Have deep connections with the facility and countless member friends. A few weeks ago, I was physically assaulted by a young member, accused of something I didn't do, and came under defamatory personal attack. Despite my history and lengthy spotless usage, the Y staff did nothing. I have been passed to six different people. None have been remotely helpful. And I'm encountering difficulty getting refund on the 6 months I've paid ahead. I'm both heartbroken and disgusted. The current Y is unrecognizable with the facility I thought I knew. Leadership is unprofessional and comes off as having no actual insight into the reasons that people use the facility and choose to remain there. After 56 years, these decisions are unpleasant, but I feel completely devalued and betrayed.

And even calling the 800 number doesn't help because if the facility is not admitting they have a hidden account for you then the membership does not show up. Filing multiple fraud complaints with the Bette Business Bureau may be only way to stop this hide and seek practice.

Tonight I get there, they let me scan in and then come to the locker room to tell me there's a problem with my account. I go talk with the manager and am informed that my wife needs to be with me every time since she is the primary person on the account. Without her I am not able to use the gym. I mention that they have allowed me to use it like this for the past month, and was told it was ok when we signed up. The response was "yeah, but we aren't anymore", and that I would need a new account. Mind you, upon signing up we were told different. They either need to be clear on their rules when asked during enrollment, or train their staff better.
