So I was having doubts about the place and being cautious, and what a great surprise I got as soon as I arrived to my appointment, everybody is so nice and cordial, I got to see my doctor very fast and let me tell you that he is the best. Dr. Palmer is a true Doctor, very knowledgeable, very patient and most of all very caring for his patients. He is definitely one of the best doctors I have ever seen in my life. So as long as I live here in Sevierville, I'm gonna try to keep him as my doctor. Try them first before you listen to all the bad comments, I gave them a chance and I don't regret it at all, I'm actually glad that I did it.

My daughter is 4, she can be loud and a little unruly as I'm sure a lot of 4 year olds are. Instead of fussing at her, the nurses brought pages for her to color. After surgery, my daughter left her stuffed animal on the bed in the recovery room and I didn't notice til she asked for it 1/2 way home. I called the surgery center and at first it couldn't be found. The next day I got a call that her stuffed animal had been found bc the nurses and recovery room staff had looked through the soiled blankets to find it for my daughter. As a nurse of 13 years. I know firsthand how busy those staff are. I know how easily they could have said "nope, can't find it" and moved on with their day. But they didn't. It may not seem like much however it made my daughter's day when we went to pick up her stuffed chicken. I cannot thank the staff enough!!

She explained everything so well and was extremely kind. The spinal tap procedure had a small complication. The first site was too painful due to his nerve being too exposed; so Brody, the nurse practitioner, had a move to a second site. Total miss management of Federal Drug test. Costs 100s of dollars to sit waiting for a specimen to be tested that they can't ensure is his,,or they could provide a tracking number. Non professional and incompetent. Calling Dept of Professional Regulation as I type,,on hold. Technicians shouldn't be allowed licensure that aren't qualified or organized enough to provide tracking numbers. This owner threatened us with harassment for asking for correct tracking number. So I have to write an update because of our last visit. Not too happy with the "updated" staff…read moresince our last visit. Maybe it was because it was a Monday, maybe someone had a headache, heck I'll even go as far as to say that maybe the person was sitting on a tack. The attitude was uncalled for and frankly has made me look elsewhere for the care of my son. I had called to see if there was anything else I could give my son other than what I was giving him, standard OTC meds for a sinus cough etc. The receptionist that answered the phone really didn't want to talk to me. She quickly pushed me off and said that a nurse would call me back, which was expected. However, this was at 9 in the morning and by 3 that evening I still hadn't heard back from a nurse. So, we packed up and drove in to either see if I could speak to a nurse personally or see a doctor real quick. I was quickly informed by the same rude receptionist that, "Honey, we are double booked. You see all these names on here? We still have to see them. We ain't got time for him now." Note, there were only two names on the sign in sheet and it wasn't my problem that they double booked. Granted I didn't have an appointment but I didn't expect to be talked to in that fashion either. She went on to then tell me that I should have called and made an appointment, almost as if I should have known that my son would have been as sick as he was. This was on a Monday. I'm writing this review on the following Sunday and I STILL haven't heard back from the nurse yet. Did they know who I was when I called? Yep! Did they know who I was when I walked in? Nope! Absolutely NO excuse for not returning a phone even if it's to simply say, you'll need to come in.

Dr. Baxter is one of the most caring understanding doctors we have ever met. One of my children has had a lot of health issues and they were wonderful helping me figure everything out and were always there when we needed them. I would never take my children anywhere else! When you are reading these reviews keep in mind that people don't often write reviews when things are good or even great because it takes extra "effort". Effort that people are ALWAYS willing to put in when they are angry.
