Coming to this barbershop today changed that all together. I received a haircut from George the owner and he cut my hair perfectly. In fact, he exceeded my expectations and took my vision of what I wanted to a whole new level. I came in wanting a "Peaky Blinders" haircut, from the Netflix hit show and he listened to every word I said concerning the style I wanted. While my hair was being cut, George engaged me in a awesome conversation spanning from family to travels. Every minute in that chair I felt I was hanging with an old friend talking it up, and before I knew it, George said he was done. Therefore, unconcerned about how I'd look, I signed on with Sports Clips of Yuma for a one-time visit. What I really enjoy about this place is its online check-in system. Create an account, and you can wait online for your turn. The website constantly updates its wait time, so you can relax at home instead of waiting onsite. I got a text ("Batter up," lol), so I headed on over and got seated immediately. I gave my stylist full creative control ("Just destroy it!"), and she obliged. It was a very comfortable cut. She took her time, blended the hair skillfully, and took breaks to ask if I was satisfied with the look. After the cut, she asked if I'd like the wash and massage -- how could I refuse? The shampoo and hot towel finish were fantastic. They do this part in an adjoining room with the lights off for extra relaxation. I could have done without the massage part; my stylist flogged me with a massage gun. I realized that each station was equipped with one and cracked up. Other salons I've been to use, you know, hands and such. Hot stones? Nah, you're hosed down with vibrations from the massage gun. It's alright. I paid my dues, left a fine tip, and thanked the ladies for their time. Even though I will never wear this look again, I appreciate Sports Clips for making it a good experience overall.
