We got the cheese sticks and escargots which were both really tasty. The sweet salsa for the cheese sticks made them really stand out for us plus the cheese was very stringy and salty. Escargots weren't huge but again very salty cheese with good amount of garlic. I decided to go with the Quebec tradition as another yelper said you can't go wrong with those choices. The hot chicken sandwich it was ! It came with mashed potatoes and green pees loved every bite and didn't leave a piece behind. The other meal we got was the club sandwich, with bacon well done and mayo on the side we knew it was gonna be great at it was cut perfectly with no soggy bread and no huge slices of chicken that makes it not close properly. They came with fries and coleslaw.. fries weren't my favourite a little bland but still crispy and the coleslaw was good. Service was a little slow but it was weekend but the beers we got were extra cold and our waitress was still a nice lady who was working hard. I will be back

This place is literally as good as it gets because it's the only place in town to eat. And for…read morethat, it does a demanding job very competently. We've stayed several times, for several days, at the nearby Ours Bleu motel, so we have little choice but to here every night for supper. We've tried a lot on the menu, and there are some hits and misses. The real hits for me are the more diner-style plates with Quebec classics - hot hamburger, hot chicken - served with homemade mashed potatoes (great) or fries if you prefer. Salads are good (not soaked with dressing). The pizza for me is a bit of a miss recently, though I remember really liking it several years ago. The house red is decent and cheap. (No craft beer here, just big brand domestics.) The jukebox is fun to try and super loud, so you can't hide your selections, everyone will know it was you. Expect eye rolling if you choose badly, or a favorable nod if you choose well. Service is variable - sometimes one person is run ragged because it's busy and no one else is working - but things work out well if you're patient. It's a vacation town kind of place, a rest-stop on a long drive kind of place, and a place for boozing regulars, so the staff has to deal with a lot of different kinds of visitors, and they do a fine job.

I did a quick search for lunch places away from the ski resort, and I found this place in the Old Village of Mt. Tremblant (about 10 minutes away from the ski resort). It's a counter-service deli where you order from a (mostly) sandwich, soup, and salad menu and find a seat to wait on your order. On this visit, I ordered the Thai Noodle Soup with chicken, which was A+. Tony had one of their sandwiches and side salad, which he thoroughly enjoyed! (Their side salads aren't all lettuce salads; some are more like deli salads such as edamame salad, etc.) Everything was really, really tasty and filling, and I'd drop by La Sandwicherie again in a heartbeat! My recommendation = If you have a chance, definitely check this place out for lunch!

TL;DR: Cute shop in Orleans selling salads, rolled ice cream, crepes and bubble tea. Signature…read moreSalad was good. I enjoyed the sweet salad dressing. I stopped by Sweet n Salad to grab a salad for lunch on the way to my parents' house (they were craving Chinese food, so I grabbed some combos for them elsewhere, but I was looking for something lighter and less greasy for myself, lol). I got the Signature Salad ($15.99), but substituted the pomegranate seeds with cucumbers. The salad comes with mixed greens, quinoa, grape tomatoes, feta cheese, chicken, pumpkin seeds and Italian seasonings sprinkled on top. I asked for the dressing on the side. The default dressing is their Signature dressing, which I can best describe as a light sweet dressing. I loved that it was on the watery side and was neither too oily nor too creamy/rich. I only used about a sixth of it, but saved the rest to use on my own salads ;) The vegetables were for the most part fresh. Although a few of the lettuce pieces were browning. The chicken was lean breast meat cut into cubes. All the salad ingredients are prepped and ready and they just assemble the ingredients when you order it. There are preset salads or you can create your own with the ingredients they have. Overall the salad was tasty and the portion size was good. The price was a bit high in my opinion, but everything seems to be expensive these days. It's definitely convenient, and there aren't many places in Orleans to get quick meals that aren't greasy or deep-fried, lol. It's one of the healthier options. I'm looking forward to bringing my nieces here to try their rolled ice cream. The restaurant has some seats to dine in, but there's no table service. You order, they assemble your food, you pay, and if you want to eat in, you seat yourself and cleanup after yourself. There are a few tables outside in front of the restaurant too if you want to eat outdoors. The restaurant is in a plaza so there's lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot. (140)
