Updating my review. I am so disheartened to be leaving a negative review of this school, but it is warranted. The teachers and directors responsible for my daughters amazing transition are no longer working at this school. It happened so fast which lets me know there were some management issues from the people at the top. I stand by the teachers and former directors of this school who ensured my daughter was seen and well looked after. My family and I have referred so many families to this school even with the high price point. Now we have made the decision to leave Primrose and go back to her former franchise and notified those families as well. If you are reading this and contemplating whether to trust this school with your children, I would say the answer should be no. The owners should do better. Be blessed! read more

We've had such a wonderful experience at Primrose. Our toddler is in the Early Preschool class and settled in quicker than we ever expected -- all thanks to the warm, caring teachers and the incredibly supportive staff. It's clear that everyone here genuinely cares about the kids and puts so much thought into their growth and well-being. Our child really enjoys the day-to-day activities -- painting, and outdoor play. We've noticed so much positive change in his confidence and comfort in a group setting. It gives us real peace of mind knowing he's in such a safe, nurturing, and thoughtfully structured environment. We're truly grateful for the love and care the Primrose team puts into everything they do. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a place that feels like an extension of home. read more

My son has been with Primrose from the start of this year. We have enjoyed our time with this organization and its curriculum. The center director Ms. Kovi, the owners Pankil and Lipi Patel at Primrose, Bothell are very dedicated and hardworking, making this day care a great place for kids. read more

My now 4 year old daughter was traumatized from going here for 2 years. There was a while there where her class had 2-3 children that were going around injuring the other kids (biting through skin, hitting, pushing, kicking, pinching), she was so scared and they did absolutely NOTHING about it. I would pick her up every day soaked through with urine, multiple injuries that I was never told about, and just a general disregard for her safety or well being. I felt like I was on constant defense there, always having to explain my child's very normal developmental stages. My final straw was when she had a week "regression" (she was 3) where she wanted to wear a pull-up, there was a medical reason for this, but the director Chantel confronted me about it unprofessionally and then I got an email announcement from her saying that they were transferring her to the 2 year old class even though she hasn't had an accident in 3-4weeks since then with no diapers at all!!! She was doing really well FINALLY until this happened. I told them absolutely not will you move my child without my permission, i spoke to the owner Pankil and he agreed they would not do anything until we had a sit down meeting. But every day I would bring her in her teachers or Chantel would tell me she was "transitioning" into the younger class, and every day I had to tell them absolutely not until we have had a meeting about it addressing their concerns. Our last day there, I went in in the morning and her cubby was missing, and they wouldn't take her so I had to go talk to Chantel (who is the worst kind of person, corrupt with power) about it with my daughter there to hear everything, it was terrible, once I had made sure that she would be in her normal classroom I left, worried and with my 3 year old asking me why her cubby wasn't there anymore... Gabby reluctantly moved her stuff back to her original spot only to loudly tell the child (who could not care less) that "IM GOING TO HAVE TO MOVE YOUR CUBBY JUST FOR TODAY", it was so crazy... my daughters feelings were so hurt. All of this only to come back to pick her up to find her missing from her class, after searching I found her in the younger class I had said no to by HERSELF with 2 other kids and a teacher!! My daughter said that her teacher, Gabby, had told her she would just be going there for a little bit then Gabby would come back to get her. Well, Gabby had dropped her over there and LEFT for the day, abandoning my 3 year old in a different classroom, the one I had been not giving my permission to move her to. I lost it, and pulled her out of there and told them I was never coming back. Good thing I had already stopped payments and enrolled her somewhere else anticipating something like that would happen and just being exhausted and traumatized by them in general. We have never been happier away from that horrible, toxic place. We should have followed everybody else in the mass exodus, when all of her friends parents went to other schools, but my daughter is a sweet girl who has never had behavior issues, has never hit or hurt anybody and pretty much always listens to her teachers, and she innocently loved that place, because it was all she knew, so I was willing to give it another chance but I wish I hadn't because it caused great distress in our family. We absolutely love Primrose. We were at a different daycare where due to concerns about short staffing and cleanliness toured multiple different big name day cares in Bothell and Kirkland area. We couldn't have found a more affordable and nurturing environment for our son. Each classroom is equiped with multiple teachers who engage the kids in daily learning activities. My son has learned so much from art, social skills, independence and more vocabulary. They focus on culturally inclusive and giving activities to teach kids about diversity and charity. The teachers are always happy, with a big smile on their face and made our son feel so loved and comfortable. For someone who started daycare after being with grandparents/parents in a home environment for 15+ months, primrose teachers did a great job making this home for him. read more

If you are looking for people that care for your child and are not just looking at dollar signs do not come here. School missed charging for credit card fees for a few months. Sent a bill for the credit card fee on Christmas Eve and asked for payment a week later. Tried to contact management via email and phone calls but never a response. Tuition was increased by 30% with 2 month notice and all this time it was impossible to receive a call back or any contact with the owners. read more

Northlake Montessori was great! New owners/new name and a new way of seeing kids as $$$ signs and not children. They have fancy entryway furniture and lights, and crappy ways of treating their families and teachers. Closing for "training" on very short notice, and changing hours on almost no notice. Used Covid for gain by barring kids from attending for up to 20 days, reducing staff hours, and charging full price to families. So glad to be gone from Primrose of Bothell. read more

It's been a great school for my little man. The teachers are unbelievable. We love them!!!

