Not only are her choreography and songs are amazing, but the other people that attend her classes are encouraging and friendly. I've also done her fit camp classes and those are difficult yet effective for building endurance and strength. She offers online classes during the pandemic and they had been equally as enjoyable.

Erica Dixon is one of the best Zumba instructors I've ever had, and I am very picky about my Zumba…read moreteachers. I do not like Zumba classes that feel like aerobics, and I have low tolerance for instructors who can't dance, who have no rhythm, and who can't tell the difference between the various genres of Latin and world music. I haven't encountered any of these problems with Erica. She keeps to the beat, she's very energetic, and she knows what's up. Her class is challenging, but you will have a lot of fun and you will sweat! Students with a dance background will appreciate her choreographies. And her music is awesome. No Pitbull! She plays soca, dancehall, reggaeton, West African music, hip hop, and r 'n b, plus authentic salsa and merengue, with accurate moves to match. One of her routines has a bhangra flavor too. When we do squats we do them to the go-go classic "Da Butt" Erica currently holds classes 4 times a week in 3 different locations in South Durham and RTP: Monday 7:30 pm at Learning Tots Academy, Tues 7:30 pm at Bethesda Elementary School (you have to go around to the back of the main school building! I learned this the hard way), Thurs 7:30 pm at the Bethesda Elementary School gymnasium (separate building from Tues nt's class), and Sat 9:30 am at Learning Tots. She also does some special events, and she sells Zumba gear. The walk-in rate for classes is $7 (going up to $8 soon though) and she offers discounted passes (punch cards) for 5 or 10 classes each. There are about 50 students at each of her classes! but there is plenty of room to move around, and her students come in all shapes and sizes, so don't be shy. Bring water and a sweat towel!

Not for me. So I get how people can feel they have a good workout here and a cardio class will have…read morethem feeling good afterward and the place is overall clean so that's the two stars. But my experience was after signing up for a free class someone contacts me via text. They are asking some questions just general and seeing if I had questions so seemed off to a decent start. When I arrive for the class. They immediately wanted my id and some fitness background information as I went to wrap and put on my gloves they said I couldn't wear my own gloves. I had to wear 9round gloves. So I get told that they would do a loaner pair today for me to take the class and then when we were done if I signed up they would "give me my own with my sign up" the way this was worded was exactly like that. . Well there is not any type of stretch we just jump onto the first station as you guessed there are 9. It's just flowing through each station hiit style. I much prefer bag and partner work. Anyway at station 8 my legs were cramping and I was told I could stretch after .. After it was immediately time to try to sign me up on the spot not stretch. First of all the gloves that I was told I'd be "given" w my sign up actually cost $150- but $75 if I signed up right then and there. The overall pricing is high and it's not really worth the money imo. Following the class I got a text from the original girl who I had been communicating with and was there at the time of my class which was fine. Following that I got a text from someone else who works there who wasn't there telling me how great I did etc.. (weird) and then after that another msg using someone's " ring name" It's an overpriced cardio class for people who want to box but not really. It's not form/skill oriented but if you're solely looking to switch it up and drop some weight it would probably be okay for you.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is amazing and always encouraging! You never do the same…read moreworkout and there are no class times! Also, NO ONE JUDGES YOU-just encourages
