I was disappointed with the unprofessional tone of the owner during our recent meeting with her, especially the sarcasm displayed, which was inappropriate. Despite claims of attempts to contact me, no messages were received, and I found the lack of accountability concerning. I was met with dismissive remarks instead of accountability. The dismissive comments about 'working with what Mother Nature gives us' were not helpful. Most especially when the new florist had no issues getting us what we requested. The most disappointing part was that we have patronized this business for 6 years only to be treated so poorly. We've since found another florist who values professionalism and respects our cause as this order was for a fundraising Gala. read more

This review is YEARS overdue, but here it is. I never write reviews, but what happened here demands recognition. For me, the true test of a great business is not how few mistakes they make, but how they handle the mistakes - no one is perfect, so there will always be mistakes. Victoria's Garden is a great business. So, generally when I order flowers for someone, rather than ordering from someplace online that will just send the order to a local florist, I just find a local florist and call them directly. A couple years ago, I called Victoria's Garden to have flowers delivered to my mom at work on the Friday before Mother's Day (my mom lives in Rapid City, but I'm on the west coast.) When I do this, I let my dad know, so if anything happens, he can tell me. Well, I got a text from my dad on Saturday saying that mom didn't get the flowers. I called the store, and the associate I spoke with couldn't figure out what had happened, so she asked if she could investigate and call me back. Maybe 10 minutes later, I received a call from the owner. She apologized and said that the order had been misplaced, but that they would put my order together and have it out for delivery that day (on mother's day weekend!) Well, in the 10 minutes before the call back, I talked to my dad who was out and about town, and wasn't far from the store, so he offered to pick them up. I told Victoria this, and all was set to go. My mom got a lovely surprise when dad came home, the flowers were beautiful, and the bouquet was much bigger than I had paid for. Not only that, come Monday, a full refund appeared in my bank account. Victoria's Garden went above and beyond, and is now my go-to florist whenever I want to send flowers to someone in Rapid City. read more

Going to Victoria's Garden is a sensory experience beyond what you get at a typical flower shop. Of course the boutique smells amazing but the location is also amazingly, and meticulously decorated in a casual comfortable way to make a shopper want to spend the day. If food/coffee/tea/wine were offered the staff would have to enact a shopping time limit. They actually do sell wine and many other items besides the beautiful array of flowers. I was looking for a wedding florist and went in (admittedly around Mother's Day - a busy time) and was given some brief information. They did indicate that my date was available, but I was told to call back and wasn't scheduled for an initial consultation that day. I later called and was told the date was still available, and to email some photos of bouquets for quotes. It's been almost two weeks and I haven't heard back. I've used Victoria's Garden for years now, from when the original owners took care of me until now, with Melanie and Cathy doing my orders. I've ONLY ever had the family and friends I've sent to rave about how pretty and special their work is. Often I've been sent pictures to see what was sent and I've always been pleasantly surprised. They go out of their way to accommodate tight deadlines or last minute requests for special events. I live in LA and NY so my standards for floral arrangements are pretty high, and Victoria's Garden never disappoints. I have done business with this store for 20+ years and cant imagine getting better product or service from any other shop in or around Rapid City. More often than not, I order over the phone, and I am always so impressed with the level of courtesy and knowledge that I'm greeted with at the other end of the line. They just always know the right questions to ask and i love the amount of confidence i end up with that whatever ocassion, the end result will far exceed my grandest expectation. That being said, by all means create an opportunity to visit their store in person. It s by far the most creative decore in Rapid City, and you'll quickly realize that Victoria's Garden is leaps and bounds beyond just a flower shop. My stepmom had a knee surgery. I needed to get some flowers to her fast to cheer her up! I googled and found Victoria's Garden! I spoke to the NICEST person, Amy, who helped me tremendously. I should explain I am a wedding & event planner in the Twin Cities..so my expectations are a little different than most. She answered all of my questions...understood my creative needs and worked with my budget. I had no idea what to expect ..then a text with a picture came in: IN THE WORDS of my stepmom: "OMG. They just delivered these beautiful flowers in it's gorgeous wooden box. Thank yo so much! I was going to call, but wanted you to see the flowers so I am sending you the picture.