My grandson went to Primrose 1 1/2 yrs old - 3 yrs old (originally Northlake Montessori _ which was good ) New owner - bad. We had to leave Primrose due to the new owner was not going to accommodate my grandson's learning disability and not allow his employees to take the time and get him off of the school bus. ( He said "we don't have time") Or allow their transporting vans to take him to a local school where he would get his speech therapy. As much money as they charge you'd think a simple thing as this they would accommodate. He is uncaring and unaccommodating to children with special needs. (my opinion) Otherwise previous employees from Northake Montessori were great!! This happened September 2022 and important information if you have a child with needs this facility wont meet. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Primrose Bothell! My son has been very happy at this school. The teachers are very loving and make an effort to really get to know every child. The staff are professional and very responsive to any concern. The owners are present and involved. I can tell they really care. The facilities are new and well maintained. They make an effort to celebrate holidays and heritage months. This daycare is very inclusive. I am very grateful and happy my child goes to Primrose! read more

Our family absolutely loves Primrose School of Bothell. All of the staff are kind, nurturing, and patient with children. The staff has done an excellent job implementing transition and curriculum. Having music and soccer program available with small fee at center also keeps the kids engaged and excited while exposing them to valuable experiences. Keep up the good work. read more

Primrose School of Bothell used to be the wonderful Northlake Montessori. It is now under new ownership, and we strongly advise you look elsewhere for childcare. Our son attended for over a year prior to his Bone Marrow transplant (Northlake M. at the time) and then returned post-transplant in September 2021. Despite the high and concerning turnover rate of teachers & families after the new owner took over, we stayed because we needed their van transportation to and from the local school district's early childhood center so my son could receive services. In September 2022, it was suggested my son transition from preschool to the Pre-K classroom. I emailed the acting director (who has since left) if she felt he should stay in preschool so he could receive more support. She responded that he should stay. A few days later, my son was moved up to the Pre-K classroom without any communication from Primrose regarding the move, without any transitional/trial periods for my son, and against the recommendation of the director. When my son started having seizures this past November, I was supposed to meet with the new director and Director of Student Affairs to discuss rescue medication and instead was blind sided as they shared numerous issues they had with caring for my son (concerns that had not been mentioned in the year & 4 months prior) & stated how they can't care for him without support. They then requested that I ask the local school district to provide a 1 to 1 para educator. I was stunned. He did not qualify for that service because he does not currently need it. When I told the director a week later that the school district couldn't provide a para educator, she called me into an impromptu meeting in the middle of pick up to tell me that without a para educator, Primrose could not give my son what he needs; they could not care for him. I reminded the owner (who joined us) and director that my son is on anti-seizure meds and he just needs their van through June (at this point, they picked him up once mid-day, 4 days a week, from his other pre-school which was only 5 minutes & 1.7 miles away. They had 3 vans parked in their parking lot at this time). After that meeting, the owner and director tried to pull my husband into 2 more impromptu meetings as he picked up our kids that week. My husband calmly reminded them that they could schedule a conference. In the meantime, I got a call from them about a minor health issue with my son, to which I asked a disapproving question and they used that to say my mistrust of them was the problem when we finally met! We were appalled. They did not use this scheduled meeting to discuss our son, instead it was used to seemingly spin the narrative in their favor. We made sure to point out that they were not following the guidelines in their handbook detailing the Americans with Disabilities Act and their non-discrimination policy in regards to our son. By the end of the meeting, the owner suspended use of the van to my son's other preschool effective 1 week later! Having our son treated in this manner and suspending the van with one week's notice, caused incredible stress and inconvenience for our family. We were stuck finding childcare for an 18 month old and a 4 1/2 year old in a pinch. Aside from the caring, great teachers our kids had, we are relieved and grateful they no longer attend this school. In my opinion, the owner is not supportive of kids with disabilities and the director seems complicit in it. There are other reviews of Primrose School of Bothell, and of the Evergreen Primrose in San Jose, California, where this owner is also a co-owner, that mention previous instances of similar discrimination of kids with special needs or disabilities. read more

After touring Primrose at eight months pregnant, I knew it was the right choice for our family. This was our first child, so we did extensive research and price evaluations from Bothell to Bellevue and beyond to find the right fit and the right cost. I will admit that the price has increased from the time we first toured the school and then we waited a year for an opening. It has been about two months since my son started. My heart is full by the way his teachers and staff have learned in to support him and us as parents. Paula, his teacher, is not only kind, but she is also super engaging and attentive to the children in the room. I appreciate the time she takes at every pickup to provide updates. We are so thankful for her. Kovi the director is quick to respond as well which is an added plus. The rest of the team I engage with in the mornings, from the front desk to Aurelia, morning drop-off teacher, have been also really incredible. I am sure I am missing some names. The transition and teacher engagement have been great, and we are glad we chose and waited for Primrose. read more
