After doing research on my upcoming trip to Krakow, I was disappointed to see how long it would…read moretake to get to city center via train or local bus and given that I had acquired another piece of luggage, there was no way I would be lugging that across various platforms. Never mind the cobblestones lining the entire stretch of Old Town. Taxis are also apparently not regulated so even though I had a good idea of the current exchange of the PLN, I didn't want to deal with that on top of haggling. My first Google search brought me to this shuttle service and after reading good reviews via Expedia, booked the round trip via their site. For the entire trip, from KRK to old town and back, my total in USD was only $44 so PLN 164. When I arrived, our driver had a sign out waiting with my name on it. Our trip to the hotel was quick and efficient and he delivered me right close to the hotel. Pick-up was also efficient and timely. Driver assisted with my bags and we were at the airport in 20 minutes. The fleet/shuttles are modern, newer, and provide a smooth ride. I also noted that with the amount of traffic going to/from old town, these drivers were well experienced. I have to also mention cute ;) If I could rate their service with 10 stars, I would. Please remember to tip the drivers well. I noticed a lot of American/Asian tourists were not heavy into tipping but for a country where the exchange rate is lower and a lot of workforce here are labor driven, acknowledging their service is just another way to express appreciation. Friendly, helpful, and with an efficient online portal, 5 top stars via Yelp and another 5 virtual additional for being a great addition to the transportation options from KRK to city center!

We had a poor experience with Discover Cracow. They changed the original time of our tour to…read moreAushwitz, moving it from a morning tour to the afternoon. On the way, the bus blew a tire and though we had told we would be picked up by another bus within 1/2 hour, we were on the roadside for almost an hour and a half. Because we arrived late, almost an our past our scheduled tour time, the Auschwitz guide abbreviate and rushed the tour. Despite multiple members of our group letting the guide know that we were not able to hear her commentary (the audio devices provided "crackly", broken audio if you were more than 10 people away from the guide), she continued to talk as she walked rather than waiting for the large group (30+) to gather before she shared information. In addition, we had a member of our family using crutches and a wheelchair, and the guide failed to pause when we exited the various buildings, leaving us literally running to catch the group. No one on the Discover Cracow team ever offered an apology for our experience, despite our attempts to reach out to them and share our disappointment following our trip.
