The staff is excellent and provides good suggestions in wine and helps to provide a great atmosphere. This is not a cheap place to eat but compared to other restaurants in Denmark in the same league you get good value for money. Further the restaurant is situated in the center of Kerteminde just next to the harbour and if you come by ship you can get served on your own ship. If you have to buy a ship the overall experience might be overpriced!

Though we didn't have reservations, we were able to be seated within 5 minutes, in what appeared to be a busy restaurant for a midweek dinner. I had telephoned earlier during the day, but they didn't answer their phone. Service was acceptable, though our young server was visibly put out by our interest to only order wine initially and enjoy a glass before ordering our meal. So, we accommodated her, and ordered everything at once. However, she misunderstood our order, and brought out our starter salad with our main dishes. Since the fish dish was hot, we ate the main right away, and had the server take the salad back to eat afterwards.... Not a big deal, and good of the young girl to come over and apologize. The food was very good, and like most Danish restaurants, heavy on the potatoes. Our fish was Haddock, 240 Dkr, baked in a butter broth, with assorted vegetables, including carrots and fennel. The salad, only 50 Dkr, was large enough to share. Our dessert was a chocolate fondant, 100 Dkr. Two Half bottles of wine were 270 Dkr each, for a total of 1166 Dkr. A most enjoyable dinner.

The staff was friendly and attentive. We got to try the all the oysters and many appertizers, along with one dessert. Everything was thoughtfully crafted with deep knowledge for ingredients, appreciation for flavors, and an eye for creativity. The mussels dish stood out as the most memorable experience. Honestly, the entire experience here was one of the greatest highlights of our trip. We look forward to coming back someday!

All pieces weee dusted with paprika and came with a side of lemon mayo for dipping. Squid had a good chew to it and a good start off to our dinner. Mussels came in a huge pot, the largest serving to date. We ended up filling two bowls with shells. The wine broth was quite delicious and the bread was perfect for dipping and soaking up that goodness. The whole seabass was another well done dish covered in greens and easy to debone. The fish was light and tender. Service was attentive. A bread service per person was added to the check. Tiny restrooms were located next to the check in desk. The restaurant was quite busy by the time we left. We finished in less than the 2 hour time allotment noted in our reservation. Would revisit should we have the opportunity to return to Copenhagen.

We asked for their wine varietals and they essentially were re-filling most wines so we were told they had 1 white and 1 red-we ordered one of each. The wines themselves were very fine. However, once you leave the ordering area you realize how cool the area is. The bar overlooks a dock that people have surrounded around in various swim gear. If you plan ahead well enough you can easily go swimming and have a lovely glass of wine. If not, like us, then sit by the dock and enjoy the weather while drinking your glass of wine. We didn't venture into any of the food but really cannot emphasize how much we wished we could lounge further from a swimming standpoint! A lovely stopping point especially if you're on the way to Copenhill.

While exploring the industrial part of the city, I stumbled upon this tiny cafe along the water with a sauna attached to it. Wow, I'm glad I did! The cafe is no-frills, but leads down to a dock where you can enjoy your food, making for lunch with a view. Inside the cafe, you can order cocktails in a can, pastries and lunch from a small menu. For around $15, I ordered a cocktail in a can, pumpkin soup and a bowl of bread with olive oil. The bread was the best I has all trip and the soup was the best I've had ever! Service was fast, efficient and the price was much more affordable compared to many restaurants in Copenhagen. Although there's no wifi, this is still a must-experience.
