Whatever "service" this company provides is completely useless. Cristina was helpful in answering the questions I had over email and confirmed my group was all set with a reservation at Monarch but by the time I got to the venue, my name was nowhere to be found on the list and nobody working there had any clue who Birthday Bottle Service was. I ended up starting from scratch and waited 15 minutes in the lobby with my group before being shown to a table. I was also told by Birthday Bottle Service that tables at Monarch had a 2 bottle, $700 minimum commitment. Guess what? That was also a lie. We just opened a tab with our server, charged all the drinks to the table and spent $250 for the whole night. In short, if you want to reserve a table/bottle service, go direct to the venue - BBS offers no value. read more

Christina stopped responding to my emails so I called them directly and had Lior book Monarch for my birthday. I got confirmation and I hoped everything is set. All I gotta do is show up with my friends and have a good time. The day of my party, went to Monarch and guess what? They had no resvartion under my name. I called Lior, and explained the situation. I contacted them and Christina responded within minutes. I was able to choose my venue from an extensive list. We chose Gansevoort. As the guest list grew, we asked Christina for 2 tables next to each other at the Gansevoort. Both had the buy 1 + get 1 free bottle special. Christina and Abe confirmed our party the day of and even provided us with a Customer Service number - God forbid anything went wrong the night of the party. Luckily we did not need to use it! We arrived in the VIP line and was seated right away. In fact they moved a party, cleaned up the tables, so they could accommodate us all with 2 adjoining tables within minutes. 4 bottles came out right away and our waitress was great and helpful when we requested different mixers. This was a very bad experience. I requested a 4 bottle service at Slate NYC for 9pm and when I arrived at 9:30 pm I was told there was a private party happening so I had to wait 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I was told I had to wait another 30 minutes and was told they didn't know I had requested a reservation for 9pm. They gave me 1 drink ticket per person of my party. So after that other half an hour I'm told to wait yet ANOTHER 30 minutes for them to get the table ready and the lady at the desk looked fed up I was even asking about it again. I waited with all my guests a total of 1.5 hours to just get the table. Then I had to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes for the bottles to show up. My guests and I spent a total of 2 HOURS waiting at the location to get these bottles. They tried making up for giving me a "free birthday sign" but honestly that didn't help make me feel better at all. Just used BBS for my Bachelorette Weekend in NYC! Thanks to Abe and his connects we had a fabulous time. I contacted Abe for the first time about two weeks ago and his correspondence was consistent and prompt. He provided options based on our preferences and even took time to explain why he would recommend one place over another. All of his suggestions were spot on, and made a completely difference in our overall experience. When we arrived at the Taj II, for some reason our name was not on every list that was printed out by the venue. I called Abe immediately, he answered immediately and I received a text from someone local I assume, to let me know they would sort out the issue immediately-- and so it was. Taj II had a super bizaar entry situation going on, which had nothing to do with BBS. I think it's definitely something to consider and tell potential patrons about in advance, so they don't freak out like I almost did. We were from out of town, where bottle service gets immediate entry and priority, and we were made to stand in line for 20 minutes while everything was sorted out. Also at this particular venue,far too many hands in the pot, so not everyone knew what was going on at in regards to anything. Since this was our first time going through a service, we all panicked thinking something went wrong, or that BBS wasnt legit-- luckily everything was quickly resolved! The only issue was that our group was 12 and BBS has no control over table size or seating. But our hostess was nice enough to not book anyone next to us for the entire night, so we had more than enough room--which we didnt use because we spent the night dancing! Also, upon entry we had to talk to a manager in order to be seated since the bouncer said we didn't have a reservation. I really had a terrific time planning my 24th birthday party with Abe! He was fast, and friendly via e-mail, and made sure to address all of my concerns. He even put up with my litany of questions about the venue (SlateNY) and about how everything was going to be set up. I ended up having a great night. He'll really take care of you! The only suggestion I would make is for him to add communication or correspondence and with the actual venue as part of the confirmation process. When I arrived, Slate did not have all of the details about my party, but the problem was quickly solved. I've seen the "Birthday Bottle Service" adds and their FB for a while and always wondered how they do it..... So, when planning on of my BFF's birthday this year, I was slightly apprehensive. But I needed help. Its winter. Its cold. I needed to make sure the party had something to bring out the masses. Booze is generally a no brainer in that department. So I bit the bullet and contacted BBS. To my surprise, my email was answered within moments. Cristina contacted me to let me know that I had a nice long list of places to choose from for the 31 Jan Friday night birthday celebration. I confirmed with her that the bottle and entry were truly free. (As expected we would need to pay tip and tax on the bottle). My list kept changing, one day it was 8 people the next I had close to 30. Cristina did not flinch, and said not to worry all she needed was my information and that whoever wanted to come can just say my name at the door. This is SO much easier than providing a list of names! After a quick review of the official list of available venues, and a lot of back and fourth- I decided to pick Aspen Social Club. The location is perfect, and I had never been. It was a hard decision, because all the venue's I saw listed were fabulous! But, I made the right choice. Our hotel was only 3 blocks away and it was in the middle of super bowl weekend so that just added to the party! Even though Aspen is right there at Times Square, it was not overly crowded and the staff were super attentive! Come the day of the party Cristina had emailed me to re-confirm our party- which was great, it set my mind at ease with our reservations. I had read some Yelp reviews