I was in Richmond visiting friends and after dinner we were in need of something sweet and caffeinated. Dutch Bros Coffee happened to be right across the street from where we were so it was a no brainer to stop in. It was later in the evening close to the time they close, but they were ready for us with a smile. Like all Dutch Bros, they mainly do drive thru but also have a window if you want to walk up. No inside seating and I didn't pay attention to see if they have tables out front like other locations. As you pull up, someone will come out and take your order with an iPad. Customer service here was great. After ordering, you drive up to the window to pick up your order. I've been to some where the line wraps around the store, but they get the drinks out quick. It was a chilly night, but I was in the mood for a blended drink. These are basically coffee shakes. Now, the menu has a good variety of options such as blended drinks, hot coffee, tea, iced tea, shakes, energy drinks, hot cocoa, smoothies and even some snacks. On top of what's shown, they also have a pretty big secret menu. IYKYK! This time around I went with something off the regular menu which was the Caramelizer. This was a blended espresso, caramel and chocolate milk drink. They take the time to blend it correctly so you won't get chunks of ice while trying to enjoy your drink. I like this drink alot as it drinks like a dessert but still delivers the caffeine hit I'm looking for. My fam loved all the drinks they had too. I love that they also had caffeine free options for my niece who just wanted to be like us old folks. Overall, just like any other Dutch Bros I've been to, this location did no disappoint. This is going to be short and sweet...very sweet! I'm not big on coffee, period, but my girlfriend and her son are, so they took me on their jitter juice run one Saturday morning. They ordered their usual coffees, along with a muffin top pastry. No, really...they cut off the top of a muffin and package it as a snack...at the price point of a whole muffin! I got a highly suggested Peach Lemonade, which tasted pretty good, but was very,very, sweet! Sheesh! Also, I was told that each straw that is given to you with your drink represents something. They are such a gem in the neighborhood! The staff are absolutely delightful and helpful. They are more than willing to help with any special dietary restrictions. The staff recommended something off their menu and I loved it! I think it was a salted caramel hazelnut truffle....something along those lines. They were able to make it dairy free by using almond milk. The salted caramel foam does have a trace of dairy, but I'll have it without it next time to minimize any food sensitivity issues. They have a drive through and a pick up window. There is no seating area, so it is not a place for you to go and study or work. The drinks are a little more pricey but you get great service and a excellent drink. They often have unique options. read more

Just an update but I was in line at the drive thru at 9:55 pm with one car ahead of me. By the time I got to the window, it was 10:00 pm and they said they were closed. It is what it is, but I feel like if you're in line before they close, it's still possible to order. I had a similar experience at a different Dutch Bros location and the staff there were understanding and still took my order since I was in the drive thru line. The staff at this location may be new or tired but it seemed to me that, at least tonight, they were ready to close up at 10:00 pm regardless of who was in line. read more

The one that took my order was attentive and polite, but the one serving my drinks to me at the window, along with her fellow staff was absolutely rude to me when I asked her to throw a can away for me, or if they have a trash can outside somewhere. Nothing wrong with the policy she delivered, but the delivery with the amount of sas and looks her and her colleagues gave made me feel soo uncomfortable. I'd suggest going to the other locations. I typically get light ice on all my drinks and they fill it all the way to the top. At this location, if you order light ice, they do not. The rebel is on draft. I got a rebel with light ice. And it was basically 3 quarters full. I was told I needed to buy another rebel for them to fill up. My first time here, and I was made to order without even seeing the menu by a person on foot. after we figured out what I might like to drink (told them I liked Nitro cold brew and they said they had that), then I was guilt tripped into giving a tip; in a drive-through! By the time I went through and got my drink, the people and the drinks were a 3 out of 5 star, but I will be avoiding this place as I do not believe in being hit up for a tip before my experience is concluded, Much less a drive thru. Better than Starbucks in my opinion. My dad is very picky with his coffee and even he thinks Dutch Bros is very good. Usually I stop by in the afternoon and there is usually no cars or one car in front of me. Staff here are friendly and tries to strike up a conversation with you. My go to drink is an ice golden eagle with soft top. Delicious! I believe it's drive thru only, no dine in. Can't wait for more locations to open and one closer to my home. TAKE MY MONEY. read more

