Concur with the four star rating the combination of mostly locals and a few out-of-towners have come up with. Came on a Wednesday evening with a couple of family members who recently moved into the hood within walking distance. Shall not be the last visit for any of us, and although I'm a long, long way from home I intend to seek the Sisters out any time I'm visiting. Had the "Philsner" pilsner which had a strong touch of hops but not enough to deter from what I like in one. Also couldn't resist a sample of their stout which had a bit of sweetness to it. I approve of their treatment. An order of wings with some blue cheese dip disappeared quickly. The interior is sparse and the entire brewing area is openly visible to all seated. When we arrived there were but a handful of people and I assumed, wrongly, that might have indicated the general opinion about the food and beer. By the time we left an hour later it was packed. And in a good sign, this included families with kids and grandma and gramps in tow. There's a nice inviting outdoor patio space that would be delightful in warmer weather. If you come: dedicated parking area, credit cards accepted, plenty of inviting menu items if you're looking to dine in. Highly recommended. read more

This location was Trap and gill, Rusty cage, so layout is the same. A group of 8 of us sat upstairs with lots of room. The korean pork schnitzel was awesome! Kimchi slaw, gochujang mayo, mozzarella, ciabatta bun. I was fairly hungry and could not finish last bite, haha. The Wings were good size as well. My friend had the burger and said it average. The service was great and it was a busy friday night. read more

Nice casual brewery with patio lights and an outdoor patio and a warmer upstairs. 2 large garage doors. They do serve food which is a bonus. They have soups and salads too. And bowl dishes. A step up in price from your local pub food. Pleasant spot overall. They have a decent selection of beers including porters. Ample free parking and staff were helpful. Half a kale salad is good for most. read more

As of late, I've been on a massive brewpub kick. I'd heard great things about Bitter Sisters and I put them high on my hit list. And guess what? They also have a patio--you can make your beer drinking dreams a reality. RATING: 9/10 - Bitter Sisters As usual, I ordered a flight to taste as many beer as possible. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. I've tried the Berry Shortcake Sour--sounds weird I realize but I wanted to see what else Bitter sister had in store. Moody Morning Joe Porter did it for me. Anything that tastes like coffee and I'm in! My sis and I decided to share a couple of menu items. As cheese lovers the Baked Burrata stood out for us. Burrata has a firm outer layer, soft and creamy inside. This one was breaded and fried to perfection. The cheese oozed everywhere. Dolloped onto the crostini along with the fresh homemade pesto, Marzano tomato sauce, and voila: cheesy heaven. We also tried the Nashville Chicken Sandwich--a brewery standard and almost always a good choice. The chicken was perfectly spicy and crispy. I liked the chipotle aioli for its smokiness and the broccoli slaw for its crunch. This was just right for sharing! Good brewpub fare and beer is the way to my heart. Bitter Sisters knocked it out of the park. read more

This used to be called The Rusty Cage. It is now a micro brewery. Stopped in check it out. I was immediatly greeted by a very friendly server. They only serve their own brand of beer so I had to guess which one might be good. It came in a 16 oz. glass. It was actually quite good. Ordered the Truffle fries. Unusual flavour but I enjoyed them. I then ordered a coffee. It came in a rather large cup, I would guess it was 12 oz. It was good once I tamed it down with about 5 creamers! The clientel were middle aged with some bringing their kids and some bringing their cute dogs which are allowed in the outdoor patio section. I found all the staff to be friendly and hard working. I was looking for a place with a relaxed atmosphere to drop in and have a beer or even a coffee and this place fits the bill! My only complaint is that there is not a steak sandwich on the menu!! Hopefully down the line?!? I will be back and bring my wife with me next time. Cheers! read more

Food was pretty tasty and good beer! Service was solid as well, definitely recommend.

Bitter Sisters makes a fine fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was well marinaded, covered in a spicy crunchy batter. The burger wasn't overly sauced and the proportions of bun to chicken to broccoli slaw was balanced. I would have preferred a little more of that tangy creamy chipotle aioli, just so I could sop it up with the fries. The bun was soft and chewy. There is cilantro in the burger, but if you are a cilantro hater, they will take it out. A must order are the fries. Golden white, crispy on the outside with a fluffy interior. These fries reminded me a cross between New York Fries and the Belgium frites from the Fritz European Fry House in Vancouver. read more

Server was inattentive and a bit stand offish.. made some unnecessary comments. The beer was absolutely horrendous and the food was ok.

The service can be slow, but the service and servers are very good and polite. The food is awesome, it's pub-grub taken up a notch!

Large selection of in-house beer - you really can't go wrong they are all very good. I enjoyed the burger - lets face it you go for the beer - and reasonably priced. Service is friendly and we have enjoyed a couple of late summer nights on the new patio. Lots of attention paid to cleanliness and social distancing. read more

Opened 5 days ago and I stumbled upon it, so I had to go in. Awesome first impressions! First, it is refreshing to see this tired old building looking and feeling fresh and new again. The fun atmosphere, I'm told, is a reflection of the two owners' personalities. The name of the pub clearly being ironic. First beers were great. They know what they're doing in that regard. Six house brews (only 4 are mature as of today, of which I tried 2),: and 6 guest beers on tap. And I'm happy to see a full menu with enough traditional choices mixed in with the more novel fare. I had the beer and cheese fondue, chorizo added. Flawless. I wish them every success. It will be nice to have a spot of this quality in this part of town. read more

Excellent start to what will undoubtably become a local favourite. Brewer Marc has done a great job with his first ferments and the kitchen does a nice job too (with some great healthy options on the menu). The taproom is bright and nicely appointed and the patio is situated to allow for maximum sunlight. I'm a fan and will be frequenting Bitter Sisters in the future. read more

Atmosphere great, beers were great. Food is not good. Sent a chicken sandwich back twice, raw both times. Cesar salad was soggy. So overall I highly recommend going for a few beers but would skip in the food all together. I would suggest to the owners to hire a new GM and new kitchen staff asap while you still have the chance to be successful. read more

Ordered pickup for beer and dinner today. We were impressed by their care in ensuring to keep things clean and we enjoyed the food (we had steak frites, bacon cheeseburger, stout cake). We would definitely eat from here again! We are looking forward when things improve to come here, sit on the patio and enjoy some beer/food. read more
