So, I obviously felt a connection and a trust with this the studio. However, I have since commissioned this company to make three memory ornaments after we lost a 4 legged member of the family. Of the 3 pieces that we ordered, only 1 arrived unbroken. After contacting the owner of the studio, I was informed that they would remake 1 of the ornaments only (even though the owner insured the packages with the post office when shipping them). I supplied the needed pictures for them to file the claim. We ultimately asked for a refund and was Promptly refunded for 1 of the pieces. So- I ordered 3, 2 of them came broken and wound up being refunded for 1. The one that was not broken is perfect in every way and will be cherished. Just be careful if you order and need it shipped to you.

They now devote almost half of the store to fabric and quilting supplies. It's ironic that they carry such a vast amount of kitschy made-in-China crap, especially when so much of it touts ultra-right conservative, "patriotic" sentiment. I left the store feeling disappointed, offended, and just downright sad. Because I still have family in the Black Hills, I will come back often for visits, but will never spend another dollar in the store I once loved.
