If I had known that it was going to look so good when we picked it up I might have had a used car sales ad ready to post to reflect the increased value. There are several reasons for an excellent rating. The detail of the work was highly professional, and my wife expressed it best when she looked over the exterior and then as we drove home when she looked closely at the interior. Her statement said at all: "It's obvious that the people at Lafayette Collision take pride in their work." Our experience from start to finish was exceptional, and there was no complaint to be made at any time. In this instance the owner, Nick, always was involved from our first meeting to get the estimate up until we got the keys back and departed. I make it a point to try to get three estimates for any major job that I have to have done. When I got the third estimate, I saw that the others were higher and, in conjunction with talking to the employees, I got the distinct impression that things were being padded. So naturally for the sake of my insurance company and my future rates, I went with LC as the one that gave me the best price and confidence that the job would be done correctly. Another plus is that during the week that Lafayette Collision had the car, we received emails about the status of the work and the expected date of return as was originally promised. The customer service also included a personal response by phone from Nick to an inquiry that I had left on voice mail. I would say that such service is a rarity in this day and age. So for those of you who like a company that knows what it is, I think this information would help you to decide if you're ever having to get car damage repaired. BTW, Nick threw a little freebie in for us with regard to a window chip that we did not expect but greatly appreciated. It's that type of consideration that gets people to return in the future when the service is needed as well as make legitimate referrals.

I received a rental car with the tire pressure and check engine lights on, along with incorrect paperwork. This should have been my first red flag. When I called to report the mistakes, the receptionist dismissed it. After picking up my car, I called to say the backup camera wasn't working. The receptionist told me to stop by for a scan. When I did, I was told Bradley wasn't there and to come back after the weekend. On Monday, they walked out, checked the camera, and said it needed an "update" but everything was working, and I needed to take it to the dealership. They claimed they would go after my insurance if the they were found at fault. That's unacceptable; if they are at fault, they should own up to it. The dealership found that my camera and harness were corroded and needed replacing. I spoke with Gerald, who claimed corrosion was impossible in a sealed box - a clear sign he didn't know what he was talking about. The owner, Brad, eventually called. He admitted Gerald was wrong, and the camera didn't need an update, but now refuses to fix the backup camera, calling it a "known-issue," even though it worked perfectly before I brought my vehicle in. This company has lied multiple times throughout this entire process, from start to finish. They cannot be trusted with your vehicle

BRIDGESTONE DUELER ASCENT…read more I purchased four Bridgestone Dueler Ascent (22") tires on 08/16/2024 from Willy's in Marquette. In November I became aware of a severe tire defect when we had icy road conditions. The tires are very dangerous on snow and ice. The tires don't grip and wanted to throw the rear-end of the vehicle into a skid. Also, the tires don't have a good "clean-out", which means snow lodges in the tread to make the tires like racing slicks. I contacted the shop where I purchased the tires within the 90-days of the alleged Bridgestone warranty to complain about the slippage. I asked if the tires were recalled or if they had other complaints; the shop clerk advised they had no recalls or other complaints. He suggested it may be the vehicle's anti-slip device over compensating. After experiencing a near loss-of-control again, I once again contacted the shop and they suggested I check for wheel alignment, so I made an appointment - which was booked-out for more than two-weeks, so the alignment was performed on 11/26/2024. Nothing was noteworthy on the alignment. I also researched the vehicle to see if the anti-slip may have contributed to the sudden loss of traction; no other complaints were lodged and the vehicle was owned by one owner in Canada for several years, which indicates it's not the vehicle that's defective. After stopping-by Willy's, on their suggestion I contacted Bridgestone to advise of the hazardous tires, but they really didn't care. Shop wisely, Bridgestone also makes other brands of tires.
