She kept in good contact with me throughout my pregnancy, giving my inspiration, hope, and positivity weekly. She answered any questions I had and provided support when I needed it. My labor was over 36 hours and she was there every minute by my side and ready to help in any way possible. She was amazing with my family and I love that she was able to direct others in a way to positively influence and help me divert my attention away from the pain of labor. She helped calm my nerves and encouraged me when I thought I couldn't handle the pain anymore. There really is nothing I can say that isn't short of wonderful about her. Kristin was my doula with my second child and I wish I had her by my side for my first. I was attempting a VBAC with my second and was also 9 days late. Kristin was a huge support to me those last few weeks leading to my birth - she assisted me emotionally and mentally, more than she'll ever know. She was always available via text or phone to encourage me, give me positive affirmations, and provide new exercises for me to do at home to help me mentally and physically. Her in person meetings which showcased even more exercises my husband and I could utilize, was so helpful. We utilized everything she taught us when I finally went into labor at home. When we were admitted to the hospital, having her by our side, even if it was a short time, was so encouraging and supportive, it made a world of difference. I ended up having another c section but Kristin continued her support days after my surgery and once we were home as well. I was referred to Kristin for encapsulation by our Doula and Bradley method instructor. I highly recommend encapsulation and Kristin to anyone interested! Kristin was awesome about getting me all the information I needed to know about the process, dosage and specific procedures for the hospital I was giving birth at. I chose to do the smoothie prep and pills. We literally got everything the day after birth. I was a bit nervous about the smoothie prep but Kristin's method made it so super easy. Kristin was absolutely amazing as our birth doula. We had a home birth and it was so peaceful and comforting to have her with us. She came over when we felt we needed some extra support and was present with me through every surge - guiding my breath, applying gentle massage, encouraging me, and reminding me that our baby was getting closer with every moment. She was such a calm presence and made my husband and I feel relaxed and at ease through every phase of labor. She even captured beautiful pictures of the process and us becoming a family. I also decided to do placenta encapsulation and Kristin prepared everything so beautifully, including a five day smoothie preparation that helped with postpartum healing. We highly recommend Kristin as a doula. We were referred to Kristin by our instructor for a birthing course we took last year. When speaking to her over the phone, you can tell she really has a passion for what she does and is someone who is genuine and supportive. She is patient, nonjudgmental and respectful of whatever birth plan you may have. She has such a calm and nurturing presence, something we really needed during the birth of our daughter. Kristin was a complete god-sent! She started working with our family as a postpartum doula when our exclusively breastfed baby was only 6 weeks old and refusing the bottle . The first day we met her, our fussy crying baby fell asleep in her arms. Her positive attitude and calm energy brought our anxiety level down to a zero! She gave us so many tips and tricks to help our little angel feed from a bottle. We absolutely recommend working with Kristin as a doula. We were able to have an initial meeting with Kristin where she answered our questions and explained what her role would be if we went forward with her as our doula. After deciding on Kristin as our doula, she provided wonderful support to me throughout the pregnancy. She checked in often, was available for questions, and was always excited to hear the updates from our OB appointments. We had the opportunity to meet with Kristin two more times in the pregnancy to go over our intentions for the delivery as well as to review and practice laboring positions. Kristin really brought a lot of positivity and peace to our labor and delivery preparation. I ended up having an extended laboring process (over a week), and Kristin was so encouraging throughout that time. Throughout the week she was always available to answer questions, bounce ideas off of, and even helped us work on a few things to help baby's positioning. Her presence and availability were so so appreciated during this time. When we finally made it to the hospital for our delivery, she was such a fantastic resource to help us work through decisions that needed to be made and to help us maintain the birth experience that we were hoping for. Kristin was a great addition to our birth team, and really complemented the role that my husband played as my primary birth partner. She helped us see all of the options that we had during labor. This review is way over due. I had my baby at the end of February thankfully before COVID-19 got bad so I was able to have Kristin in the birthing room with me at the hospital. If you chose Kristin as your doula you with be beyond grateful you had her on your birth team. She is amazing. Before hiring her we met in person and felt so comfortable with her instantly. She is a very warm and welcoming person. My boyfriend and I met with her twice before giving birth. I found our meetings very helpful because it gave us an opportunity to get to know each other and go over how we planned our birth experience to go. She was great and is very supportive of what ever you plan to do. When the day came we were and constant communication with each other and once I needed her she was at the hospital right away. She helped me stay calm even though things got intense. Kristin was very helpful when I needed to make decisions. My birth didn't go anything as planned. She was great every step of the way. I am so grateful to have her support. After I gave birth she checked in on me at the hospital and at home a couple times when I first got back home. She introduced me to a great lactation consultant. A week after giving birth we were in lockdown so she wasn't able to do an at home visit after birth but we still were able to connect on video. If you are on the fence about getting a doula let me tell you it's worth it and Kristin would be a great person to have on your team. read more
