I understand having animal allergies, but there are probably a dozen other class times available that Mr. Jay could have brought his child to. (I've been going for 2 years and have never seen another animal there besides this service dog. Jay makes it sound like every student brings their pet to class.) So it was a case of one man wanting another to leave or ditch his service dog so he could stay and watch his own kid. With the other man being handicapped, that seems awfully selfish. I believe he then wanted Master Williford to institute a "no animals" policy purely for his own benefit. He didn't get his way, so he did what all irate customers do: hopped online and posted a nasty review. How mature. How original. I love Triad Martial Arts. It has become my second home and a second family I didn't know I needed. Every instructor and student is exceptional. Some of the kindest and most helpful and caring people I've ever known. And I don't take kindly to anyone putting them down. Another student recently dropped everything to come get me and take me to the ER when I was having a medical emergency. I know other students would have done the same, as would the instructors. They're just fantastic people. As for Jay, I'd kindly suggest that picking a fight with a martial arts studio is probably not the smartest thing one could spend one's time doing. He should maybe go after a target with a similar sense of entitlement. Paris Hilton, perhaps.

So a few months back I was trying to search for a place I could learn some boxing and came across this business. I signed up for the free trial but didn't end up going because there was a woman that called me about not completely signing up online, however I checked my emails and I had went through the process already. I tried to explain this to her but instead of listening, she was kind of rude and not really letting me talk. She was doing a lot of talking over me so I already was kind of thinking this isn't going to work, but honestly I couldn't find another place that fit with my travel, home location etc. so I decided I wouldn't make my final decision on that. I ended up going into the gym one day in person, there weren't too many people in there so it was a bit awkward but I talked to the owner and he was being extremely short with me and when asking him questions about the gym or plans, he seemed to be extremely annoyed with me and bewildered as to why I would be asking questions and what I wanted to know, after explaining to him that I would like more info. Anyway, I walked around a bit and then left. After that I was still attempting to give it a chance, thinking maybe I'm being too sensitive, so I sign up for the monthly service. I go there one day, no one is to be found, no one is answering the phones at either location. After calling twice I got someone to answer who told me she would find out what was going on (she was at the other location). This was a Thursday, she called me right after that to say she wasn't getting response but when she did she would let me know. I never heard from her again until the following Monday. Mind you, I called Friday, Saturday and Monday as well to get updates. I was trying to get updates on if hours had changed, if something happened, they just didn't want my business, like I just wanted to know what the issue was. Only Monday afternoon did I get response asking me if I wanted to try again and clearly I said no because if I'm paying money but can't even get anyone to respond to me for days on end, I don't understand why I would do that. I did ask her to cancel my membership, she didn't respond that it was done so hopefully it was or I guess I will have to track them down once again just to get some kind of response after they charge me erroneously, because I will not be driving back up there to waste my time. Also when I went to go to the gym it was before the 11am closing they have listed on all places. On that Thursday I went around 10am and when I called that following Friday & Saturday those calls were also made before 11am, so maybe they were just screening my calls at that point but I also called from my work phone with no answer either so who knows! Don't determine anything based on my review, for you but for me it didn't work nor make sense.

Even if you're a beginner they can modify the activities for you and adjust to your level. I joined in Feb 2020 right before covid and have been with them since. Even during covid they offered outdoor activities to keep us on track. Definitely give them a try and you won't regret it!
