The coffeehouse is situated close to the König-Heinrich-Platz, hidden away in a small alley - I am pretty sure that I wouldn't have found it, had I not been directly looking for it. It is a small cafe with plenty of seats (indoors & outdoors), a tiny counter, its own roaster in the corner (yes, they do roast their own coffee beans!!!) and enough coffeehouse atmosphere to supply the entire city with it. It is quite obvious that the people here have a deep love for coffee - it's not just another "double-ccino-caramel-froth-something"-place, this is pure coffee made with love! And what happens when people add enough love, passion and knowledge to their product? You can taste the difference! Best café in Duisburg, if you ask me! Most important aspects first: free WiFi (the password is scribbled on the blackboard behind the counter), friendly staff, quiet lounge music and all in all quite the relaxed atmosphere with really comfy chairs. They have a great selection of sweet treats - I tried the white chocolate & lemon muffin, sounds weird, tastes like heaven! Apparently they also sell frozen yoghurt, though it was far too cold to try that out! The coffee is good, nothing mind-blowing or exceptional, but simply good, at quite decent prices. Only drawback: too many seats for such a small café...it was quiet when I was here, but if this place is crowded, I'd hate to have people all around me. The barista could definitely tell we looked confused, so she explained the process and translated the menu for us. A nice sandwich or panini will only set you back 4-5 euros. Coffee around 3 euros. Super cool vibe inside, you can see and smell the roaster and the pipes that run the coffee to the machines. The coffee bags from the various sources countries are throughout the entrance, and there's a lot of them! We had such a good experience the first time that we went back again the next day since it was near our hotel. Great place to relax for a while and grab a bite with a coffee or two. Plenty of locals throughout who I could tel were chatting for hours. Would come back again, and ps, try the pesto panini!

I especially like their well-made capuccino (even with soy milk). I haven't tried many of their coffee sorts, but there is a huge selection for all machines and of all kinds (I bought Espresso Napolitano). One can find their coffee in several places in the city. Go if you're a true coffee fan, or if, like me, you spent some time in Italy and miss a good cup. (There is also coffee to go and they sell reusable cups with a free refill. Clearly not a place for working especially when the roasting machine is on, but it has a nice coffeechurchcult kind of atmosphere.)
