How is this place still in business? Had the absolute worst experience at a steakhouse ever. First…read moreof all tacky decor. Tries to mimic a rustic American Steakhouse you would find in a cozy farmer state in rural United States. Didn't quite hit that.
Food wise: couldn't even get the basics right. Chickenwings and ribs as appetizer were bland. Cooked, not grilled, and just warmed up in a micro. Ribs should have been sweet, wings should have been hot. Could have been the other way around really. No way to really tell due to lack of taste. I guess they hope you would dip them in the mayonaise that accompanied them. BBQ sauce nowhere to be found. Onion rings straight out of the freezer. Red flag if they all look the same. Confection batter, and the onion filling was more pulp that actual onion. Garlic sauce provided to hide this failure.
Then had a 300gr dry aged ribeye as entree. BIG mistake. First of all I doubt it was even close to 300gr. Secondly I doubt it was even dry aged by the way the meat structure looked. Very mediocre quality cut of meat. But most importantly I ordered it medium rare and got it pretty much still saying mooh on the plate. Just a sear on the outside (with hardly any seasoning), already cooled off, lots of fat chunks (way too much for a dry aged rib eye) and nearly completely raw. Same for one of the other guests I shared the meal with. Sent steaks back. Got them back a bit later, waiter asks us to cut open a piece to check. Still raw! How on earth do you fuck that up?
Waiter says "shall I give them a bit more?". Eh, no thanks. Not gonna have my steak heated 3 times in a row thank you very much. Lost my appetite and told him to take it to the trashcan.
The chef in that place has no respect for his craft, no respect for the food, and certainly no respect for the guests.
If you can't get grilling some wings, ribs and foremost the Crown Jewels on your menu even close to right, please do everyone a favour and just quit.
I feel sorry for the girls that served us, because they did their best and it's not their fault, and they did take the steaks off the bill in the end. But still got left with a bill that in no way reflected the quality of the food.
The people that like this place either haven't had a proper steak in their lives, or just don't care. If you are a meat lover, you'll find nothing but a big slab of well done dissappointment on your plate.
Also don't look at their Facebook page for reviews. The bad ones are obviously deleted, like mine was.
