We took for granted the high quality care and high standards set by the management and staff. We took a short break and moved our youngest to another daycare for a month just to be closer to our house (national chain daycare in Kenmore), and it was literally night and day. The other daycare was subpar in quality and extremely short staffed, even though the tuition was comparable. We decided to move them back to Birch Tree, and drive the extra miles. What we love about Birch Tree is the management, warm and caring teachers who give lots of hugs, home cooked food, facilities, quality education, classroom camera and Bright Wheel App. Despite the locations expansion, BTA still feels locally owned and the owner Natalie and head of schools Jessica are very much involved in all of their schools. You will still see them in-person floating around the different locations. They generally know all student's names, and the local staff are always friendly and greating parents. They hold their staff to high standards and also expect the same of parents. Kids are well behaved, they wear inside vs outside shoes. Food is better than my home cooked meals, classrooms are modern with high ceilings and large windows, and all teachers have open communication with parents via the instant messaging feature. The admin staff is also on top of communication, and they have an abundance of teachers and admin staff. They also offer weekly PE, music, and Spanish classes which are all included in the price. They also offer parents night-out occasionally, and host events and weekly summer field trips for pre-k. You can do 3, 4, or 5 days a week. Speaking with staff, they enjoy working there and say that there's opportunity for them to grow and take on different roles within the school or office. Other parents we've met have moved from other daycares to go to BTA and seem very happy with BTA. They have well prepared our oldest for kindergarten and we are so thankful. None of these things we observed with the national chain daycare.

One thing to also note, and something that is completely out of the control of the teachers; there have been some issues with billing and invoicing that has been a known problem over several years. It would be recommended to monitor your payments. Over billing has been challenging and the finance team has been unable to process refunds or correct the billing cycles properly. The fours stars is solely based on the teachers. They would have five if the owner and finance team re-invested in this facility, staff, and a better finance team.

They have an amazing outdoor space where my son loved to play with trucks, roll balls down the ball ramp, and go down the slide. The indoor space has lots of experiences including water table, art, blocks, dramatic play and lots of great toys that rotate in and out each month. At BFCP my son had his first time drinking out of a cup and eating sitting in a real chair at a table! The parent ed component is kind of an educational support group, with new topics each week prepared by Teacher Jamie along with a lot of sharing of experiences and ideas. If your kid is comfortable playing on their own, you even get a break and a cup of coffee while other parents help keep an eye on the kids! We're really looking forward to being in the Toddlers class this year!

The staff here are incredible and genuinely care about each individual student. They know the families and take time to ensure that each child feels welcome, a sense of belonging, and that they are valued members of the school. All year I have felt as though the staff have wrapped their arms around our entire family, including grandparents who regularly pick up my child. Educationally, my child is well prepared for kindergarten and he has showed excitement about his learning. From weaving in daily routines that mimic that of a kindergarten classroom, teaching, foundational reading skills and math concepts, they create a learning space that is highly engaging and prepares children for elementary school. My kid was eager to share all that he was learning and proud of the work he brought home each day. Perhaps the greatest indicator of a successful preschool year was that my son regularly wanted to go to school. He showed disappointment on the weekend or when he didn't have an extended lunch buddy day. The fact that he loved school and his teachers were proof enough that this is an incredible school. This preschool has a true community feel and I couldn't be happier about the warm environment that my child spent a year in. I wish I had found this gem sooner and can't wait to have my youngest go there as soon as he is able to.

Prior to AIP I had my children in a co-op, but with more kids it was challenging to work in the classroom. My first draw to AIP with 3 kids 3 and under was that they have DRIVE THRU drop-off and pick-up, so I didn't need to get my other two kids out of the car. Now that my older 3 are in elementary I don't need this as much, but it still can be a great option (especially if I'm running 5-10 minutes late!) They have a lot of great enrichments across the year (these vary depending on what class you're in) field trips: pumpkin farm, farm, Kirkland Storybook Theater, Children's Museum, fire station, pond, as well as lots of incursions: bunnies, reptile man or lady, police officer, fire fighters, dentist and then of course mommy and muffins, daddy and donuts, Valentine, Easter, and harvest parties as well as an end-of year carnival in 4s and 5s classes. They also have a Christmas and end of year program. Note, this program only runs through May, this surprised me the first couple years, but they have offered a 2-3 week "summer camp" extention into June for those who want a longer year. My two oldest boys and my youngest will attend the 5s class which is a great option for children that need an extra year before kindergarten or are on the older end. They have a great balance of educational curriculum which addresses kindergarten readiness through zoophonics, writing their name, numbers and colors (again, based on age), daily art and lots of play (rotation of toys and sensory activities). They will meet with you in January to let you know how your student is doing, but they are very responsive if you have a concern or want to know more sooner. They either go outside or set up indoor movement play activity, this isn't an outdoor preschool so if it's a rainy day they won't necessarily go outside. They regularly post photos to their private Facebook group so you can see what's going on inside of the classroom. We love Arrowhead Inglemoor Preschool, it is has been a great fit for our family! Note: This is a preschool that runs out of Epiphany Lutheran Church and they will sing Christmas songs, and go to chapel once a month and learn a Bible story. If that is something that bothers you, this probably isn't the right preschool for you!

The Director Joanne, Assistant Director RJ, and Toddler Teachers Ms. Cami and Ms. Helen have been a God-send. They have and continuously uphold high standards, truly care about the wellbeing and education of your child, and are genuinely invested in having your family as a part of their community. It was a steep learning curve for myself, being anxious entrusting my treasure and heart to complete strangers, but through transparent communication and above and beyond efforts from the individuals above, trust and bonds were quickly built. The teachers are always focused on interacting with the children at their level and are so engaged during every moment of everyday. Both teachers put in so much time and effort, not only for the children, but also the classroom environment, so that the children truly get the best experience possible!! The consistency of attendance with the teachers are also outstanding and rare for the field!! From the very beginning, the environment has felt warm, welcoming, and supportive. The teachers and admin staff are so kind and caring, and it's clear they truly love what they do. They always take a few minutes to chat during drop-off and pick-up, which makes me feel connected and reassured about how my little one's day is going. The staff always rave about my little one and how cute and wonderful they are. Warms my heart. One of my favorite things is receiving pictures throughout the day. It's so comforting to see my little one smiling, playing, and being well cared for while I'm at work. I also really appreciate how the teachers partner with parents and share Montessori activities we can try at home. It's been so special to learn simple ways to support my child's development and continue some of the same learning and exploration outside of school. I'm so grateful for the care and attention the staff provides, and it has given me such peace of mind knowing my baby is in such good hands.
