The only decent place in Tremblant village The Tremblant village is a very touristy place. I came here during the non-ski season. not so many places are open. We came here because it has somewhat decent reviews and it was one of a handful of places that are open. There was no lineup at all. we ordered the burger and wrap. the portion was good. if I came here after a full day of skiing, I would still be full. The burger tasted way better than the wrap, and the price was not too outrageous. It seems to be the only decent restaurant in Tremblant Village that is not too expensive and has edible food. read more

Loved this place so much that we ate here twice during our ski trip. The stand out for me was the salad with duck confit. The duck was perfectly cooked and the salad kept it light. Anything on their menu is excellent from the tartare to beef rib, yummy. When we return this will be the first stop on our trip if not the second as well. Love eating upstairs with the giant bear. Service is decent. But I guess that's French Canadian things. Nice deco and cozy place. Food! They tried to be sophisticated but lacked 2%. Maybe 10%.... It's good enough for seasonal places. Steak was ok but it was $68 CAD. Not sure worth the price. But I understand it's ski town. So we were paying for premium. My duck confit was decent but piglet dish was not good. Overall it was decent. Will I go back? Not sure. For the money we had to spend, I am not sure if we enjoyed the food. read more

Such a cool place, with interesting, cozy decor and a great assortment of unusual meats (elk carpaccio, wild boar stew, half piglet shank, etc). It's surprisingly both great for a date night and also with a family; they have a kids menu and crayons but also a full bar. My favorite was the duck in blueberry sauce, and the half pigling shank was also really good. Both were so tender, and came with really good sides. I also got to try two unusual appetizers here: the calamari steak and frog legs. The calamari was great, very unlike its usual form. The frog legs were also tasty, but tasted quite like chicken (not that I've ever tried them before). We had a hard time choosing dessert, but settled on the rhubarb and strawberry crumble, which was incredible, I think we chose right! There is no better restaurant in Mont Tremblant and potentially all of Quebec (eating our way through the province and I won't ever forget QG ). The elk carpaccio is delicious, not gamey and the sides with it lend a fresh contrast to the rich meat. The short rib is hands down the BEST short rib I have ever eaten in my life. We will have to go back one more time before our trip ends I loved it so much. I couldn't stop eating despite being so full it was just that delicious. My husband got the elk tenderloin dinner and it was good, rather lean as is all elk but the sauce and sides (roasted vegetables and potatoes) were the perfect pairing. For dessert we got the maple crème brûlée and cappuccinos which were also fantastic. And the perfect way to end the meal. The cocktails were amazing with the Zombie being one of the smoothest drinks I've tried. The Moscow mule wasn't the best if you tend to enjoy those, rather sweet and the ginger beer is quite strong. Overall though, I won't be forgetting this place and need to learn how to make that short rib. I'll be dreaming about it for ages to come! read more

Great restaurant in the pedestrian village at the mountain. We've eaten here several times over the years, and it's consistently excellent. It's casual, with a rock-n'-roll soundtrack and food to match that ballsy attitude. Do you want to try elk carpaccio? Yes, you do, and this is a great place to do so. The small kitchen pumps out outstanding dishes, with a heavey emphasis on Quebecois influences. The last time here I got the Quebec walleye, see photo. It was phenomenal. After having a few meals in the bigger restaurants in Tremblant, we visited QG based on Yelp reviews. Quaint and quiet, we ordered our drinks within 2 minutes of sitting, spent some time reviewing the menu, then ordered escargot and bread for apps. They were delivered within 10 minutes and were tasty and perfect for taking the edge off our appetites. The main course, pork and beef tenderloins and the cheek burger came out quickly after ordering and were very good. Our waiter was friendly and entertaining and checked on us 2-3 times during our stay. If you want to go to a smaller place with great food and service at a reasonable price, try QG. read more

