You don't usually walk away from a home inspection thinking, "Well, that was fun." I did. A…read morelittle weird, but true. So, I am buying a house in Pueblo. And it's adorable. But anyway... Let's start with: Colorado's Choice is open on Sundays. Yes! Crazy, I know, and yet, they are. Which I was very happy about. Because it was Sunday when I wanted to make my appointment and I didn't want to wait. I'm very excited. I called and got a pleasant man on the phone who took my information and set up an appointment for Monday at 9 am. Because that is a person who understands what it's like to not want to wait. I pulled into what will soon be my new driveway at 8 minutes before 9 and the inspector was there, parked at the curb, getting his inspector tools all ready. He walked over to my car and greeted me when I got out. He introduced himself, Jerry. And then he told me how adorable my house was. I liked him right away. We chatted while we waited for the real estate person to let us in. We took a casual tour around the outside. He kept pointing out all the features that made me love the house. I liked him more and more. We finally got in the house and we went to work. He promised that he was going to be really critical and he was. Which is exactly what I wanted, for him to make me a to-do list. And he did, a nice long one. And he prioritized it for me. He did a great job and he was fun to work with. We chatted and I threw out my decorating ideas and he agreed. You gotta love someone who agrees with you. So, go to Colorado's Choice and meet Jerry. You'll have a great time.

I honestly thought I could have performed better inspections on my own in the past. Jerry performed the inspection in Pueblo, CO. He documented all of the problems (minor and major). I appreciated all of the pictures that he included with his reports because it made it very easy to communicate with the sellers the repairs that I wanted. Jerry was very flexible in his schedule to accommodate my real estate agent running a little late. His paperwork and forms are top notch. He relayed all of the information to me quickly and efficiently. I cannot express how happy I am with his work.

He left the door closed, and the cat was stuck downstairs for three days with no food or water. I know he had seen the note because the note been taken down and put on a table right next to the door. this is unconscionable and unprofessional.

Hello everyone, purchased a home in Pueblo Colorado, we were from Seattle WA. I believe Ken took…read moreadvantage of us living out of town. When you purchase a home you are under a time constraint for your inspections. Not knowing the area we went with our Real Estate Agent's recommendations. Our agent recommended Ken from "Jumping Rise Home Inspections". Once you meet Ken you like him, he is a good old boy, easy to talk to. Please do yourself a favor and make sure you review the contract, ask questions about what will be included in the inspection. If you are like us you expect that the professional you hire (for $750.00) is working for you. The home inspector should be looking out for your interest, telling you what you should be checking out, reviewing and ensuring that it is operational. Based on our expectations for this amount of money we feel that in this interaction the inspector is horrible, he not responsible for much of anything. Before having Ken do your work read his contract and make sure he does what he's supposed to do. Ken provided us with the contract/ his responsibilities only after the inspection was completed. Do not take Ken's word, he does not follow through. Beware when dealing with this guy.
