Further the restaurant is situated in the center of Kerteminde just next to the harbour and if you come by ship you can get served on your own ship. If you have to buy a ship the overall experience might be overpriced!

I had telephoned earlier during the day, but they didn't answer their phone. Service was acceptable, though our young server was visibly put out by our interest to only order wine initially and enjoy a glass before ordering our meal. So, we accommodated her, and ordered everything at once. However, she misunderstood our order, and brought out our starter salad with our main dishes. Since the fish dish was hot, we ate the main right away, and had the server take the salad back to eat afterwards.... Not a big deal, and good of the young girl to come over and apologize. The food was very good, and like most Danish restaurants, heavy on the potatoes. Our fish was Haddock, 240 Dkr, baked in a butter broth, with assorted vegetables, including carrots and fennel. The salad, only 50 Dkr, was large enough to share. Our dessert was a chocolate fondant, 100 Dkr. Two Half bottles of wine were 270 Dkr each, for a total of 1166 Dkr. A most enjoyable dinner.

The staff was friendly and attentive. We got to try the all the oysters and many appertizers, along with one dessert. Everything was thoughtfully crafted with deep knowledge for ingredients, appreciation for flavors, and an eye for creativity. The mussels dish stood out as the most memorable experience. The seaweed butter just tasted like butter. The tomato salad was average, it was a little too creamy for my liking. The languste was horrible. I was assured it would taste similar to lobster, it in fact did not. It had a rather funny taste to it, that I wouldn't describe as good. It was meant for two and neither of us found it appealing. It was 1800 DKK, about $275, we shouldn't have ordered it. The establishment is extremely busy, they seem understaffed. Their staff are running this way and that way and it's difficult to get someone's attention. Ambiance is alright. I think if it was a little less busy then it would be nice but the sheer volume of people subtracts from the vibe. Overall do not recommend and I wouldn't come back. Very overrated.

All pieces weee dusted with paprika and came with a side of lemon mayo for dipping. Squid had a good chew to it and a good start off to our dinner. Mussels came in a huge pot, the largest serving to date. We ended up filling two bowls with shells. The wine broth was quite delicious and the bread was perfect for dipping and soaking up that goodness. The whole seabass was another well done dish covered in greens and easy to debone. However, once you leave the ordering area you realize how cool the area is. The bar overlooks a dock that people have surrounded around in various swim gear. If you plan ahead well enough you can easily go swimming and have a lovely glass of wine. If not, like us, then sit by the dock and enjoy the weather while drinking your glass of wine. We didn't venture into any of the food but really cannot emphasize how much we wished we could lounge further from a swimming standpoint! A lovely stopping point especially if you're on the way to Copenhill.

For around $15, I ordered a cocktail in a can, pumpkin soup and a bowl of bread with olive oil. The bread was the best I has all trip and the soup was the best I've had ever! Service was fast, efficient and the price was much more affordable compared to many restaurants in Copenhagen. Although there's no wifi, this is still a must-experience.

Flower stands with freshly cut flowers and an abundance of vegetable crates colored the exterior of the building's grounds. The enclosed building is made from beautiful glass and metal, with the inside feeling open and airy, making it feel a bit like a greenhouse with its natural lighting. We found an assortment of shops offering meats, condiments, pastries, baked goods, coffee, fresh seafood, pastas, prepared salads, sushi, lunch spots, cured meats, nuts, beer, wine, fresh herbs, sandwiches, caviar, ice cream, cheeses, housewares and gift items; quite the assortment here! The only thing that was difficult to find were non-food gifts for our friends that were actually made in Denmark. Most were manufactured overseas. We stopped and had a wonderful lunch at the very popular Hallernes Smørrebrød, seated at their bar. This market is definitely worth a visit.