I went to Le Q.G. on a New Year's Eve ski trip. Since it is just a little further down the hill (less than 5 minute walk) you can avoid the crowds at the base area restaurants. The menu had so many interesting French options; escargot, boar, frog legs, elk. We got the boar, escargot, and tuna tartare. Everything came out hot and delicious (not hot tuna tartare of course). One of my favorite things about Montreal is being able to get escargot in a preparation other than the heavy butter sauce you see in the United States. If you haven't tried escargot I definitely recommend trying it at Le Q.G. for an unadulterated flavor. There was also a large cocktail menu including varieties of hot coffee drinks. I got the Spanish style which was smooth but without the creamy Baileys. Staff gave honest menu recommendations and was friendly and accommodating. My mom and I went here during our short visit to tremblant. It was really good! When we arrived, we were the only people eating (on patio) but by the time we left all the patio seats were taken. This place has a really unique menu in my opinion. They serve things like escargot and frog legs for honestly a pretty good price! I got the escargot to start and my mom got calamari. It was my first time trying escargot so I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoyed it! For mains, my mom othered the Quebec bison burger and I got a chicken wrap. The portion sizes were perfect and the fries were probably the best part. They were very flavourful and crunchy! That being said, our mains were still really good. I got a good amount of chicken in my wrap and had a bite of the burger (which my mom couldn't stop raving about). I would definitely recommend coming here if you can, I think it is a better option than other restaurants in the village but it's underrated. read more

This was a nice spot for a group dinner. Service was pretty quick considering we were the first ones there when they opened. I had a bison burger that was pretty good but a little on the dry side. One of my companions got the pulled duck poutine, but the fries and duck were cold... we were the first ones there as I said already, so I don't understand how anything could be cold. Frog legs were a little blah, tuna tartar was as expected but not worth $40, pork belly was also kinda blah and lacking a sauce to bind the bread-meat-Apple combo, but absolute highlight of the evening were the duck legs which may have been my favorite dish of our ski vacation. We had a party of 8 that went to this restaurant last night. It's a cozy little spot, absolutely felt perfect for a ski town. Due to it being later in the season, there was only 2 people working in the kitchen and 1 waiter who was also the bartender and server for everyone in the restaurant. He was PHENOMENAL. At no point did we feel like we needed anything and we really felt like he was our personal waiter. He was attentive, quick, made all of our (complicated) drinks quickly and deliciously and we never had an empty glass. I truly think it was some of the best service I've ever had. Then there was the food...from the apps, to salads, the entrees to dessert, everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the short rib as did two other diners and it was incredible. Fall off the bone delicious with perfectly cooked veggies and sweet potato purée. 2 other diners had the tuna, one had the elk steak, one NY strip and one bison burger. Not a single person had a morsel left on their plate. We split 2 of the Oreo caramel cheesecakes for dessert and they were delicious as well. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, and our waiter was a huge part of us having such a positive experience! We will definitely be back! read more

However finding unique well done dishes at a good price was nothing I expected from previous visits. However this place was a great find. a small out of the way place in the village but for sure an excellent restaurant. I think this is a great find for the area and one I would highly recommend. I see some reviews where food was not cooked to their liking and I suggest you tell the waiter and have them fix it. It is not easy to nail it every time to a guests taste and unless you are giving instructions upfront things can come out differently. OK - I realize that Mont Tremblant is lacking good restaurants, but honestly, this was not great. First, the positive - the atmosphere is just charming, rustic; they've done a magnificent job. And, the service was good. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Now, the food/drink - our martinis were served in a "old fashion" glass ... and with ice. WHAT??! So, I questioned if the drink was a martini and our waiter took the drinks and poured them into a martini glass. Interestingly, the martini glass wasn't even half full. Then, came our meals. Scallops and shrimp were better (esp the shrimp), but the pureed sauce was just OK - not a huge fan of beets, so this wasn't their fault, but mine. The escargot was a nice presentation, but only 2 puff pastry triangles for a heap of snails. The bison tartar was mediocre at best - not that tasty. read more
