Horrible and unprofessional. Was called 3 hours before my appointment and told that I would not be able to get my tattoo done and would have to reschedule or lose my deposit if I couldn't reschedule. I picked the date for a reason even used time off at work to be able to get to the appointment which I explained to the manager. Manager and receptionist that I spoke to were not apologetic at all and essentially told me to go fuck myself. Had the manager even hang up on me when I requested to know why I wasn't notified that the tattoo could not be completed earlier in the week, the days before, or even the morning of the appointment. Well! My experience with the shop was outstanding. From my initial contact via Instagram until I left the shop after my tattoo, all was a very smooth process. Up on arrival was greeted promptly and verified for my appointment, I was offered a place to sit as I waited for my artist to come out and discuss ideas. The artis was excellent with providing details on what would look good and placeme, t etc. We agreed on lettering and their placement to best fit what I already had in my fore arm. The artist co-owner was easygoing and easy to have a conversation with. Overall, I'm happy with customer service and the work completed. Cutzsoza was the star of the night! What an amazing experience I just had at Black Onyx! The shop is beautiful but more than that is the quality of the artists and staff. Peach is a tattoo artist with so much talent. Her work with color is on point! I appreciate her gentleness with her tattoo machine. I had her add to an existing tattoo that represents my grandchildren, and she matched the colors perfectly, making it appear my tattoo was all done at the same time. Peach is kind, and her prices are very fair. Remember, you get what you pay for. My thought is, quality is the most important thing when getting something on my body that lasts forever. I got a tattoo and it went phenomenal very professional and understanding of my budget, they broke down the tattoo into sessions since they knew paying 6k for a professionally done sleeve is not within everyone's reach. So They gave me the option to do 600$ sessions until we finish it I thought it was really cool! PEOPLE TATTOOS ARE NOT INEXPENSIVE THEY COST, PLEASE PLEASE INVEST IN YOURSELF. I really love the atmosphere of this shop especially because I'm always very shy when it comes to new tattoo shops but everyone at Black Onyx made my friend & I feel very welcoming & easy to talk to.
