I don't know where or how I stumbled across Todd but probably because of reviews like these that gave me the confirmation to go ahead and contact him for his services and I hope this review can help someone else in the future too. I don't know Todd on a personal level and I am embarrassed to say I don't even know what Todd looks like. All our interactions have been via email or over the phone and I typically prefer face-to-face meetings but Todd was extremely easy to work with and very responsive that I did not even need to meet the guy! Overall Todd is an extremely professional, courteous, and astounding guy. He is easy to work with, reasonable, and will get to the bottom of your case. He is experienced and has a wealth of knowledge and knows what he is talking about. He will not give you a run around answer or blow you off by any means. If you ever need a real estate lawyer, Todd is your man! For those who need additional details, I reached out to Todd via email for an initial consultation to see if he could provide his services to help me with my home purchase in Baltimore City. Being a first-time homebuyer, there are many things you don't know and you can easily be taken advantage of if you are not cautious and you don't have someone supporting you. The real estate law in Maryland can be tough and the contracts can be over 50+ pages! So I contacted Todd and asked him a few things and he responded within a few hours the same day/night (in the wee hours of the morning mind you) even though he was just coming back from vacation. Todd responded that he could and would and asked me to forward him the contract, without a single request for payment. I being a reasonable person understand that lawyers are a dime a dozen and they are not free so I asked for his cost and he told me his rates and how many hours he typically bills. We went back and forth a few times over email and he answered all my questions and was completely honest and fair. He then asked me to send over my contract before I signed it and he would review it for me. He reviewed the contract within a day and not only did he do all of that and more, he did not even charge me a single penny! He told me everything in the contract was standard and his services were not required in my situation and gave me a few pointers to move forward. I kept Todd in my contacts and I consulted him once or twice more along the way. He gave me excellent recommendations for inspectors and insurance agents and I used them and they were fabulous and just as easy and professional to work with. A couple of weeks before closing, Todd even reached back out to me and asked if I needed anything further for my purchase. We spoke over the phone this one time, and he was extremely helpful and listened to everything I asked and gave me suggestions. At this point I was completely shocked and thanked Todd tremendously. Lawyers are not cheap by any means and many won't even respond without establishing an attorney-client relationship first. Todd took it upon himself to help me and close all the loops without expecting anything in return. In addition, I learned from Facebook that Todd is also a great community guy and willing to help the people in the neighborhood. Todd works with realtors and insurance agents to provide workshops and information sessions for interested buyers, which is extremely great for new and inexperienced buyers. I'm sure Todd gets plenty of clients and does not need my referral or anything, but I want people to know what to expect and what they will be dealing with, and that is a wonderful and honest guy who goes the extra mile. Find Another Law Firm!…read more My fiance contacted this law firm after experiencing a non fault auto accident that resulted in a Workers Comp claim. His original point of contact in the office was Alana. A woman who in our experience has proven to be completely incompetent, lacks integrity and has absolutely no work ethic or moral compass. To start, everything was going smoothly, he received his WC insurance without hiccup. Suddenly the payments stopped although he had followed all procedures, kept every appointment and was kept out of work via doctors orders as his injury was slow healing and would require additional medical care. In making contact with Alana, he was advised that WC stopped the claim saying that he had missed the appointment with the WC doctor which was not true. She then changed the explanation saying that the WC doctor had cleared him to return to work. My fiance disputed these findings saying that orthopedic doctor had not cleared him and that he was still injured. Finally she reviews his medical record and confirmed his continued injury and absence from work along with the addition medical treatment needed. She stated that she would file an appeal that he would hear something back soon. It has now been over a month with no response or update from Alana. She does not return phone calls or answers emails. She is completely unprofessional! Finally, my fiance was able to speak with the lawyer directly only to be told that he had not seen any of his paperwork and knew nothing of his claim. He also stated that he was told by Alana that my fiance was deliberately trying not to go back to work! I'm sure plenty of people take advantage of these types of situations however, this is not the case! The audacity of this woman to create such a negative false narrative of a client and the unprofessionalism of the lawyer to repeat it! As it turned out the WC doctor had cleared his return to work because Alana had not sent any of the updated medical records to WC. After threatening to seek alternative legal council only then does this lawyer, Werthamer review his case, confirms the same medical information that Alana previously confirmed and states that he had filed the appeal. It is going on another 2 weeks with no update and no response from Werthamer. Run don't walk to another law firm. Clearly shit rolls downhill in this place!