about people having issues at the door- and working in the nightlife industry I am aware that sometimes even the best laid plans can get "lost" with the doorman. Well, not here. The woman at the door seemed sincerely happy to see us and willing to do anything to make sure we were happy. Our server was sweet as can be and not one person seemed to mind that my 30 person list was now only 8 people. (I know they must have hoped for more...so that we would buy some additional drinks! And I felt horrible that I couldn't provide that!) Once seated, we had been there all of 5 minutes and out came our beautiful server with a HUGE bottle of vodka and a pretty sparkler that single handedly made the birthday girls night! I never had to call Cristina, because everything went so well. However, had I needed to she provided me with additional emails and phone numbers- so I truly think I would have been fine either way. Everything was professional, courteous and well planned. To say im impressed is an understatement. Ive been bragging to everyone from the owner of my PR agency to my coworkers to my best friends. I plan on using Birthday Bottle Service again- and often! I work in the nightlife industry, and throw parties on a very regular basis. I know this stuff is not always easy- and often things don't go as planned. But the way our night went this weekend, youd have no idea! I got an email the day off with contact info in case I had any issues, which i thankfully didn't have to use. Was a birthday party for 25 people at gansevoort park, got a 1000 minimum spend with 1 comp for the red room. My guests had no issues getting in, although I did 'tip' extremely well to ensure this. I definitely thought their offerings were too good to be true, but as I was desperately trying to plan a last-minute birthday party, I decided to give them a shot. I used this service 2 years ago for my 23rd birthday party that I had at the Gansevoort. It was an amazing time which was 5/5. So for my 25th birthday I decided to use this service again. I booked for the Sky Room with bottle service. I emailed the service to book with just one bottle instead of the buy 2 get 3. Cristina responded promptly and said that it was okay to make my reservation with one bottle. So my reservation was confirmed with one bottle and approximately 10 guests. I got to the venue at 11 with 8 people in my party and the promoter and the door said that I needed to get another bottle. Although I explained to him that I had reserved one, he said that it's 1 bottle/ 4 people or everyone had to pay a $20 cover charge. So I got another bottle and asked if we would get another bottle since it's buy 2 get 1 free. He said no its has to be arranged ahead of time. I contacted Cristina and she said to ask for marsha or max which I did and I was able to get the 3rd bottle free. It was just an inconvenience because I didn't tell the people in my party and I ended up paying for the 2 bottles when I confirmed with just one bottle for that amount of people. The customer service with BBS was great and everything was as billed. We did the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal at The DL for our friend's bachelor party and the process was seamless. We worked with Cristina from BBS, who was prompt and comprehensive in her responses to my many questions regarding logistics, payment, etc. The DL itself has gotten a slightly more "meatpacking-y" crowd than before, which has its positives and negatives. So take that for what it's worth. But in general I would definitely recommend the DL (Isabella was a great server) and especially BBS to help organize your next big event with your friends. read more

Given their awesome reviews and the free bottle deal, I decided to go through birthdaybottleservice to book my party at XVI lounge for about 30 people but it was a disaster from the beginning. I get to the place with couple of my friends and the people at the door have no idea about my reservation. So now I'm outside frantically calling the customer service contact, forwarding emails, and etc to sort this out. Meanwhile, my friends are just gathering outside standing around... embarrassing. I get a call back from the customer service lady but I'm told we can't go up for another 30 mins. I tell her that I can't have my friends wait that long and eventually she sorted it out and we got in. We get in and the lounge staff is scrambling to set us up with a table and they decide to give us a tiny section which can sit at best 3-4 people... unreal. This is when I give up going back and forth with birthdaybottleservice, take matters into my own hands, and talk to the manager at the place. We were eventually able to work it out, get a nice roomy section in the outdoor area, and salvage the night. The free bottle was cool I guess... which by the way is not from the bottle menu. It's just some cheap house bottle which no one has heard of. I ended up ordering enough bottles to get a free champagne from the place so yea... don't get too excited about that buy one get one bottle free deal. For what it's worth, staff at birthdaybottleservice seemed nice and friendly. They were responsive and helpful when I had any questions. The problem was that they just couldn't get the job done. I wouldn't recommend going through them.... risk is too high and the reward is not that great. If you have a place you want to go to, call them up yourself and plan it yourself. I worked with Cristina to find a venue for a triple birthday party on Saturday night, Sept 21. I gave her a list of requests - downtown Manhattan, comp table and bottle if possible, enough space and no drama at the door for 30-40 people, and good music - and she delivered with a great list of venues. We ended up settling on Ms Yoo in the Lower East Side. The music was fantastic (mix of top 40/hiphop/edm) and we had a huge table right at the front. They even sent us a bottle with sparklers. My guests had an amazing time. Good service at the bar. We were there from about 11pm-2am. Cristina was very professional and a great communicator who confirmed everything for us before the big day. I got to know about this service thru Facebook I believe, not sure. Nonetheless, I have been a big fan of this unique service and their organization. Everyone is amazingly responsive and planning yours or your friend's birthday becomes "piece of cake" with them. My first experience wasn't 5 star worthy as the Gansevoort where I had planned my friend's birthday - we were promised one free bottle if we buy one. We happily bought 2 and still got charged for 3rd ! It's perhaps Gansevoort Park that was the issue, but outside of that blip, Birthday Bottle service has been amazing. Recently I requested them to help with another venue for my birthday, where right from booking VIP table and guest along with complimentary Champagne was super smooth.
