I went into Custom Ink & Steel to get my nose pierced and was completely surprised by the atmosphere in this shop, the staff was so welcoming and willing to help. I have now received 2 tattoos from Evan Oslund he does AMAZING work, he is also very friendly and talks to you the whole time, which is a big plus in my opinion. Both of these guys used to work at Splash of Color in East Lansing and have robust portfolios. I came to Eric with only a vague idea of what I wanted and Eric drew up a GREAT design for me; it was absolutely perfect! These guys are definitely artists. I would say my tattoo was moderately priced (I believe I paid $140 + tip for about 3 hrs of work). I know someone with a lot of work by Chris and her tats are all very beautiful as well. The shop itself is quaint and clean, very welcoming. Located in Old Town Lansing. I definitely suggest checking out Fish Ladder if you are in the Lansing area!
