an e-mail conformation, and was subsequently notified when my order had been shipped. To summarize; I placed my order on a Tuesday, and had a finished product on my doorstep that following Monday. I hope to order the same product in a different colour in the near future, and I highly recommend this this company.

I don't really shop here other than random odds and ends while I have time to kill in the area. My most recent trip here was to buy German beer mustard and a cloth folding chair for my 3yo nephew. I ended up also getting chocolate milk and paper towels because they have a large variety of things. The 5 minutes I was in the lot I was asked for change by a few people. This store is near a shelter. Jamestown, like many places, is in the grips of a heart breaking drug problem currently. This is very evident down in Brooklyn square parking lots right now. There are 3 large pharmacies, medical offices, shelters, a soup kitchen, urgent care, and the hospital all in very short walking distance of this place. Update : I had to return something I bought here the other day and the women working were wicked witches. Seriously, I have the $15 junk with it's package, tags, bag, and receipt...why is this such a hassle?

The staff here genuinely seem well-trained (please take note Target and Walmart) and are consistently pleasant to interact with. I think a guy names Juan was famous for his customer service here, although I haven't seen him the last few times, but he was top notch. While JCP might not be the most exciting store, it's reliable for what it offers, and when I am here, I find myself choosing it over the other branded stores nearby.

I find that the all under 18 staff is consumed with talking amongst themselves rather than trying to pump out an ever growing line of patrons. Today all I needed was a gift card and a sugar drink for my son. There was only 1 person ahead of with 4 very young teenagers working the counter. They continued to talk about the extremely cute dog that was is in house rather than try to move customers through. When it was finally my turn I asked about a gift card and the underage girl without looking me in the eye rudely said that I would need to try the Lakewood shop today because they are out of them. It took another 5 min to get out of the building with my $5+ sugar drink. Having said all of that, I proceeded to head over to the Lakewood shop were I was greeted with eye contact and professionalism. In and out in about 3 minutes. Two slightly older adults working the barista area with their heads down not talking to each other. Just knocking out orders! To wrap it up I would highly encourage people to not pay good money at the foot ave location as you will only experience slow non customer service oriented teenagers more concerned with their own current events than pushing customers through. Instead use your hard earned money at the Lakewood location where service and professionalism actually matter as a business model. For the owners: I'm not looking for any handouts or comps so please don't reply to me directly- I would just ask that you deal with the problems you have at your first location (I am flabbergasted that you made enough money there to open another establishment ) It just sucks, a horrible experience for the high cost and I will never give you another dime at the Foote ave. I spent way less here than I had at places much farther away. I'm so impressed at all of the awesome things I found! I can't wait to go back again!! The only criticism I have is the hours are inconvenient for some who work until 430 or 5 such as myself.
