We purchased my uncle's camp in Old Forge a few years ago. Because he used BJ Queen enterprises and was pleased with the service we have continued to use them. We had them install a generator, additional electrical baseboard units, and even a garage door opener a few years ago. We had no qualms with giving them access to the camp when we were away. We were very pleased with everything they did, including the cleanup. Therefore when a bathroom leak developed recently we naturally called them. We left a message and, as promised, BJ responded at the end of the workday and set us up with his repairman the very next morning. Matt arrived at the scheduled time, was very pleasant and competent. the leak was fixed that morning. then we asked him to look at a leaky faucet. A replacement of the original 50 year old faucet was needed, the part ordered and installed while we were away. and again there were no qualms about allowing access while we were not present. if it weren't for the shiny new faucet and the note Matt left explaining what he had done we would not have known he had been there, the cleanup was that good. In conclusion we have that found BJ Enterprises has good follow up to calls, arrives as scheduled, and is knowledgeable and competent. I can see why my uncle had such faith in them. read more

BJ Queen was excellent. We had been trying to get someone to look at our boiler and no one wanted to call us back. BJ Queen responded almost immediately and very soon thereafter they were at our home checking our boiler. They quickly diagnosed the problem and needed to order a part. Within less than a week they contacted us to once again come back to our home and install the part. They were professional. Extremely nice and would absolutely recommend them. We initially thought we would need a new boiler as we were having problems with it and it was 20 years old. They informed us that we had an excellent boiler and it should last another 20 years. They could have easily sold us a new one and we would have never known. They are obviously very honest. I did feel the bill was a tad high but then again their service was impeccable and well worth every penny. I would definitely use them aagain. read more

Outstanding! Eagle Bay, 4th Lake Cottage. We had the power lines ripped from the camp Sept 7th around 8 pm by storm but the power remained on inside. BJ was on site and inspecting before 10 and had a game plan to address this problem. Nat Grid pulled the power for safety. BJ's crew was there next morning by 7:30 and removed the tree and debris that pulled the wired down, using a bucket truck. Their electrician then reconnected the power lines and noticed the grounding was not up to code snd fixed that. They were cleaned up and out of there before lunch. Again, Outstanding. I have worked with this company for 20 years. They have always taken care of my needs, including surprise emergencies. The employees are friendly, helpful and clean the work area of dirt and any debris when the job is competed. We have gone through replacing dishwashers, hot water heaters, stove/ovens, electrical work , basic plumbing, new heating systems and most recently work involved with a hurried, last minute remodel. I always request an estimate before the work needed is performed and they hold true to that estimate, barring any unforeseen circumstances not under their control, or mine! Contacted BJ Queen in the morning re a galvanized pipe that had rusted at the joint leading to a major leak. Owner said he would have someone at my house that afternoon. A technician was actually at my house before noon. The tech replaced the rusted galvanized pipe with a stainless steel pipe and then replaced a pressure switch and two pvc plugs with brass plugs. Tech was courteous and explained everything he was doing. Overall, the price was a little more than I expected and unfortunately a minor drip persists at the location of the original major leak. read more

I was away and my phone alerted me to an issue with my furnace. I called BJ Queen and they came immediately. They texted me with pictures of the problem and got the heater running that day. They also took the time to identify the root cause of the problem and addressed that the next day. Bob (the technician) called and explained all the work that was needed. Came fairly quickly after calling for service and BJ diagnosed the problem right away. Ordered a part that was apparently hard to get but he found it and saved us from having to get a new hot water heater.
