Great coffee addition to the area! Have only tried their drive thru but was impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of service. In fact our first time there was a server outside taking everyone's orders before you get to the speaker (like Chick Fil a) so our drinks were ready by the time we got to the window! And it was raining. Very considerate. I've tried their lattes and flavored blended coffees which are absolutely delicious! The blended iced coffees like caramel truffle are pretty much a dessert. Not a strong coffee taste IMO. Their small size is 12 oz. Their kids shakes are also great too. They do have a food menu which I look forward to trying out. Love THE COFFEE! But this morning, as I wait in line I decide to make my order on the APP bc the order box is never on when I go. So instead of doing nothing while the 2 cars in front of me wait on there orders I order in the app . By the time I get to the window it's probably only been 1 min or maybe 2 . I tell the girl I made my order in the app. The barista making the coffee gets an attitude because I placed my order "like 30 seconds ago. " so I proceeded to ask her when she gives me my coffee a min later if she would prefer me to just wait to get to the window and basically she tries to tell me that if I'm already in line I might as well wait because essentially it just overwhelms her is what I got from the conversation bc she's been told by management that mobile orders need to be ready before I get there. I don't understand the problem if I have to wait for my order either way .. any time I order in the app I'm still waiting for my coffee or items at the window.. I go here multiple times in the week..I tell her don't complain about it in front of a customer because now I feel bad about ordering from this establishment period. This rubbed me the wrong way because it is not my fault that y'all choose not to use the order box in the line. Originally, I've been an avid goer of the Katy and Westchase locations, but when they opened in Aliana, closer to my side of town, the heavens opened and made all my wishes come true. As someone who tries to avoid Starbucks at all costs, Black Rock has, in my opinion, even more delicious options at a better price. You can also rack up points through your card or phone and get frequent free coffees. The best thing about Black Rock, is that they can whip up delicious coffee so quickly! Before you know it, that coffee is already being digested and giving your tummy the giggles. Staff in this location is usually very friend and efficient. I'm a sucker for the Iced Caramel Blondie, Mexican Mocha, and Blackout. All the sizes are huge as well. I also love the decor inside Blackrock, cool photo-op areas, and cool astronauts and fun stuff. Leaving this review because I could not get a hold of anybody through the phone. Hopefully manager will message me back and I can edit my review. We came through yesterday and we gave a simple order of a decaf Americano and a almond milk latte no dairy. They handed us an iced Americano and a sweetened drink. That was not an almond milk latte, so we give it back to them and they remade it all over again. They gave me the correct Americano this time and what seemed to be an almond milk latte from my daughter. After we left, she felt really sick because dairy makes her really sick. They had given her a regular iced latte and she felt sick for the rest of the day. They got the wrong order twice. Wish I could come in, but you guys are far from me and it would be nice if you guys could credit me my drinks that you got wrong. this can actually work out a lot worse for customers who have a severe dairy allergy, giving customers dairy milk when they asked for almond milk, specifically almond milk. Really disappointed. If one of you guys can reach out to me and fix this credit me for the drinks that would be great. I don't wanna drive 35 minutes to have you fix this. I freaking LOVE Black Rock. After spending hundreds of thousands (I'm sure) on Starbucks I quickly realized... it's not very good at all. When Black Rock opened by me I was so happy. The coffee is excellent, regardless of the drink. The vibe is so nice if you ever need to work remotely. The kids they hire are seriously some of the kindest most polite people you'll run into. They honestly restore my faith in humanity a little bit :') The drinks aren't cheap, ($7 for an iced latte with oat milk) but nothing is these days. Black Rock generally have been a good addition to the coffee community. Used them for drive throughs. This time I tried their regular drip coffee - Americano and tasted quite well, blueberry muffin, everything bagel and almond croissant. They were out of the regular croissant. What went well: - Service was very prompt - The food sizing was Texas size so it's definitely filling - Was able to auto apply my signup reward. - Food was nice. Especially the almond croissant. - Good coffee. - Large menu. What can be better: - It took a few tries to communicate the order through drive through since the noise from the road was loud especially if any loud trucks were passing by. They need to find a better speaker or mic for drive through orders - Although the person giving the drive thru order is masked, the exchange of handing over the tablet to sign for receipt does not seem very COVID friendly. - This location is not on their app and does nor pop up until we are in the neighborhood so hopefully that is updated soon - No phone numbers make it tough to ask any question beforehand. I am hoping for things to turn around a bit as time goes by. Also this company offers ground coffee options so it will be interesting to see if this location has any. All in all, I am looking forward to trying out more options from their menu. read more

Got an iced matcha latte with cold foam. Was terrible. It tasted like straight milk and I could hardly even taste the matcha in the drink at all. Why do establishments continue to sell overpriced matcha if they don't even know how to make it correctly? I had chunks of unblended matcha lined on the bottom of my cup and overall the drink was not at all worth the price. If you want to pay double what you would pay at Starbucks or minuti for mediocre coffee AT BEST, have a great time patronizing this establishment. Even if the economy were booming, I wouldn't pay $6.50 after tax for a 16 oz cold brew (filled to the brim with ice before adding liquid even if you ask for light ice because it's just going to melt and you're just getting 8 oz at most) with a splash of half and half. Nothing fancy, most basic drink. Can't go to place that takes advantage of people this way. read more

The coffee taste and speed at this Black Rock is certainly worth a try. My only grievance with this location is the inconsistency of the coffee quality when certain baristas are working. Everytime the young white girl with black and colored hair is working the window and bar my order is made incorrectly or the coffee tastes burnt. The first time I ordered a coffee she made it with regular milk instead of oat (which I had already paid for) and when I brought it to her attention she agreed to replace it but asked her coworker to switch places with her therefore blocking my view of the bar and how the drink was being made. I tried the drink after I had left the drive through trusting she corrected the mistake and to my disappointment she had made it with regular milk again. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt when I came by again and she was working and to my dissatisfaction the coffee she made was rushed and tasted as if she used old coffee shots. Every other barista I've encountered I have a flawless experience with, the coffee is delicious and they provide a very sweet service which is why I keep returning. read more
