First time in Blackpool and honestly I would never Go back . pleasure beach was just an annoying over crowded nightmare. They let far too many people in at the one time you're lucky to get on 3 things in the space of 3 HOURS . The streets are full of homeless , cigarette ends and horse crap. One of the family bars we went to the "children's entertainment" Was the most annoying ever! The guy went round with the Mic and just let about 30 kids make a very long "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" down the Mic ? Lol that was his entertainment? It was just brain damage for a good 15 mins till I had to just leave my drink and get out of that place . Then I get back to my BnB to find the owner laying crashed out with his empty drinks around him .. No bar for the customers that night then since he seemed to have been drowing his sorrows . I don't blame the guy I'd probably be doing the same if I lived there. Personally didn't like Blackpool and wouldn't go back The place is just a mess . Three simple words make this place visiting. The. Big. One. Bonkers high rollercoaster (I think it was the highest in Europe, possibly even the world at one point?). If you don't regularly do 'thrill' rides, like me, then be prepared to have the bejesus scared out of you. Very very high, very very fast and very vary frightening! That said, when you reach the end unscathed there is a Teletubbie in all of us that will shout, 'again, again!'. The rest of the park is not without its other attractions. Blackpool Pleasure Beach can be made affordable if you use Tesco Clubcard points to order wristbands as they are very expensive normally. The scale and variety of the rides is immense and can be quite over whelming for younger children. The Big One can be seen from most points in Blackpool and not one for the faint hearted. A really interesting ride is the Avalanche which simulates a bobsleigh run and is unique in England. It only reaches about 50 mph but feels like 3 times that speed with the bonus of not turning upside down ! Best for big kids and young adults. read more

I was really disappointed with the place. I was there with a small group of friends and whilst I didn't want to go on the rides, a few others did. I thought the place looked tired and dated. Candy floss in a tub? What's that all about - and at an extortionate price! We were there mid September and the biggest queue was for the Big One. Best thrill of the day was seeing the carriages getting stuck and a technician having to walk up the rail/track to reach the people in it. GREAT DAY OUT. CHOOSE ONE OF THE WRIST BAND OFFERS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR THE BEST VALUE. THIS WAY YOU CAN GO ON EVERY RIDE. Queues are a bit long in high season which can be a pain when you have young children with you. The park is gettingon a bit now and could do with a lick of paint and a little updating. Fantastic place to visit. You can spend hours of fun with all the family. There are rides for the little ones, up to the 'big one' for the big kids. It depends on the height of the child, but it's easy to work out, there are measures at every ride. You don't pay with money, you have to pay with pre-purchased vouchers, makes it easier than finding money evry ride. Its just a pitty the pleasure beach blackpool dont look after good staff that have put sweat and blood into it for years, mr G Thompson and his mother Doris put staff first god bless them both, all staff was behind them 100% thats when it was busy.And a member of staff was a member of a team that pulled together and made the park what it is today. read more

This used to be a great place to visit when you paid for individual rides and could get into the park for free, but now they have started charging for entry, meaning that grandparents or others accompanying children have to pay £20 even if they don't intend to ride and just want to watch read more

fantastic, something for everybody, great family day out, beaver creek is brilliant for younger children and with a wristband they can go on as many times as they like!!! There are loads of scary huge rides for the braver person including the pepsi max big one!!! read more

I took my children to blackpool for the summer holidays they loved every moment it was a thrill a second we even went back for a weekend break this is the best place for kids to enjoy. read more

The pleasure beach has some great rides for all ages my favourite is the river caves especially the egyptian section and the calming music.

Not as big as some theme parks but definitely worth a visit. Some great rides for old and young.
