We had Black Lion do two jobs for us - the first was a new driveway a few years which is beautiful, and more recently had them replace a pool deck. The pool deck was especially challenging because the original contractor failed to install proper drainage. The Black Lion team worked diligently to figure out what had been done, what went wrong the first time, and how to make it right. And they did - they installed new trenching, ensured that the drains were properly sloped and glued each joint to ensure no roots would not enter the pipe in the future. Recent heavy rains from tropical storm Hillary proved the success of their work. The finishing is spectacular - the surface is an even sand-exposed texture, and the stone accents are a work of art! Javier and his crew fixed several small sized but serious and tricky concrete problems and were able to do it within our tight budget. We had heaving and settlement of concrete walks, which were allowing water drainage into a storage area and a garage, and trippers from tree roots on a walkway. Javier and his crew removed just the concrete areas necessary to correct the drainage and replaced with new concrete at the right levels to drain properly. They added root barriers along the concrete they replaced due to root heaving so, we shouldn't have any more root trouble there in the future. We have used Black Lion Concrete for two very large projects. We had them remove our large driveway, and re-pour it with an even larger driveway. They did an amazing job from beginning to end. We then had them remove our 20 + old pool deck, and finally fix all the drainage that was done wrong 23 years ago when the pool was built. We have lived with a yard that floods, and a pool that floods with every rain. Black Lion came in and removed all the concrete, saved our stone work, and spent days figuring out what was wrong, and how to fix it without breaking the bank. They poured a beautiful new deck that they expanded for us, and put in stone work that matched our existing stone work. On both projects we have a beautiful new texture, and love both of them.
