For each of the indoor courts, they have a live camera to both view from the lobby or to record your matches if you need review or proof of winning a competitive match. Well stocked Pro Shop and Locker Rooms are at the entire which haven't seen either in many other competing centers around town! What makes Smithfield PTC special is their membership offerings for both lessons and clinics. They have a Standard membership if you are a social player or a Premium membership to allow you 6+ Reservations each month. The value of what is included in membership dues compared to what you pay is very affordable. If I were to live in Cedar Rapids full-time, I would be at Smithfield daily for their Pickleball drop-ins and recreation play. All the members I met during my stay were both friendly and inviting on and off the court. Looking forward to coming back to Cedar Rapids to visit Smithfield PTC in the near future!

On the coldest day of the year I decided to park my car and watch the birds ---- bald eagles to be exact. At least 25 of them. Just, wow! Is this an Iowa City thing? If so, I'd drive here just to bird watch at City Park more often. Looks like a fabulous little park (from what I can see under all the snow). Would be a fun place to come back and visit during the warmer months. Recommend - if for no other reason than to bald eagle watch!

I recently had to cancel my membership and he said maybe ten words in all to me and did not care about the cancellation. From my previous experiences with gyms I've never dealt with such a manager. All are usually very kind and helpful and want to know how they can improve the gym and how my experience was. Not sure I'll be back. The rest of the employees there are wonderful however!

We arrived around 11 AM on a Saturday. I had already made my reservations for noon to tour the farmhouse. Upon arrival, we made the $20.00 donation. I'm not sure it's required but it was a worthwhile donation. We immediately went to the gift shop (very expensive) and got my MLB passport stamped. From there we proceeded to the field and walked around. After we walked around (corn is only a few inches off the ground), I grabbed two gloves and a ball. My wife and I played catch in the outfield then I went to first base. Playing catch on the field is magical. It was memorable playing out there with the kids and everyone just soaking in the experience. The farmhouse is worth seeing. It's 20.00 per person and about a 30 minute tour. You don't go upstairs (it is available for rent) but the guide shared a lot of stories from the movie and MLB expanding the games here. Overall if you're a baseball fan you need this experience. It is truly magical and surreal. It's as close to heaven as you will experience in Iowa.
