I haven't been tatted in 2 years and was actually super nervous. Especially since setting a boundary with myself not wanting to work with male piercers or artists after many bad experiences with them in the past. David's work was more than good enough for me to put that aside and give him a try. Not only did he exceed all already high expectations, but he is extremely professional and made me feel comfortable. The shop's front desk receptionist was amazing as well. Laura was extremely bubbly, informative, welcoming , and professional. She made the little bit of time he ran over with his previous appointment FLY, which helped with my nerves too. He is an absolute perfectionists (such a Capricorn lol), so I 100% respect it and if you're going to anyone for a service ever, especially when they're beyond phenomenal at what they do, you should expect your appointment to never be fully on time, DUH! A lot of artists claim to 'specialize' in black and grey shading, but are less than mediocre. The same way EVERY hair stylist to mankind 'specializes' in blonding, but are only semi decent. David TRULY specializes in black and grey shading and does exceptional work. He pays close attention to detail, and is very meticulous. I have never had a decent let alone good experience with a Tatoo artist, and am excited that I found my forever artist. I will only be returning here even when I move out of state, I plan to return. If you are looking to book, I'd do it as soon as possible considering he books out 6+ months out at all times. I'm glad he's working fully independently now and cannot wait to see the business fully flourish in the next coming months.

It healed very well, the artist told me how to treat it and to not pick at it and how to apply the ointment to it. I think it's a pretty small shop, but it is run well and and is very clean, a big deal for a tattoo parlor. The last thing I wanted to do is go to a weird, run down tattoo parlor run by a bunch of tatted up ex con looking types. Luckily, that didn't happen. I felt very comfortable getting my tattoo done here.

The shop itself is warm and inviting and though it's staff are obviously covered in tattoos they aren't intimidating at all! They are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible. The owner, Christian, has an incredible vision for this place and aspires to be more than just a tattoo shop but a cultural epicenter for the city of Flint. I looked into that situation and found out that he was trying to shut the business down all because his artist had to be hospitalized and get emergency surgeries. Then Kurt demanded that his tattoo gets finished on HIS time with no regard to the artist being in the hospital. He even admitted on a text message that he doesn't care and will do anything to hurt the business. So take my advice and just ignore that dude. I've never once heard anything bad about this shop. They're amazing. Also to add on, all the artists there have been tattooing for 4+ years... Even the apprentices have been tattooing for at least a year or two. Make sure you get the work done first before giving him a penny. If not he will drag your sessions on and on, eventually blowing you off and tells you he wont give you any money back. Paid for a full arm sleeve, he would take a 5-hour appointment to do a small 3x5 area then schedule you for another week. Went there for over a year and still not done. Kept asking if I owe him more money, he kept telling me no. In the end he said I got more than I paid for (still not done) and wouldn't continue working on me. Screw them!
