I don't know if everybody could say they had a "great experience" after losing ALL of their car keys...but we did. We got in touch with Mike the day before Thanksgiving, and he quoted us a very good price. He came onto Fort Leavenworth with no problems (some of the companies I called required escort, but Mike had a drive-on pass), and went to work on our car. The job was not an easy one, and we ended up taking our other car out of town. In a demonstration of perseverance worthy of admiration, Mike came back on the Sunday of the Turkey Day holiday weekend, and finished the job. Despite all of the tribulations, he still charged me the more-than-reasonable original price (waaaaay less than I would have to shell out at the stealership), and couldn't have been more pleasant to work with. Very impressed with this company, and this person in particular. They have a new customer. I'm hoping we keep better tabs on our keys this time, but if we lose them again...I probably won't also lose another 5 days looking for them like I did this time. Jakin read more

Mr. Biringer welcomed us to the neighborhood years ago by complementary fixing our front door mortise lock. All of our lock cores were soon standardized into one key through his shop and that is the only place we go for keys. Do not used the cheapo machines in the "mart". Get it done right, at Biringers! read more

Went to them for some engraving work. Not only did they not engrave the items as they were expected, they repeatedly gave excuses and couldn't accept responsibility. Despite being given a diagram and an in depth explanation on the expectations they still fouled the job. I wound never recommend them to engrave anything. read more

I was looking for a local business to engrave some of my daughter's track medals, when I saw the one star review posted 5/15/2015 that, truthfully, seemed very unfair since the customer's expectations appeared unreasonable. I like to support local businesses. In my experience, when someone (and only one) completely slams a business to that degree, it is often more about the customer than the business, and it makes me want to give the business the benefit of the doubt. That is definitely the case in this situation, in my opinion. I (and my daughter) were completely happy with the engraving job they did on all three medals- two were strange arrowhead shapes, definitely a challenge- the engraving on all three was perfect- a very professional job. To their credit, when I mentioned that I had seen the very negative review, their response was even more professional. Definitely recommend. read more

Mike, you are correct when you said that your feedback was long overdue and with your post I am updating my rating simply based on your feedback. I will advise customers that the selection of an engraver for items that cannot be replaced should be researched carefully, as in most cases a business has only one shot to get it correct. Do your homework, ask questions, and listen to the responses given. If an employee sounds as though they do not understand what you are requesting, ask the question again. There are times when an attempt is made to do the engraving and it is just not possible or will be extremely difficult, and that should be relayed to the customer. As Mike stated, there were options given to me such as the plate on the back that was added to 2 of the medals, but the metal color did not match and was easily identified as a coverup. In the end, no matter the situation that caused the errors in the business, the $40.00 price was of little consequence as the medals were something that my child worked very hard for, both at practice and outside of practice, and something that she was very proud of. Due to this, countless hours were spent contacting the schools and companies that created the medals in order to replace the ones that were ruined. Please do not put yourself in a position where you question a business that has only one shot at getting things right....ever. If you are not comfortable, then try another location. In fairness I have heard from others that this business has completed quality engraving work, it is just unfortunate that this was not the case with my items. Additionally, I understand that the locksmith jobs that they do are quite exceptional. In the end, I appreciate the response that Mike wrote and do feel that this was long overdue on both the part of the business and on the part of the customer. read more

Sadly very disappointing. Paige is not very responsive time wise and she messed up our order in design and when putting on our item. I'm not worried about mistakes, they happen. However the way she handled it was very disappointing. She did not warn us that there was a mistake before coming in, she did not point it out to us while we looked at it and when we mentioned it, she got very defensive and blamed us for the design we picked that she agreed she could do. She was unwilling to do anything to try fixing it, just kept stating "I can't" very emotionally. She did very reluctantly end up not charging us for that design but did not offer to buy another $10 cup for us and try again. She also showed her true colors and she thought we would be moving and it wouldn't be a concern of hers to send us out of state with a crappy product she was hoping we wouldn't see. Two of our other products had mistakes as well that were hidden enough we didn't mind, but this one was pretty ugly. The other two red flags was she lied to my face as I very clearly pointed out the font she mistakenly used that her and I went over twice before she started. She claimed she couldn't find a standard "new times roman" font and put the exact font on the item that I asked her not to. It was clearly a mistake but she lied to me instead of apologizing. She also made it sound like her mistake was b/c she tried to finish them in a timeframe I asked her too. For the record, I spoke with her over two month prior and told her no rush, had no idea that meant she would never call. On the third encounter (after another employee said it was a two day job) she made it sound like a week would be a huge favor, to which I said its okay if its a little longer than a week. So there was no true rush. Just a crappy product and a bunch of excuses. I consider this person unprofessional and I will not go back. Be warned Military. Maybe some of the other people are better. Do not use Paige though! read more
