This place stinks…read more We took our 1 year old Bernadoodle here in the morning for a haircut. They checked him over during drop off when we went in and I told them I'd pick him up between 4-4:30. They said he would need a shave since he had several knots in his hair. I wasn't happy about that but understood as sometimes we are not great about brushing him. Every time I have gone in here (and our previous dog) they always give me a hard time, rude, and shame me saying he needs to be trimmed every 6-8 weeks (my wife doesn't even get her hair done that often!) I understand that some families due that but with haircuts over $100 a pop I find that to be excessive. After dropping him off about 20 minutes later I get a call stating that we can't cut him and needs sedated by a vet to cut his hair with a special tool. She also stated that I needed to pick him up within the hour. I then had to leave work and when I picked him up he was half shaven and can be seen in the photos. So not only would they not keep him for the day and cause me to miss work, they left the job unfinished. I then took him to Pet Smart and they trimmed him up no problem! See photo! The girl was very nice and called me two times to give me updates! I will not be supporting this local business in the future.

I used their self wash service today for my dog. Each station was spacious and gated which made me…read morefeel secure if it were ever busy. It's set up like a coin laundromat where you can post for coins up front which equates to 5$ per coin. That coin will give you 7 minutes at their station to use their washing or drying facilities. The coin slot gives you the option to rinse, shampoo, conditioner, dry, flea and tic treatment, disinfect the wash station or turn it off. You cannot pause the timer. I was able to wash and mostly dry my dog in 14 minutes (she didn't like the dryer but it was powerful). My only tip would be to bring your own towels as they charge 1$ per towel. A great suggestion would be to have coat hangers and baskets in the wash station to put your purse in as you wash your pet. I had to swing my coat over divider and place my purse on the floor. They do offer other grooming services such as nail trim and anal glands at around 10$ at the time of this review.

I was hit by sticker shock at the price for a shave down, but my baby had terrible matts because she's been traumatized by multiple moves in past 3 months and had stopped grooming. Her skin is in perfect condition despite how tightly matted to the skin her fur was, so I accept the moderately high price for a job well done. Misjka feels so much better now and is back to loving being vigorously pet, which she started to dislike due to the discomfort from the matts. Plum Street Pet Clinic strongly recommended Kayla's, and they are a 5-star reviewed veterinarian that caters mostly to cats so I felt she was in good hands. Our fur babies are so important to us, so we need to be sure they are being well cared for when we entrust them to a care giver. When picking up, I saw a white dog being groomed. She's the only one who can fix a choppy cut and does not do that to our little Shih Tzu. The other places were just ok, Dogs best friend is awesome! She is very reasonable and does a much better job than the other places. She also uses really really nice organic (or special? Don't remember..) shampoo that doesn't make Georgie itch. We had shampoo from the vet and it seems to make him itchy. It's just $35 for his full bath, haircut, nail trim and file, full dry and style. And he always gets a little tie which is a sweet touch. Georgie is a bit dramatic and always poops in her dryer, but she never gets upset and he didn't even bark this time, so I think he's trying to tell me it's the best place... you know, if he could talk! If you have a pup that needs grooming, this is the best place! Nail cut and file always included. It's unassuming outside, but lots of love for your pup inside!
