We were told it would be a long wait so we waited, that's fine. We then got a text message confirmation 4 months later for an appointment in a few days, except we had never been contacted to set up an appointment. No phone calls. No texts. No emails. No snail mail. So we scrambled to shift our schedules to accommodate the appointment. Morning of, we arrive 30 minutes prior to the appointment to be told the doctor is actually out and they've been "calling" patients to reschedule and let them know. Unsurprisingly, we received no such call. So we took off work, drove 40 minutes, and paid for parking for what? Absolutely nothing. Now, I understand emergencies happen. That's fine. But a courtesy call just to say "hey maybe don't come here for absolutely no reason," would have been nice. They were able to call multiple times the day before to make sure we showed up early enough to the appointment. Would this have not been a good time to let us know not to come? And if they had just found out that morning, the first thing that should have been done was call the patients assigned to that doctor for the day. We were told we would get a call to reschedule. I seriously doubt that so what am I supposed to do, call them every day to make sure it gets rescheduled? I now have to call the morning of as well, if we ever actually get an appointment rescheduled, just to make sure that doctor is actually in. I just can't believe I have to treat a specialty medical center like a small child to ensure my husband gets care. If my husband has to have anything done, I will now feel like I have to check the work of the medical professionals we are supposed to be trusting. If they cannot handle something as simple as scheduling an appointment, how can I trust them with my husband's brain?

If it's health-related, there are probably a few people and businesses here ready to help you. My Knoxville girl has her doctors here, which is why I come here occasionally.

This 3rd visit I found the lump and called my regular doctor to refer me. I got an appointment within a few days. Mammogram technician very friendly and professional. Since I knew the lump was there, they immediately took me across the hall for an ultrasound. Afyer a short wait, a doctor came in and told me I really should get a biopsy which I scheduled. These were the positives. NEGATIVES: I didn't have insurance so cost was a major concern for me. I was easily given discounted price for mammo and ultrasound as I had to pay upfront for those. When it came to the biopsy, I was given a price assuming that covered -apx $2500. However I received a pathology bill for $3000 and a $600 for Quest Diagnostics which I never have figured out what it was for. (Tge pathology bill does after numerous calls and help from the team at Ft Sanders West gets reduced to $1000. Them I'm referred to Thompson Cancer Center for additional services. I will recommend to my regular doctor to not refer to Ft Sanders West as you get passed around to independent doctors if something comes up in a mammogram. It's difficult to get straight answers as you have to go through many channels. Though the technicians are very friendly and helpful, the overall experience is a nightmare during a particularly stressful time.

I had to cancel my test because I had no faith or trust in this facility or their staff! I felt confident they would violate HIPAA laws and that they had zero respect for their patients. I filed a complaint with Leslie's supervisor and she said it was just a big misunderstanding and that Leslie was just attempting to get my doctor's office to expedite the request. I said if you told me I was incompetent you would be last in line and certainly not first! She said did you say that?! I said NO! I love my doctor I would never speak badly about him or his staff! She said well I'm sure it was just Leslie trying to help you. The supervisor did nothing!!!!! I reached out to the director and he never returned "any" of my calls! Don't use this facility!!!

During my recent annual physical, she briefly asked me about my asthma, which I reported was stable and even improving. She then renewed my existing prescription, and we moved on. I was shocked to later receive a separate charge for an office visit based solely on that brief conversation. I am a relatively new patient and was not aware this was their billing practice. My previous doctor never charged me for this, so I will be returning to them as a patient. I also called the office for clarification, but unfortunately Dr. Abraham has not returned my call. In summary, if you have a minor medical condition that requires an annual prescription renewal, do not seek care at Rocky Hill Family Physicians.
