Parking is always a concern downtown. The Pearl provides free parking in the large lot west of the facility. There are several other parking garages in the area if you prefer. The team was very welcoming and glad to have us as their guests. Booking a reservation was easy on line. On this occasion we went to a free program. They seem to have a free program about every three months for those looking for things to do on a budget. The performance area seats about 400-500 people in padded chairs. The chairs are all on the same flat level. The stage is nicely elevated so viewing isn't a problem. I found the chairs to be thin on padding and somewhat uncomfortable for a 90 minute performance. The lighting is well done. The acoustics are superb as well.

I will see the Pearl Street Arts Center is beautiful. I laughed and loved that they called their box office, the bach's office. I also read about them before I came in and how they have art and entrepreneurial classes. Since the civic theatre has been out of commission due to renovations I know that the ballet company has been doing shows in different venues. I do not feel comfortable leaving a bad review for the ballet on Pearl Street Arts Center since I do not think they are responsible, so will be doing a separate review of the ballet. I will say, that the little time I spent inside Pearl Street Arts Center, I was captivated by the beauty within it.

And let's face it, flowers are expensive and you want to get what you pay for, right?? Additionally, I made an after-hours purchase (online) and the flowers were delivered just after noon the next day. It really couldn't have been a better experience both with convenience and product. Private parking lot, clean grounds, well maintained plants, great and helpful staff, easily to identify plants how where to plant them ie: full sun etc. A couple of drawbacks. Going on the weekends guarantees that they'll be busy meaning hard to find parking spot, hard to locate a cart, isles that are full and people stopping at every row to grab plants so expect backups. But what you'll gain by going on the weekends is so much more. We go every Mother's Day to start the planting season off and it's always packed. You learn patience real quick. But I find it relaxing to gaze at the pretty flowers and find new plants. This year I saw a Tabasco jalapeno and a pineapple tomato. Those had to go in the cart! The business was closed when I called to express my dissatisfaction. The attached card states a 24 hour guarantee. I emailed Broadview and the response was the guarantee was only for their customers And since my son went through Ava Florists, it didn't apply because Broadview has the right to substitute. They have taken advantage of out of area customers and filled the order to unload cheap plants on special occasions. Suffice it to say I will never be one of their customers and advise shoppers to be wary of this business and their guarantee.
