I spoke with Lance and he scheduled a site visit to inspect my parents house in Knoxville. After site visit, I received a cost estimate for repairing water damage to main bathroom floor and replacing old toilet. We discussed further details and proceeded with ordering the flooring, toilet, and bedit seat. During demolition, his crew noticed subfloor was also damaged (see pics). I was notified right away, they had to purchase subfloor and a change order was submitted. Work was completed within 2 days and my parents were very happy with the finished work. All billing was done electronically, and receipts were autogenerated. We have a few more mini projects in the house and will contact Lance again. 5 starts for Big Bear Construction! And towards the end of the project he said he ran out of the money to finish the project. Also I just found out that he pieced together my damaged rafters that were damaged, and did not replace the insulation in the attic. He hung my French doors crooked which allowed cold air to come in during the winter so I had to hire my handyman to take them out and fix the problem. He has young kids working for him with little to no experience. My house is only 1200 sq ft, it should not have taken 16 months to fix. Also when my hot water heater did not work he tried to replace it with a used one, after my insurance company had already paid him to put in a new one. He finally put in a new one 2 weeks later. My handyman also had to fix 3 interior doors that were hung wrong. They also damaged my Japanese Tree alongside my driveway. He also disconnected my power to my garage which had my upright freezer which he was aware of that was full of meats not once but twice. When. I didn't have a roof on the house and it was just boarded up and they had started working on the inside of the house they turned my heat on which inevitably cost me hundreds of dollars in my electric bill. Therefore I would not recommend This Company to Anyone !! Run As Fast As You Can!!

He wanted us to be 100% happy and wasn't looking to make a quick buck. This is a person who values integrity and a job well done. He and his team did great work and communicated well with us. Joseph was kind enough to share his expertise on various home repair stuff. It's nice to know why something needs to be done, rather than just being told it needs to be done. Joseph was also remarkably good at following up on details, and is a bit of a perfectionist in the best possible way. The company that was contracted to repair our gutters didn't do the job quite right in one corner, causing water to pour off the gutter when it rained. Even though he'd already been paid, Joseph didn't rest until the company came out again to do the job right, and on top of that he sent one of his men out to add some flashing in that corner as well. I asked them to hook up and tell me how low the system was and give me a recommendation. 1st estimate by another vendor was $5900. 2nd estimate by Foothills Mechanical Service was roughly a pound of freon and a service call. I recognize that the system will eventually need replacing, but to immediately recommend replacement by the first vendor is unsatisfactory. I very much appreciate the honesty and integrity of the crew from Foothills and when the unit does need replacement, they will get my business.