When this location opened close to me in the ever-growing Aliana area, I knew that I would become a regular. When they first opened, that customer service was spectacular! I kid you not, it was like going to a Chick-Fil-A Drive Thru. The kiddos were out there, tablets in hand, and taking orders right up to your car. All they were missing was the good old, "my pleasure." Since this is really just a drive-thru coffee spot. I appreciated the quick efficiency. Sometimes I would get my coffee brought to me before even reaching the window. Other times, that coffee would be there waiting for me at the window, begging to be mine. Ha! On some visits, they also give away free stickers, which is always a cute little treat. In more recent visits, the customer service has gone down a bit. This location is good 85% of the time. They either rush your drinks or they take their time.. and rush them when there isn't anyone behind you. You ask for light ice, they give it to you or like 4 ice cubes LOL. Otherwise the staff is great and they make through the rush fast. If the line is too long definitely enjoy their window service! A lot of mixed reviews here but I am going to give you my opinion. Location: 5 Coffee: IMO - better than Starbucks for what I have tried.. I get: Dirty Vanilla Chai Pour Over (no ice) My hub and kids choose from the expansive list of lemonades! Pros- The drinks are yummy, the staff is friendly (they are told to make conversation- so indulge them), the REWARDS rack in quick! The staff is composed of high school kids so Be Kind! Areas for improvement- The ordering process and wait for your order: The staff stands outside in the heat/rain/Texas weather - (Dutch Bros accommodates them with personal tents and covers on the iPads (where they take your order)) and there are two lanes for you to pull in... there have been times when a car that rolled up after me gets their order taken before me (happened today). This can cause issue - BUT just because they take your order first does not mean you will get your order first. They will bring your order to you allowing you to exit through the exit lane. It pains me to write a negative review since I love Dutch Brothers, but I've had two negative experiences at this location. Last week, I used the secondary lane that was open for the drive-through. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting in line for over 35 minutes because the employee was only taking orders from the first lane. Both the car in front of me and I left without ordering; I was so frustrated that I just drove off without completing my order. Today, we visited Dutch Brothers again. The line was roughly 15-20 cars long and extended out of the parking lot. There was no one at the walk-up window, so I parked and went to the counter. When I placed my order, the lady who took my order immediately started making drinks. I could see that both stations were up and running. Soon after I ordered, another employee told the lady to break down that station, indicating they would only use one station for both the walk-up and drive-through orders. This decision resulted in a significant delay for my order, as I had to wait roughly 20 minutes while the one station serviced the drive-through line. The wait time was frustrating, especially since it seemed there was enough staff to manage both the counter and drive-through. This lack of coordination and service efficiency made for another disappointing visit. I hope Dutch Brothers addresses these issues to improve customer experience in the future. read more

Ehh I have mixed reactions from this Dutch Bros coffee location. Some days they make it really good, some days are just plain bad. Their pumpkin spice caramel cold brew is NOT nearly as good as Starbucks. Dutch bros have decent drinks and they offer many things to choose from on their menu. It took about less than 5 minutes for my order. The taste was spot on and was refreshing. But it was too sweet for my taste buds, purely a personal preference. If you suggest what you like they will help and suggest what to get. You can tell the employees all get along well and support one another They are pet friendly and offer pup cups for your pets. The employees have the best attitude and are always so upbeat I love it! A few things to remember: The lines will be long the employees literally have no control over this and should show you how great their drinks and service is. All the drinks here are sweet but it's a good treat once in a while. This is not a sit down type of coffee place. You can either order through Drive-thru or walk up place an order. I've always not have to wait very long which I like. My favorite drink is the golden eagle blended. I tried to tell them to put less sugar but it still ends up being pretty sweet. The bad Hilariously enough the coffee. Tried the cold brew with a splash of cream. The coffee had zero flavor which is very disappointing when you're craving a coffee flavored beverage. I drove 15 minutes to try Dutch Bros Coffee. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I thought their iced coffee (I had the iced Annihilator) was just average. I was really excited to try, because I only drink iced coffees and this chain seems to be specializing in it. I think the coffee was not made sweet enough, so after the ice is melted, the coffee tasted really bland. Also, the coffee flavor was not strong enough for me. They also have very limited food items. I tried the Lemon Poppyseed Muffin Top and was a bit taken back that it came pre-packaged. It tasted good though, but it was not freshly made.
